Does escaping via hatch still not increase mmr?

I don’t think they changed it, no.

They shouldn't change it.

I didn't know this, but good.

This hasn't been changed, it still does not affect MMR.

I didn't know this but it is a good idea otherwise you could play as P3 Claudie and hide all match until you get the hatch and increase your MMR lol... Which would obviously be absurd
1 -
And hook someone and place yourself under the hook is less absurd?

I'm not advocating camping, but at least you have to hook someone first, and then fend off rescue attempts.
As a surv, you can immerse the whole game, doing absolutely nothing, and still escape. You could rise to the top of MMR simply by riding the coattails of teammates and/or being a craven opportunist. No idea why anyone would want to play the game that way (ending up at high MMR with no actual skill progression), but people are funny creatures.

Exactly. Surprised this has to be broken down like this but thanks for doing so and yeah, people are weird that is for sure

Theoretically you could max out your survivor MMR that way but if you are genuinely doing nothing throughout the game your teammates aren't going to be winning 3v1s against experienced players using strong killers and meta builds while you crouchwalk through the shrubbery

It does count like a draw, right? No MMR gained, no MMR lose.
Same as a bleed out surv?

Hatch escapes SHOULDN'T change MMR. We don't call it the "pity door" for nothing; and that's exactly what it is. Just another second chance.

Hatch escape shouldnt increase mmr, survivor failed to perform, so its just a second chance to not lose completely

Is this applied in any given case i.e all 3 survivors escape by exit but one escape through hatch?

If hatches boosted MMR you could, which was the point. You could go full immersion, drop a hatch offering, wait for your teammates to die and probably escape most of the time. Leaving your teammates to die 3v1 versus good killers would probably speed up the process.

You can't raise your MMR by using the hatch, lol. Hatch doesn't give you MMR points.

What happens if you escape via the hatch when the teammates left by the gates?

Well, yeah, it was a hypothetical based on the conversation, thus the word "could", not "can". I was making a case for why it should stay the way it is.

Your mmr wont be raised.
But teammates usually leaving the very last second....
So only after hatch spawns
