The Wretch

Real Name: James “Gunner” McKenzie

Main Weapon: Kylie

Base Movement Speed: 4.6 metres per second

Base Terror Radius: 32 metres

Height: Average

Power: Cursed Kylie

The Wretch can throw a throwing stick that is extremely heavy at a Survivor, which will seek them out. Hitting a Survivor with this will not down or injure them, but it will inflict them with a unique status effect called Crippled for 30 seconds, forcing them to never take rushed actions when prompted to do so.

While aiming the kylie, you are completely stationary and can only look around. Simply aiming removes Bloodlust. The distance is technically infinite as long as you have line of sight. After successfully hitting a Survivor with this, it will return to your palm with blood on it, otherwise it’ll be returned and immediately stowed.

Your regular kylie can be thrown while the Cursed Kylie is on cooldown, but it only goes as far as your lunge attack without moving you forward. The Cursed Kylie has a 60 second cooldown.

Hitting a Survivor outside of your Terror Radius triggers Killer Instinct on their whereabouts for 8 seconds.

The Cursed Kylie has a natural Maximum Flight Time of 10 seconds, and a Fly Speed of 110%, which is equivalent to 4.4 metres per second. The Cursed Kylie has a total of 0 bounces, which can be increased with add-ons. If the Cursed Kylie hits any obstacles with 0 bounces, it will automatically return without completing its Flight Time.

It takes roughly 1.5 seconds to throw, but can be held indefinitely beforehand. Once thrown, it will follow the Survivor it has targeted, but it shifts very slowly from side to side, so Survivors can dodge it if they hear it coming for them. While flying, the Cursed Kylie emits a high-pitched whistle that can be heard within 5 metres.

The Cursed Kylie technically has infinite distance that it can travel, thus it has infinite distance where it can target, but it is severely limited by the speed and timers, thus it will travel after the Survivor closest to the centre of your screen and to you, but it may not be able to reach them before it must return.

Perks: Kick Up the Dirt, Flimsy Windows, Grave Mist

Kick Up the Dirt] You’ve learned that sometimes it pays to play dirty.

While in an active chase, press the Active Ability button to consume Bloodlust and kick dirt in the direction you are facing. If the dirt hits any Survivor, that Survivor is afflicted with a 20/25/30% Hindered status effect for 3 seconds. After kicking dirt, Kick Up the Dirt goes on a 30 second cooldown. While kicking, your speed is reduced by 70%.

Flimsy Windows] The Entity has taken a liking to you and allows you to destroy at least a few of the windows that many of your prey use.

At the start of the trial, 3/6/9 windows are converted into breakables. They can be broken at any point in the trial with the Active Ability button, but reward 50% destruction points. Any rushed vaults through one will break the window and award Deviousness points. Bringing this perk guarantees at least 9 Windows will spawn.

Scourge Hook : Grave Mist] Hiding within the shadows of death has become natural to you.

At the start of the trial, 4 random Hooks are converted into Scourge Hooks. After hooking a Survivor on a Scourge Hook, you are granted the Undetectable status effect for 10/15/20 seconds.

Add-ons: Iridescent, Very Rare, Rare, Uncommon, Common

Iridescent: Mother Doll, Iridescent Bottle

Mother Doll] A hand-stitched doll that is holding a child in its arms.

Survivors that are Crippled are inflicted with the Exposed status effect until they are no longer Crippled. Crippled status effect lasts 15 seconds longer.

Iridescent Bottle] A water bottle made out of the Fog itself, and serves as a constant reminder that Gunner hasn’t seen water in a long time, and probably won’t see it again.

Flight Time is no longer capped. The Cursed Kylie caps its maximum Bounces at 1, regardless of other add-ons. Gain 1 Bounce.

Very Rare: Steel Rod, Bundled Wheat, Empty Flask, Carver’s Knife

Steel Rod] A heavy rod that can be hammered into a kylie to make it a bit heavier.

Hitting an Injured Survivor inflicts the Deep Wound status effect.

Bundled Wheat] A bundle of wheat from the farm that Gunner initially tended to before escaping to the Outback.

Hitting a Healthy Survivor puts them into the Injured state.

Empty Flask] Once filled with the sweet whiskey that Gunner loved, it now only smells of the alcohol he sorely misses.

Flight Time is increased by 10 seconds. Throw time is increased by 0.75 seconds.

