Increase wiggle time if 3 survivors can body block
I've played Dead by Daylight on and off for a few years now and I've noticed how easy it is for survivors to deny killers a hook. Either sabotaging or body blocking is so effective, especially during the EGC.
Ive had games where I am clearly outmatched by the survivors but I try to stick it out and see if I can improve through seeing how they play. However, when the survivors are already a much higher skill bracket than me, they burn a Macmillan map offering, they bring a squad with arguably the strongest perks available, it just, I don't feel like I'm learning a damn thing. All of this is compiled when I realize that getting a single kill during these matches will probably be just barely possible.
I just finished a match where, during the EGC, every survivor was sabotaging hooks and running into a corner of the map if I caught them out in a bad spot. I literally couldn't do anything. I finally stopped one of them from sabotaging a hook and got the survivor down. The other 3 had 99'd the gate nearby and bombed the hook to rescue. I smacked one during the unhook, the other 2 protected the 2 injured survivors, before they could get the gate, I managed to down the freshly unhooked player. They opened the gate and immediately tried to swarm him so I couldn't pick him up, didn't work, as I picked him up they all stood in front of me, I smacked one who ran to Sabo one of the nearby hooks. I smacked another blocker who proceeded to run to the exit. I smacked the third and they ran away too. I managed to make it to a hook slightly further away and got 1 kill. The other 3 survivors stood by the exit gate and tbagged for about 15 seconds until they had to leave because of the EGC.
So not only did they Tbag after absolutely destroying me, they did every single sweaty thing they could to stop me from being able to do anything at all.
I get it, survivors help other survivors. That said, if a survivor can damn near deny me 1 single kill by body blocking, I think something could be done about the wiggle timer. Add 5 seconds to it, I don't know but it's frustrating how much of the killer power is placed in the survivors hands.
As a person who plays both sides but prefers killer, it feels like absolute garbage to have the sense of helplessness as a KILLER.
Also, to anyone who only plays survivor, don't Tbag at the gate after you've clearly won. The killer probably already feels demoralized as all hell, pouring salt on the wound is just exemplifying the sentiment that the DBD community is truly dog crap.
Rant over. Sorry for the long post.

Mad Grit has entered the chat room.

Nothing needs to be nerfed here. Wiggling and Body Blocking are fine and as a killer you have perk options specifically for dealing with body blocking (Mad Grit, Starstruck, Agitation, Iron Grasp).

3 survivors not doing gens, taking hits so if you chase they're one hit down, and you want to make it almost a guarantee you get hooked?
Like c'mon man, 3 survivors rarely tank hits and it's even rarer a survivor breaks out from tanked hits

Slug and down the others. This is a you problem.

During the EGC. I should've been more specific, my bad.

So buy a bunch of killers I don't want or wait till those perks show up in the shrine. No thanks.

During the EGC when I'm trying to get a single kill because I won't net any others. Yes, it's as easy as "sLuG aNd DoWn OtHeRs". This isn't a me problem, this player base' answer for everything is either buy a bunch of killers to spend all your bloodpoints to get their perks to have a chance to see them in your bloodweb eventually so you can counter this bull **** OR it's not the game, it's you.
It is very much allowed to be a game play issue and to me, this is. During the EGC an extended wiggle timer won't break the game because the other survivors can choose to leave. If they take hits to body block, they MIGHT save their friend, but it happens too often that body blocking is the optimal thing to do with very little repercussions.
This is my opinion, you have yours. No changes are going to come from me posting this but you better believe I stand by what I'm saying. As you've already done, feel free to disagree.

From what I understand, you want an extended wiggle timer during EGC. Yet in the game you played they didn't actually successfully save the survivor they were body blocking for in the first place.
This is the equivalent of survivors asking for a longer hook state in EGC so that they have more time to save their teammate (even though they did save their teammate but it was a close shave).
I get you had a bad game but the core mechanics of the game shouldn't change because of it (you also got your kill anyway...).

EGC is only meant to make sure the game ends, it gives no advantages to either side (this is actually a lie as it favours killers by giving them kills and makes bloodwarden more deadly if timed corrently but idc) but increasing wiggle time while EGC is active, so you can pull survivors further away from an exit gate to force timer deaths is just making EGC more of a tool for killers and the devs don't want that.

