Can survivor "survive" without Dead hard?

It's crazy how people say this like other exhaustion perks are equivalent to DH. Cynically going on about how oh everyone will complain about sprint burst!!!
No they won't. I know immediately whether someone has Sprint burst. The secret is I just follow them while they go a little faster for a bit. It's not a big deal. I'm not successfully mind gaming a survivor and getting robbed out of my hit by someone pressing E. I'm not hugging a survivors back playing the will-they-won't-they-press-E game the entire time. Nobody runs auto sprint burst scripts. Jesus.

So yeah, you dont know anything about proper SB users. SB is on par with DH, the playerbase - as always - is just too lazy so they all run DH, and most players that run DH dont even get to the point its used properly, but killers always complain.

You have to get hit to activate overcome all it does is add 2 seconds to the sprint which you don't even need

Because you have more fun with dh

Depends on the player who you run into.

Because when you look at all the exhaustions across the board, Dead Hard is the only perk that works best when in short distance loops, meaning that you aren't leaving the area to get to another zone.
Sprint Burst is a much more safer option, and you are only using it for long distance... which is why you don't see SB users, use it to run around shack or an LT wall (as examples).
I've always actually said that if the devs created another perk that works similar to Dead Hard with regards to being more potent during a short distance chase/loop, players would be using that as well. People like to get chased in this game, the other exhaustion perks do not promote chasing but a killer leaving you alone instead.

The pros of dead hard are more rewarding mentally. Making the killer miss/extending the loop give instant gratification. Sprint burst... you just run really fast away.
Both perks are probably the strongest perks. Dead Hard can extend a chase 20+ seconds just by allowing you to reach a pallet/window/etc. that you wouldn't have been able to in the first place. Sprint Burst on the otherhand guarantees that you should always start a chase on good footing. Always be at a loop instead of potentially being caught out in a dead zone like you can with Dead Hard but requires exhaustion management.

Yes, if it’s not in solo q.
Otherwise dead hard is essential as your teammates won’t be there to help you out unlike in swf.
But could be wrong, heard sprint burst is equally as good now so that might become the next dead hard.

Yes. I use DH less than 1% of the time and learned how to play the game without it, and I’m glad I did too because when it eventually gets nerfed I’m not going to be part of the group of survivors that will probably get severely thrown off by the nerf because they’re so used to using it.

Strawman argument, that was NOT what I said at all.
Tell me, if a survivor would not make it to a safe pallet or vault unless they had DH to compensate, how would one counter them pressing E to make a pallet or vault?

If you asked me 6 months ago. Totally.
Now? I'm completely unable to answer it, because it's not used as a crutch so much as a wheelchair with little rockets duct taped to the back.

Those other strong perks have counterplay!
Survivors say SB will become meta if DH gets nerfed.
Survivors will either get caught exhausted from SB, or SB to a dead zone, or Mind breaker/Fearmonger will become meta.
