Next Big License!
What next big license would you all like to see? Not video game licenses though because people that play video games already play this game! What Is a license you think from a show, movie, comic, anime, etc that you think would bring In newer people like how Stranger Things did? Buffy The Vampire Slayer or Supernatural I feel would be good ones! Movies like Alien and The Thing would be cool! Im not super Into anime or graphic novels but Death Note and The Stranger Things novels are cool!

Allow me to spread the good word of a Hellblazer paragraph with John Constantine as a survivor. It was in one of the previous surveys! I'm sure it's possible!
If we want to bring new players in, though, I think our best bets are FNaF or Alien. I have no feelings either way about the former, but the latter has a lot of potential from my perspective!

I think my actual favorite chapter ideas for this right now would be
- Supernatural. Winchesters as survivors, a Demon that can briefly possess survivors, the Bunker as the map.
- It. There's a pretty spiffy concept piece floating around of an It chapter with the sewer as the map and Pennywise able to create various zones using floating balloons.
- Medusa. A killer that is a classic Medusa which, when a survivor can see her, they suffer negative conditions. So the survivors would actively try and not look directly at her while running away or doing gens, etc, which I think would be kind of tense and fun. ๐
- Werewolf. A good old fashioned werewolf killer. They could have a Lunge attack similar to Demogorgon, an out-of-chase sprint burst, and if they hold the Lunge they could get a killer instinct ping on the closest survivor to them using their heightened predatory senses.
- The Observer as both a killer AND a survivor. Basically the theme would be the Observer accidentally has subconsciously created a killer version of himself, a creature of the id so to speak, and is determined to stop it somehow. You'd have a survivor version of the character and also a killer version, both with abilities that pertain to their intimate knowledge of the Entity and ability to sway reality to their own ends.

The Medusa mori could be turning that survivor to stone. Which in turn would be one of the funniest things ever ๐คฃ

That "killer and survivor are the same character" idea would also work super super well for a Hotline Miami chapter, which I'd personally be all for.

And I'm guessing Perseus could be the survivor in that chapter as well.

The only license even remotely big enough for an anniversary chapter would obviously be a vampire chapter with Morbius being the Killer. /s

Total tangent, but man I wish Sony would just sell back the Spiderman related character licenses to Marvel. They keep pumping out these movies with cool looking trailers that totally bomb. I was all set to maybe see Morbius and it got a 16% on Rotten Tomatoes at which point I just said "Nope!" ๐

Its a very clever concept actually. A reverse ghostface mechanism as in survivors must NOT look at Medusa to avoid filling up a mori bar. Definitely something cool that could be added.
Would like to see another creature added, Indoraptor or Alien would be my picks.

Jaws could unironically work, if BHVR would be insane enough to make a killer who works only on one map.
Jump Force had Dio the vampire in its roster and for lore accuracy, he is disabled for use on Daytime levels-using him always puts you to a night level
Imagine taking a Game offering thinking you're going to dunk on a killer but you end up at the beach anyways, that would be funny

John Carpenters The Thing; play as the shape-shifting alien or Macready as a survivor. The thing can disguise itself as other survivors, and fast travel under the ground. Mori : Devours the survivor and assimilates them.
Alien, Xenomorph killer that can wall/ceiling crawl and leap from walls and ceilings at survivors(is undetectable while wall-crawling). A few eggs spawn randomly around the map that allows you to take control of a hatching facehugger with a limited time to face hug a survivor (works like Victor). This gives the survivor a ticking clock before they get chestbursted so they have to find a medipod and have the alien embryo removed in time (kind of like pig traps). Mori: Headbites the survivor with inner jaws.
Cronenberg's The Fly; Play as the fully mutated Fly creature, with the ability to leap and stick to and from walls. Is able to throw up acid traps that hurt/slow survivors that step in it. Teleportation pods spawn randomly around the map that anyone can use to teleport to and from, but the machines have a cooldown on use. Survivors gain a random mutation stack each time they use the machine. Reaching max stack will mutate them into a gory mess. (special mori, and the killer is alerted to someone using it.) Killer gains a permanent stacking buff after teleporting if it carries a survivor into the pod with him and teleports. Mori: acid pukes the survivor's face off.
Mr. Slausen from Tourist Trap; Runs around in his creepy manakin mask stabbing people. Random manakins spawn around the map that he can activate(only a certain amount). If a survivor is near one of the activated manakins it will animate and attack them. Some manakins injury, others grab requiring a struggle to escape. Mori; suffocates the survivor after having their face covered in plaster.

