Steam - Dead by Daylight Shows You as Playing in VR

Not gamebreaking at all and hardly has any impact whatsoever, but when you launch DBD on Steam now, you show up as playing Dead by Daylight in VR. My VR set is currently packed away and not connected to my PC at all.

    It would seem the developers accidentally enabled the SteamVR (or any of the XR) plugins in this update-build.

    I have my Headset connected, and every time I launch the game SteamVR launches, and I can't close it without also killing the game.

    I've tried using the "-nohmd" launch option to disable VR entirely, but it doesn't appear to have any effect.

    For me this is a gamebreaking bug.

    The latest update the devs lazily copy-pasted third party binaries. To stop the game from launching in VR right click on the game in steam > properties > local files > browse > Engine > Binaries > ThirdParty


    In that folder delete the folder called OpenXR and that will stop the game from trying to run in VR.
