Okay Survivors...How The Hell Do You Do That?
I'm a longtime 'pure' killer main who only recently started seriously trying to learn survivor, 700 odd hours in.
Now, about 60 hours into survivor, I'm starting to get a good feel for loops, spawns, vaults and the like - but there's one trick I just don't understand.
I think people call it 'spinning' - just as I'm about to hit someone, they drop out of sight and run in a circle, often getting me to miss. But when I try this, I just get stunk.
Is there some trick I'm missing?

I usually just double back towards the killer when they get close-ish, violently rotate my joystick, and hope for the best outcome. Cranking up your sensitivity will help too, though I wouldn't suggest going max right away, rather working up towards moving that fast.

What platform are you playing on? Controller versus keyboard will likely get different answers. ❤️

I haven't quite gotten the hang of it, but you have to intuit a certain distance between you and the killer. Too late and you won't be able to spin out of the way, too early and they'll just stop to track you.
For PC, I switch from W to AS or S to AW while jerking my mouse/camera to the side. (Not because that direction is superior, just because the way my keyboard is lined up, the D is farther from the W and it's easier to swipe a circle between those three keys.) Console, I dunno. But spinning seems more effective against console killers than PC killers because the capped controller sensitivity makes the pivot harder to keep up with. If you can tell the killer is on PC, there isn't much point in spinning unless they seem really easily confused.

PC.
Thanks! Yeah, I'll try that.

turn your camera to the point where you're staring at your own fcharacter and havethe killer behind you. You'll have to get a feel for timing, but once its right, hooke a left and continue the circle while the killer reloads and has to find you again. very useful against sadako

This is going to sound silly, and it is... Buts I suck at spins and this is the only way Ive mastered it.
Zig one way, then the other, maybe a quick crouch (fat thumb syndrome) attempt full spin, run at them but the most important thing is scream like a banshee while executing. It works for me lol
If you can't dazzle them with your brilliance, baffle them with your bulls**t.

That's called 360.
There are video tutorials in youtube.
Anyway, it isn't a reliable tech, it doesn't work 80% of the times against decent killers.

You can only spin a lunge attack, if you are close enough for a base M1 you need to do more of a zigzag.

Spin character left, turn camera right. Viola.

Alot is down to sensitivity, this is why it's much harder for a controller player to hit spins as usually people dont have a high sensitivity

I violently move my mouse in a vague circle shape and hope for the best, sometimes it works, most times it doesn’t

This is what I attempt as well, I just call it a butt-wiggle.

There is no trick. I'm pretty sure it's completely luck based and won't ever work on a good killer
