Sadako desperately needs some buffs.
I was quite disappointed when I read the latest patchnotes just to realize that Sadako had been neglected entirely. Currently she's the weakest licensed killer in the game, being an inferior copy of Wraith and Freddy in terms of gameplay.
Here are the issues which need to be addressed:
1) Get rid of global sound cues, survivors shouldn't be notified of her stealth usage at all. This was the first thing you actually got rid of when you buffed Ghostface, now do it for Sadako.
2) Remove the lullaby or at least drastically reduce her visibility while she's demanifested, too many survivors rush off before you can even get in your first hit. This completely invalidates her intended playstyle as a hit and run killer.
3) Consider this one an alternative to number 2. If you don't want to improve her stealth, give her a speedboost after decloaking to catch up to survivors. She doesn't have a speedboost while cloaked so this is the least you can do to make up for this.
4) Drastically increase the amount of condemnation survivors gain from various actions, turn the ability into a base-kit Rancor which enables her to instadown fully condemned targets. Right now her passive is an absolute joke.
5) Reduce the cooldown timer on her televisions, 100 seconds are far too much. Make it a minute instead.
I'd be happy to hear from others on how to properly fix this weak killer.

Pig would like to have a call with you...
But yes, she is weak, needs buff.

Pig at least can get kills by going afk in front one of her boxes, I wish Sadako had it as easy as her.

Sadako really needs some love, piggy too.

A few of her add-ons need to be basekit imo. Old newspaper + bloody fingernails would be a good start. That would give her at least a modicum of anti-loop which she desperately needs.
And yeah no lullaby. She is nowhere near strong enough to justify having a lullaby imo.
Increased time to put a tape in a TV too. Maybe a second or so. You should not be able to get condemned and then literally put the tape into the TV in Sadako's face between attacks lmao.
I do hope they buff her because she is arguably one of the spookiest killers, which DBD could use more of.

1) pick the best very rare addon you must have
2) you have to be lucky, you might get 0 kills as well
I rather judge killers with not their best loadout because you can't run these offten unless you main that killer.

Every time a new killer is released, there's people who want them buffed.
Ask yourself these things first:
- How much have I played this killer?
- Is there anything about my play style I can improve?
- Would practicing more make me better?
- Does this killer's abilities "click" with me?
Like, all I'm saying is that I'd like to see people give killers more time before requesting buffs. When something is entirely new, it's going to be more difficult for a while when playing against people who's been using the same stuff for years (because survivor basic playstyle stays the same so they have already perfected how they play it).

Just FYI they aren’t neglecting Sadako, their normal process with new killers is review them over about three or four months and then have a full balance pass. We’ll probably see a Sadako balance pass next patch or the patch after that.

This killer has been out since 3 months now, I've played her many times since then and even grinded her to prestige 3 level 50. She stands no chance against experienced players who actually have map awareness or a decent pair of headphones. She objectively needs buffs, her handicaps are far too numerous.

Imo the things that she really needs are CoH being wiped off the table, the removal of her lullaby, the tv-warp sound cue to be non-directional, and the tv’s not to have such a massive cooldown.
She can already ping-pong across the map like no other, so I don’t think she needs much more than that, and most of those are QoL changes.

At least pig has slowdown that somewhat works, and a chase power weak or not.
Sadako has teleport. that's it.

Still, wanted to ask. I've seen some Sadako players use her abilities in really clever ways. From my experience, she's at her strongest when playing in a devious way and putting pressure in multiple places at once. Have seen some skilled players predict where the chase is leading towards and teleported ahead to make the survivor run into them.
Like.. Another thing to remember is that due to killers having different abilities, everyone will have a certain killer they're better at. Trickster is a good example of a killer that had so many complaints about how much he sucked, and got buffed twice. Yet, he's extremely strong in the hands of someone with good aim, who is used to playing shooter games.
I feel like more often than not, killers get buffed to be good for an average player, which tends to turn them OP in the hands of a good player. They should balance a killer to be good for someone who those particular abilities just "click" for. That's why there's so many killers, there's something for everyone.

The more I play Sadako, the more I honestly prefer Pig.

i was pretty hyped abt sadako and decided to buy. honestly never felt as powerless. Teleporting feels pretty nice though.
unless i ran iri tape, it was a very meh experience.

Sadako is not as bad as people make her out to be.
You have to realize which platform you are hearing feedback from. These forums are not reliable, especially because many people will call for buffs without keeping in mind the killer’s strength and how much if you buff one thing something else becomes overbuffed.
Many just want her lullaby gone because they do not want the survivor to have any indication that she is around, so what this tells me is that they want a free hit, since we all know that the lullaby doesn’t necessarily give away her exact location… just that she is “around”.
She can literally gain so much pressure just from her teleport alone. Something that no regular M1 killer has.

Made her can hit survivor by hair , like nemesis's tentacle.
Hair is her's power in movie.
3 -
Survivors repairing while holding tapes should double their Condemnation gain.
Right now, survivors can deny Onryo her power and safely sit on gens for 60 out of the 80 seconds they need to repair it before the TV turns back on.
3 -
No amount of skill is going to reduce the 100 second cooldown to her "amazing pressure" (without addons).

theres been 3 or so of the same 'meta killers' for like the past 2 decades its boring playing against blight, nurse, blight, and sometimes an oni or plague. some more variety would be nice

There are times when you can easily tell that a killer has severe deficiencies. Not to mention this isn't a novel suggestion as those of us who played her in beta also said then she needed buffs which she did get to a degree. The issue is addressing balance concerns in beta doesn't always survive launch into the live game environment. The buffs she got weren't really enough and she's so add-on and map dependent unless you're just pushing tons of bp into her all the time you're going to spend a lot of games just struggling.
Her power isn't particularly good in its current state because it has a lot of limitations and while individual player skill can potentially help mitigate it to a small degree, you're not in full control of your power. Between using the tvs offensively and survivors pulling tapes you can easily be locked out of teleporting for a substantial length of time. Condemned isn't threatening in a way that forces survivors to make strategic decisions as holding a tape doesn't limit their ability to do anything else. Clearing condemned also is too small a time investment for survivor to the point they can clear it mid chase.
It's a lot of issues that compound of each other that need addressing at the backend mechanical level rather than at the player level.

She's literally unplayable against survivors with thousands of hours of experience. Throughout this game I only managed to get 2 hooks before the final gen popped. My slowdown via Sloppy Butcher and Tinkerer/Call of Brine didn't make a difference.
They all had extremely sweaty builds which made it pretty much impossible to hook them, the nonstop flashlight harassment was unbearable as well. Sadako is in immediate need of drastic buffs.