Or better yet... the killer can just drop the survivors and start swinging (if they don't have mad grit)

Let me walk you through this.
You did not kill a single survivor all the way up to EGC
You had no other survivors injured
You are not a killer that players fear bodyblocking with
You chose not to use any perks that would dissuade survivors or put you at an advantage if survivors were to bodyblock.
You did not check to see if survivor were nearby before you picked up the survivor
5 specific scenarios were checked off to be the reason as to why you, not the game mechanics, are the reason you could not successfully get a hook. Game mechanics aren't made to help multiple levels of poor choices, but in situations where there is no possible solution against the other side.
You will learn from that moment and know how to better handle that situation in the future, trust me.

Well mad grit and startstruck you can buy with shards, and those come with time, agitation Is from trapper, who I free, and iron grasp is an all around perk, you really don't have an excuse and just being stubborn
1 -
Iron Grasp is a generic perk and Agitation is from Trapper who everyone has by default.
Only Mad Grit and Starstruck would requiring purchasing a killer for and since both are not licensed can be done with iri shards.
2 -
So you probably had a survivor escape in endgame because 3 survivors bodyblocked the hook. At this point, you might as well just accept your loss 🤷♂️

Starstruck is better than mad grit for stopping the gremlins from blocking you
0 -
Iron grasp is a general perk, while agitation can be unlocked on trapper. Also you can get a lot of killers, and they are 9k shards....
If four survivors are alive in EGC you problably messed up, quite big. So maybe you are better running NOED with No way out.

Not necessary. Mad Grit at first guarantess some additional hits, while starstruck doesnt.

The whole point of body blocking is to help the carried survivor wiggle off. Also there are plenty of perk to counter this: Starstruck, Mad Grit, Iron Grasp, etc.

Have you ever watched Benjo? He might convince you otherwise… 😉

You know I do in those situations? Ensure a down and injure at least one other. If you can't do rest, then yeah, it is a YOU problem. If that's a common thing you run into at EGC, run NOED. Guarantee they didn't do totems at all. And don't give me the 'bad killers run NOED' excuse. Bad killers don't take advantage of bad survivors. Survivors know how to avoid NOED. Good survivors cleanse. Bad ones rush through gens and bank on 'honor' from a killer, then complain when a killer took advantage of their stupidity. Sorry if that offends any of you. But you're really mad at yourselves in that situation.

Use agitation, mad grit, iron grasp or startruck so you won't have problem. In my opinion the wiggle time is actually bit too long. I so many times end up wiggling 99% when the killer decides to carry me other side of the map some reason.

Iron grasp is universal perk and trapper is free and agitation is his perk so you can get them

Let them bleed out
Seriously, every time I see someone trying to abuse Boil Over I just let him bleed out
And against a bully sabo squad, it's painful but slug them
They are not doing gens
And don't follow the survivor's rulebook, if you are having a very sweaty match just tunnel and camp man.
By the time they do all the 5 gens at least you'll have 1 kill.

So you smacked 3 people, had the closest hook sabo'd and STILL managed to hook the person on your shoulder?
If anything, your post is an argument for wiggling to be faster or for hooks to be further apart because it sounds like you shouldn't have got this hook XD (Btw, I'm not saying this should happen. I'm just saying the argument presented here would be good supporting evidence for that idea)

Iron grasp. Mad grit. Agitation. Star Struck.
1 -
Mad grit is there for punishing them but starstruck is there to stop them trying to block in the first place
Benjo is goated for the backpack build

Lots of people in here seem a bit triggered because my opinion bothers them. It ain't changing, see you next time.

Run Starstruck more.
Or if it’s a on going thing then slug and camp.
Its a valid strategy to deny a killer hooks, but it’s equally valid to slug and watch them bleed to death.

I dunno; you’re the one who came to the forums to write an essay about a nonissue. See you tomorrow!

Just running Agitation is usually enough to outrun them to a hook. Pyramid head also has a perk that punishes body blockers by preventing healing for a while. I had a Pyramid Head game today where I noticed I was about to be swarmed so I dropped and caged the survivor. It makes games more exciting when they fight you. Sometimes they mess up!

I'd get Starstruck if you ever have the chance. It sends everyone running lol
