Have you been jumpscared recently?
I'm a grizzled veteran. Years and years of Myers and Ghostface and even Tinkerer Doctor have numbed me to jumpscares. Nerves of steel. NOTHING in this game can scare me. Or so I thought. I got jumpscared by an unlikely slasher. The Pig. Let me explain.
On a generator I'm ready for you. I know you're coming. I may take a hit but it'll be an emotionless one. I'm plotting my path to loop you. No big deal. So it's that kind of situation. I finish my generator, and we haven't found the killer yet. I haven't explored enough of the map to find a jigsaw box. I'm clueless.
Now the new Pig outfit has a hoodie that's VERY similar to Meg's default at a glance. So I round a corner and see the black hoodie. Okay. Meg is being a Meg. No big deal. Meg stands up. Meg has a knife. MEG IS SCREAMING AT ME.
Every time I picked on a Meg flashes before my eyes. 'Jesus ######### CHRIST!' I yell in the real world as my mouse is lifted with my hand.
Listen. Pig is the least scary killer in the game. She's a dorky woman with a rotting pig on her head and a bright red coat. The longer I let it fester without telling anyone, the more it's going to bother me.
So...anyone here gotten the big spook lately?

Sometimes :) I been playing since 2017 so the scare factor has worn off sadly....though this game does throw in some great surprises for us horror fans at times! Like the Sadako jumpscare.....once in a great while also, Pigs and Ghostfaces will get me if I am not paying attention.

Yeah, I tried to pick up a Survivor and I got pallet-stunned and it scared the ######### out of me.

There is nothing scarier than turning a corner only to get pallet stunned by a survivor you had no idea was there.

I'm normally quite aware on gens but just once a few days ago I was not really paying attention, just thinking of other things. I was just kinda looking at one set of stairs under the main building on plagues map and the hole area.
An unheard of tinkerer legion completely caught me off guard and soon jumpscared me. He came down the other set of stairs of course. Haven't been jumpscared like that in a while.

I get the spookies startled outta me everytime I’m working a concealed gen and any random survivor creeps in from around the wall to help repair😅👻

A friend got distracted for a second and was jumpscared by a Plague.
It doesn't happen that often, but when it does it always gets my heart going lmao. Probably helps that I always SWF and am easy to get distracted by conversation

truly this. You're just casually traversing a map, and a survivor that believes you know where they are throw the pallet they are concealed behind and your world is rocked for a few fleeting moments.

I was just walking minding my own buisness when a survivor jumps out of a locker right in front of me. Scariest thing I've ever seen.

I’m a Killer Main, but a friend wanted to try DbD on his new Ps5. I’ve been using tinkerer, I know how it works, but I’ve never truly ‘felt’ tinkerer until a Leatherface popped up beside me, locking me in place and started revving up his chainsaw. Game hasn’t made me yelp that loudly in a long time.

I've been scared plenty of times in this game. Players may say DBD is no longer scary game however, there will always be that 1 scare that'll remind you this is a horror game and it's got scary moments.