Carver’s Knife] Designed to carve and cut, it once belonged to Gunner’s ancestors

Fly Speed is increased by 40%.

Rare: Accuracy for Dummies, Buloke Log, Paints, Blood of an Emu, Thermite Pops

Accuracy for Dummies] A little book that insults you and instructs you how to aim.

Hitting a Survivor inflicts the Exhausted status effect for 10 seconds.

Buloke Log] A log from Gunner’s homeland that is very hard, and makes for wonderful kylie carving.

Hitting a Survivor inflicts the Haemorrhage status effect for 10 seconds.

Paints] Some red, blue, or green? Paint whatever you wish to ensure you’re accurate.

Crippled status effect lasts 4.5 seconds longer.

Blood of an Emu] Blood from the very emu the Entity destroyed to get Gunner’s attention placed into a vial.

Gain 3 Bounces.

Thermite Pops] Little celebratory fire pops that pack a much bigger punch than usual.

After hitting a surface with 0 Bounces left, the Cursed Kylie pops, inflicting Haemorrhage to any Injured Survivors within 10 metres of the impact site for 15 seconds. The Cursed Kylie has an additional 10 seconds to its cooldown timer.

Uncommon: Whittler’s Knife, Small Blueprint, Rough Grip, Waterskin, Emu’s Beak

Whittler's Knife] A blade used by children to whittle wood into particular shapes.

Fly Speed is increased by 15%.

Small Blueprint] A blueprint with instructions on weight reduction at the cost of fragility.

Flight Time is increased by 3 seconds. Throw time is increased by 0.25 seconds.

Rough Grip] A simple grip that allows for easier handling of anything.

Throw time is decreased by 0.5 seconds.

Waterskin] A small pouch for holding water, which actually does contain a few drops.

Increases aiming movement speed to 10% from 0%.

Emu’s Beak] A beak from a winged devil. Their bloodlust was incurable.

Hitting any Survivor puts Killer Instinct on them for 5 seconds. Replaces natural 8 second Killer Instinct outside of Terror Radius.

Common: Emu’s Left Eye, Wood Polisher, Emu’s Right Eye, Rubber Tips

Emu’s Left Eye] The eye of one of those grimey birds… dried like a snack.

The Cursed Kylie has an indicator for where it will land while aiming. The indicator locks on to the Survivor targeted if there is one to target.

Wood Polisher] Some wood polisher to treat a kylie, directly from Gunner’s worktable.

The Cursed Kylie gives off no whistle while it flies through the air.

Emu’s Right Eye] An eye belonging to an evil little bird.

While aiming the Cursed Kylie, your FOV is decreased by 10°. Grants +150 Bloodpoints extra for hitting a Survivor with the Cursed Kylie.

Rubber Tips] A couple little rubber caps that Gunner made to see if he could bounce a kylie off of walls.

Gain 1 Bounce.

Lore Story] (Nicknamed Wretched Lives)

A single night became the best and worst thing for James “Gunner” McKenzie as he shared a night in bed with an Italian woman by the name of Amelia Damore. With no wife to catch him in the act, he was home-free to be with her in whatever way he pleased, and surely there were no consequences to come of being with her and skipping off to be a farmer way out on the coast of Australia. Surely.

Whilst on his new farm, and admiring the sea waves crashing far enough away to not harm the crops, his little telephone began to chime from within his house. Upon picking it up, believing it to be one of his customers, he heard shouting about how idiotic it was to hook up with him. Amelia had fallen pregnant. Consequences.

On May 23rd of the year 1931, Gunner and Amelia had their little daughter. Gunner already blamed the child for chaining him to a one-night fling, so he named her Lilith Damore, a name describing her as The Suffering. Amelia had begged and begged for him to marry her, but he remained firmly in place, wanting nothing to do with them, but knowing he should at least take care of them so they aren’t dead within a week. Each day, he cursed at the little baby.

As if by bad omen, the emu began to swarm his farm. They shattered the fences, broke many of his tools, and wore down his crops with a ferocity he had never seen. His first blame was on the baby, calling her a curse on his life.

One night, he made a plan to escape the misfortune of the child and her mother, though it would prove to be stupid shortly after his vanishing. He faked his death to one of the emu, and ran through the Outback sprawling within the centre of the continent. He still hated the emu, but they had provided him with a simple way to escape such a treacherous life.

