i cant play the game anymore, i want a refund.
forced antialiasing literally ######### my fps up. i get around 25 if im lucky with constat drops and certain maps like rpd are UNPLAYABLE, which is ironic because i literally played resident evil 2 and 3 with no problems so i can't even imagine how badly optimized your game must be.
also im getting infinite loading screens and when i do get a game i can never reach after game lobby cause it just disconnects me after taking so long to load. now that last one was always an issue even in earlier patches.
game sucks on last gen consoles too despite having garbage 2010 graphics.
but you know what? at least one of your characters gets erections from men instead of women. that's really great. good for him.
fix your game or start giving refunds because:
1) the game has subpar perfomance both on consoles (last and new gen) and on pc's who meet minimum and recommended specs.
2) you do not advertise a laggy or stuttering product so it's literally false advertising.
3) tampering with the config files just to play the game properly was already unacceptable and now we dont have even that.
honestly embarassing. go free to play if you're gonna mismanage the game this badly. you're basically scamming people.
not that it's even worth it to go through all those issues to play the game, since it has 0 innovation, useless updates once every 2 months with maybe one perk change, no updates to the mechanics ever, and the balance is laughable.
i just want my money's worth though because you dont deserve it.

Sorry, but what does an erection have to do with Frame-rates? I fail to see the correlation, myself.
Regardless, your refund would depend upon where you brought the game from and thier own policies.
Try bringing it up with whoever sold you it and mention the frame rate and optimization issues. If you've had the game for a while, they will most likely choose not to refund you - but it's worth a shot anyway.

someone who doesnt want to get sued. i mean, people won in court against genshin impact for nerfing a character.
but realistically, they should just put nasa's computers as recommended specs so that no one is tricked into wasting money into a game that they can't even run properly. that to me is absurd.

I've seen a handful of folks reporting hitching and frame drops as a result of the latest patch - I was having some myself before I updated my graphics card drivers. Maybe head over to the bug report section and report on your specs, what areas/situations you're getting drops in, and how extreme / frequent they are?

i related to characters like yoichi and claudette because im in academia and in stem. i did not feel "unrepresented" because there's all kinds of diverse characters for everyone to relate to and who they want to have sex with is irrelevant and at most it's up to your imagination, if you really need to imagine that because you're some weirdo.
but me being represented is not based on my sexuality or not. i have a personality. and this is not a dating sim but a survival horror.
but anyway, this is off topic.

From what I've heard and feel myself, it's about representation...
I just don't see the point of bringing it up in a post about a technical issue (to use a light term - as it sounds like it's unplayable for you currently).
And I'd like better optimization too (mine still disconnects at random at least three times every month - on the lowest graphics setting) Though I am running under the recommended specs.
I know it won't help now, but I can go post the specs if anyone here wants me to?

If you truly could run games such as RE remake 3 with no issues (60 fps, native resolution), but have issues with DBD I very much think it's a problem with your rig.
Honestly I run DBD with everything max, at 1080 solid 60 and rarely hit 4 gigs total memory load and 40% total memory bandwidth, cpu barely even notices it, staying at 30% usage, but RE 3 was really taxing, I had to make compromises with settings to achieve average 60 fps.
You should try running a metrics overlay to check if you truly have fps drops paired with usage spikes, or if you're just having stuttering, or if you are experiencing latency spikes.
Pair this with hwinfo to detect memory errors.
Also keep an eye on disk usage. Could be a streaming problem. I fixed a friend's pc with a problem like this and it was really sneaky. Didn't go away until I changed a faulty Sata bus.
While anti aliasing can certainly look awful if badly implemented, it rarely has a dramatic impact on performance unless they are using some type of crazy supersampling derivative, which DB D is not.

lol my daughter plays this on a ryzen 3 with a 1060 3gb with 8 gigs of ram this game literally takes nothing to run. I put her pc together for about 100 dollars if you cant spend 100 on a pc to play a game then i suggest not playing games.

I run the game on a phenom II x4 955 with a 1050ti, and up till the last chapter, i didnt have problems. Now i have.
@Topic: I doubt they refund you. I was originally playing on a plattform the game was advertised for, and then they just cut the support of the game for a system they sold it to. They told me it wasn´t supported anymore, even though it was still listed on the steam shop under supported systems. Of course they corrected the shop entry, so they dont have to support the system they sold the game to.

David's sexuality isn't a key part of gameplay and I know people are mad BHVR focused on that while the game is still in need of balancing and bug fixes, but I don't think they devoted like all of their teams to David's sexual/romantic preferences lol. If they had designed a whole coming out party or background to the loading screen with all of these issues still present I'd understand, but the lore and gameplay are two strictly different things. David's gay, Meg's my wife, and the game will always be messy until BHVR gets around to fixing basic game issues.
