Never saw a Blight do a straight 90 angle turn before today.
Earlier I was in a chase and it was clear to me the Blight would miss me.
But then I saw him do a straight 90° turn mid-burst and kept rushing for four meters to hit me. I didn't know it was possible.
He had no addons for that either. (Blighted Rat + 21)

Possibly lagflicking. People found a new way to do it after the old one was patched. The only way to hard 90 flick normally is either with Adrenaline Vial or during an attack.

Well, if the Blight continues four meters after pressing the attack button, it was that. Else ... cheating?

He can change his look angle very sharply, but his heading will take a while to catch up.
If you mean he instantly changed his actual movement direction by 90 degrees and you're positive he didn't lunge, then it's very likely latency or desync. I've seen a few Onis do the same in the past and they had in common they were all laggy.
Of course, hacks are a possibility. But it's dbd, the game so well coded that it's impossible to tell apart features from bugs and cheats.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Of course with latency I may not see the real start of his attack, but the range was out there.
There are some issues since the last patch. Sometimes I see myself going from the hook to the ground without any intermediary animation. And yesterday some of my games felt sluggish, like if I was swimming in molasses.
I'm mostly curious to know if it's a normal tech I've yet to master with Blight. I've not recorded the game so even if it was a cheat, I couldn't do much about it.

Did the blight user happen to have an Adam in the username ? If it is he is just a crazy good blight I have faced him several times .

I don't understand "mid burst" like mid lunge? or mid sprint? If it's during the start of the lunge it completely changes his direction. Also depending on the object and its length allows him to slide along it long enough to get a 90 degree turn.

Give up and just wish for an adrenaline vial nerf, maybe then we'll know who's the professional blight mains and the juiced wannabes.

No object, as in, there were no objects around? Or as in, he didn't bounce on an object?
What Brimp meant was that Blight can slide along an object without bumping on it. If, while sliding along an object, they turn into it, it can look as if they suddenly changed direction when they pass the object.
Look up Hug Tech, if you want to know more. I am currently learning to use that better as Blight. Btw, to a fault, it is also possible for Demo and Hillbilly to slide along some objects with their power. Ms Piggy can also look away from her move direction when dashing along an object.

Can be dsycn/lag i ran through a surv i had hit and he ended up behind me by quite a bit.

Maybe it was a slide with some lag. There was a rock but it was before the turn.