However, that alliance would soon fall apart, and he would construct little kylies with what wood he could. The kylies quickly became his only way to find food, though he never found water to balance his diet. Each little animal that fell and bled fed him in more ways than one. Their pooling blood after each kill was a fantastic sight.

Many of the emu also fell to his kylies, though they rarely came to where he had begun to set up a little town of his own, even if he was the only resident.

Unfortunately, his peaceful life wouldn’t last, and several of those monstrous birds would come flapping back through the desert, right over his new hunting grounds. His vision turned red, and he quickly set up traps throughout the shacks he had, and clutched several kylies to his chest. When those big birds came running through, barely any made it out thanks to their scattering tactics.

Gunner’s feet scraped along the dust as he went out to look for the kylies he had thrown. Very few were intact. He still picked them up and cut himself with their splinters while dragging in one of the carcasses.

While carving through one, he noticed little, black spider legs skittering off with one of the corpses. Because of his lack of hydration, he paid it no mind and believed he was imagining something in place of a creature who had seen the bodies and was hoping for an easy meal.

However, the corpse before him suddenly exploded all over him and his walls, coating the area in a thick red. A growl came out of him, for he had lost his humanity long ago, and was becoming more like the animals he hunted. Those same spider legs sprout up from the table where he had been carving out meat to eat, so he chucked whatever kylies he could at them, wanting to injure this strange creature so it would let him eat in peace.

The legs quickly vanished when he tossed a fun kylie he’d made with thermite pops to explode it on contact, causing the splinters to spray into his face and arms, burning a new kind of pain into him. He simply huffed at this pain. It was nothing.

Those legs would return, as the emu had when he had run from them the first time, so he decided to cloak himself in darkness. He stared at the table for the entire night, and paid little attention to the black fog filling the bottom of his room. The table was where he was expecting the creature.

Black fog continued to fill the room like water, and each second within it had begun to clear his mind. Those spider legs shot up once again, and he kicked the dirt beneath his feet at them, hoping it would stop them from leaving. It didn’t, but he believed it had as the legs didn’t go away. They stayed upright and began to flick back and forth, almost taunting him into making a mistake, but all it did was make him chuckle.

“Evil birdssss…” the spider seemed to whisper. It was calling to him. “I have my own…” it whispered again. Blood. It was promising him more blood to satisfy the other hunger within him. Who was he to say no?

-----

Amelia had had enough of Gunner and his horrible ways. The instant she believed him dead, she knew she was free to run away. She ran back to her homeland, and raised her daughter far away from where the little one had seen her father be torn apart by big birds.

Lilith was raised to be far more proper than she wanted to be. Each year, she was evaluated on how well she behaved, and when she failed, her mother would lock her in a rather stale room. One filled with little scratches from each time Lilith spent her days within its walls.

Eventually, Lilith had invented her own language to talk with her past and future selves, hoping they could find a way to stop doing what her mother didn’t want her to. Seeing the scratches always told her that she hadn’t tried hard enough. Mother was never pleased. “Nor would father be…” she mumbled whenever she read the scratches.

Amelia had hated seeing her daughter fail so much at trying to be a woman, so by her twelfth year, she offered the young girl a few sticks someone had told her would calm down hyper children. She believed the cherry scent could focus Lilith’s mind and make her capable. When handing them to her, Lilith quickly sped off to light them and study, making her mother smile at how helpful it might be.

Happily, it proved to be precisely what the girl needed, so Amelia kept educating with that room fading each year within her mind. By her eighteenth, Lilith was doing so splendidly that her mother let her go. She was now free to roam Italy and the world as she saw fit, and hopefully with less of an issue than women had before.

Lilith set off to adventure through the towns, making quick friends with many of the men and women she came across. Her heart seemed to flutter that little bit more when the women were delighted with her, though she quickly ran off when that flutter turned into skips and strange thoughts that she wasn’t sure she should have. Men still made her heart dance from time to time, so she wasn’t sure how the thoughts were even there.

A few more years passed, and she had grown accustomed to the stares and thoughts that made her body shiver in delight. She loved attention from both sides of the coin and even began to flirt with them to see which she’d like better in the moment. Her bed even shared itself with each side, the way her father might have if he was to be alive, which she doubted.

Unfortunately, her mother learned of these thoughts and nights with women, and she couldn’t be more disgusted with her daughter. She was brought right back to the room she knew too well, and was beaten, scratched, and starved.