Oh sweet Jesus I would love a chapter for The Thing so much two maps survivors and the The Thing would have so many scary forms itโd be great. From folklore Mothman would be great also something from the Middle East or India

If we're not allowed to choose video games, there are a few things that come to mind.
One of them is a Quiet Place, I actually wrote a chapter for it a while back: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/56157/a-quiet-place-dlc-chapter#latest if anyone's interested. It was one of the first chapter I ever wrote, so not my best work, but I still kinda like it. Also I'm just now realizing that Paternal Instinct eventually actually made it into the game in the form of Desperate Measures.

I swear I didnt come into this post intending to advertise my old chapters, it just so happens that the non-video game liscenses I want to see in the most (even though I know they never will due to the non-human monsters), I've already made chapters for.

I really like original chapters Kate Elodie Hag Trapper are some of my favorite og characters I wish they would do better on OG maps though they are so lame VHS has some of the coolest maps

They need to start bringing maps to every chapter again. There is no excuse anymore that realm beyond is wrapping up, better yet give some chapter 2 maps to a realm , the more maps the more the game feels different each trial.

Ohh God yes pls that would be so wild. I don't know to make the killer work but I think we are all firm on who would be the survivor and that this would be so awesome I would start playing survivor again

Eyrie. While not great is totally acceptable, I wouldn't mind seeing more maps to this realm.
RPD is a mess
I want an aquarium map. With green murky water and shadows of horrible underwater creatures sneaking about, plus we could get a new map jump scare by having a giant sea creature ramming against the glass(like the locker on midwich)

I want the Punisher as a killer. He only kills people who deserve it, so maybe he wouldn't fit in this game with so many kind and loving survivor players. But wouldn't it be cool to mow them down with an m16?

I can't imagine they will. Sony seem set on having their own mini MCU of sorts. If the next movie they release also bombs then maybe they'd sell. Not talking about Spiderverse 2 though. That's going to print money when it comes out in 2078 :)

The Xenomorph is also so superb in design, I really hope to see it coming to the game someday. honestly they could even use a random greek character that was just unfortunate enough to get tangled in the Entity's mess, or since they usually make characters from more recent times, they could use an archeologist or historian who is passionate about greek mythology that gets to live closer than he'd like to the stuff he/she studied so much

Friday the 13th: Jason as killer, Tommy jarvis as survivor and Crystal Lake as a map.
It: Pennywise as killer, Berverly as a survivor and the other losers as legendary skins, The Sewers as a map.
Candyman: candyman as killer obvs, Helen or Brianna from the new movie, I don't know if it would be right to use Carbini Green since it was a real place, If not, it could just come out without a map.
Supernatural: Sam and Dean as survivors
Fnaf: Springtrap as the killer, Michael or Vanessa as survivors, for the map it could be the location from the second game or a mix of the first 3.

For a License from a TV Series, definitely want to have Supernatural. Would love to have Sam and Dean as Survivors, with possibly "Yellow Eyes" or one of the other big 'villains' of the series as the Killer. There are quite a few to chose from.
From a movie, I would love Jurassic Park/Jurassic World. I don't know how it would be made to work...but I want a Raptor as a killer. Maybe the indoraptor? It'd be smart and viscous enough to be a killer. It would be my new main almost instantly.
For Anime/Manga...I don't really have many ideas, but for personal preference, I'd love to have Mirai Nikki(Future Diary) with Yuno Gasai as the killer. I could see her power revolving around an obsession. Either that or Elfen Lied with Lucy as a killer.
Comics, again, don;t have any ideas...but for personal preference...I'd like to see Hack/Slash with Cassie Hack as a survivor. Killer...Maybe The Lunch Lady?
Can't think of any others at the moment that is not from a game.
