Is there a reason for no singleplayer-botmode? ?
I have seen it very often in suggestion and I would very much apriciate it myself, even if it would just be single-player costumgame, but was there ever an actual reasons with an actual reason why the devs aren't doing it?

The current explanation iirc is that while they don't dislike the idea, it'd take a lot more work than people think- every killer bot would have to know how to use every killer power and the survivor bots would have to know how to play around every killer power, on top of potentially using perks and items if that's something present in the match.
So, it's a huge amount of work upfront and more work every time they add new killers. Maybe they'll do it sometime, they seem to be working on their bots in general, but that was their explanation in the last QnA based on my hazy recollection lol.

Some people would, it'd be good practice.
Besides, the survivor bots would still need to know how to play against every killer power. That's just as much work, if not moreso.

No extra incentive, therefore no priority. Also it would lower the playerbase online.
They would have a lot of other stuff to do first.

The AI is the problem; we have zombie AI that get stuck on objects all game because they can’t path correctly, and also the cheaters who when they put the killer AI on the highest setting could perfectly predict survivor movements making it feel unfair, though they also got stuck on objects etc.

Wouldn't it be possible to do the same thing that forza is doing and just program "survatars" and "killvatars" ? (get it, because drivatars but for survs and killers?)

Why not just make costum games, where you can only play with stuff you acquired normally and in which you can't progress? Basicly how star wars battlefront 2 works but without every Stargard (perk) at your disposal.

There are these bots that were taken from dbd mobile by hackers and sent into dbd on pc in live matches.
Not only are there killer bots, hackers have also taken survivor bots and upgraded them so that the surv bots can deal with the various killers. If hackers can, why can't BHVR?
Not in live matches of course, but as a custom mode to practice.
Or just let us access custom game without the need of another person.

Yes there is one reason. And it is very simple They don't want anyone who likes playing games by themselves to play DBD. Sucks for them though, because that's a HUGE AMOUNT of people.

well .... gameplay isn´t really fun without perks and for the grind you still had to play live online mode. There shouldn´t be a possibility to earn bloodpoints during the custom mode. Most complain that when they for example try a new killer they hate being thrown in the deep end (because mmr doesn't work as it should) and prefer to get acquainted with the killer and its power in a practice mode first. To be honest, I've hardly ever seen anyone who wants to play custom mode all the time and never live again. Most just want an opportunity to practice. Such a mode would also be helpful for insecure survivors to learn how to counter the killer power or to learn and understand the maps and loops better.

iirc they said programing the bots would be the issue with how different each killer are.
Tbh i believe them, rainbow six siege bots cheat while also act dumb and League of legends bots are usually incompetent.

I can't remember my source, unfortunately, but I remember hearing that it's probably getting added with the twins QoL.
it's on the list of future changes, unless I'm super misremembering.