Lilith curled in a corner, sobbing about what she could possibly have done. Her mother would only respond each time with, “You are an awful woman.” The same words her mother had slung her way when she was little. The sticks were burnt and tossed into the room on occasion, making her stomach churn, and for her to beg her mother to at least feed her alongside the water.

Amelia eventually gave in, and shuffled away to bring a loaf of bread to her starving child, hoping the time she had spent like so would have rattled sense into her. However, when she returned, she found black fog pouring out of the room, which instantly evaporated. Lilith was gone, and seemingly as though she were a demon called back to hell.

Map - Harshed Hunting Grounds, Forsaken Boneyard

Killer Shack]

Placed in the South, this Killer Shack is identical to the basic one, not like the one over in the Eyrie due to it being for Gunner and not Carmina.

Main Building]

The main building is a series of tied together shacks designed to cause confusion among intruders. The Wretch knows where all of the traps are as it is his home, and unfortunately, he has no more traps left, so now he must hunt on his own grounds.

Surrounding Area]

The rest of the area is a dry, drab desert with little nooks, similar to the Eyrie that came with the Artist. There is hardly any room for life, and the crows only live because the Artist desires them to do so.

Size]

164 square tiles. 10,496 metres squared.

Offering]

Crow’s Eye

Increases the odds of going to the Forsaken Boneyard realm by 9.999%.

Survivor - Lilith Damore

(The Suffering Love Child)

Perks: Suppressed Trauma, Tortured Soul, Calming Incense

Suppressed Trauma] Just add this to the list of things you’ll never fully recover from. It’s fine. Everything’s fine.

Successfully unhooking yourself gives you the Endurance and Broken status effects for 18 seconds. You have an additional 15/20/25% chance to unhook yourself. Being hit while Endurance is active will give you the Deep Wound status effect for 20 seconds.

Tortured Soul] Life has always been a game you knew you’d never win.

After performing 4/3/2 safe un-hooks on other Survivors, Tortured Soul activates. While Tortured Soul is active, your next hook stage change is ignored, disabling Tortured Soul after this occurs for the remainder of the trial.

Boon : Calming Incense] Smells oddly like those cherry sticks Mother bought.

Press and hold the Active Ability button near a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon Totem.

Soft chimes ring out within a radius of 24 metres. All Survivors have their Grunts of Pain suppressed by 70/80/90% and will not Scream when within this range.

Bonus Notes & Additional Changes]

A couple add-ons are indeed memes, so don’t read into them too much. The lock-on indicator add-on might be a bit OP, but it is primarily for beginners as he might become a very difficult Killer to use.

When The Wretch is stunned or blinded, he shouts, “Oi, ya c u n t!” (spaced so censors don't stop it)

When The Wretch finds any female characters in a Locker, he should mumble, “Young monster.” which implies that he still thinks his daughter, and anyone that could be her age, to be a hindrance to him.

Lilith Damore and James “Gunner” McKenzie may be related, but they have no clue that they are, so he is treating her the same as other Survivors, and she believes him to simply be a Killer that the Entity is pitting against her like any of the others.

Any perks that interact with Windows will still work on the Flimsy Windows created by the perk of the same name, which is: Lithe, Dance w/ Me, Quick & Quiet, Resilience + Spine Chill, Bamboozle, Claustrophobia, Fire Up, Windows of Opportunity, I’m All Ears, and Zanshin Tactics. Hex : Crowd Control is excluded because it activates off of a rushed vault, which destroys any Flimsy Window automatically.

Suppressed Trauma gives itself away since it has the Broken status effect for the same duration as Endurance. This is useful information to the Killer, but impatience can be a powerful tool, and you can’t always rely on it if someone runs it with Vigil.

Being hooked with Tortured Soul active does ignore the hook stage change, but only reveals so when the Survivor is supposed to enter the 2nd stage or when they are unhooked beforehand. The Killer will not be notified if the Survivor is unhooked since nothing changes when they are. Unless you have already been hooked once, in which case it will reveal itself instantly by not sacrificing you or by setting you into 1st stage again depending on which is supposed to occur.

Calming Incense does not stack with other Grunts of Pain suppressing perks. They all behave similarly to Haste perks, which adopt the higher percentage until its duration is over, then revert to the lower one if it still has time left.

Honestly, I thought this Killer and Survivor would elicit some sort of backlash or at least a response asking for clarification, even with the bonus notes.
