Controller players, was the boil over nerf enough?
So I play with mouse and keyboard, but I’ve been told by several others that boil over’s increased stagger was a significant problem for killers using a controller. For those of you who use a controller, was the recent nerf from 100% to 80% enough to make it more manageable, or is it still an issue?

It's fine now

It was fine before.

For me, it's mostly fine now. It was only very frustrating with the auto 30% from drops, now that you have to recover an amount it's not so bad, but I think it's still annoying for hiding hooks on certain maps with huge gaps.not too proud to admit that's cost me a hook or two in itself, and I consider it just barely outside of meta as much as I see it

I can deal with it but sometimes I feel like I'm being carried by survivor and not vice versa lmao.

I still hate it. I never cared about the increased wiggle power or even the drop damage, it was the inability to walk to any hook without getting caught on every single thing and consistently getting caught so bad on random crap that I couldn't go anywhere.
Unless something has changed with this patch, that's still a huge problem with Boil Over on the controller. BHVR seems deadset on changing everything about Boil Over EXCEPT for the one part that irks me so much about it.

This. You can’t strafe without losing forward momentum on controller, as when you are using left or right on the stick it doesn’t count you holding forwards all the way and you get a slower forward movement speed.
It’s really noticeable around loops as well and you can’t keep your view on the survivor and move diagonally around it; you have to hold forward and guess where the corner of the obstacle is to then turn using the right stick at the last second.
I honestly don’t know what the point of having less than 100% movement is; who is ever intentionally using slow walking instead of full speed?
Console is in desperate need of some love in both QoL and performance/optimisation and has been for a long time, yet they've been seriously neglected.

Didn't have problems with it on outdoor Maps, but it was painful on indoor Maps, and it's still pretty painful, but no one uses it anymore

Ive always played on console and it wasn't too much for me, and it just something I had to learn to counter, that isn't bad for the game.

I agree, it’s not well-designed and promotes boring gameplay. Either annoying in swfs or certain locations, or it barely does anything.
Console definitely needs some more love, that’s for sure.

Was fine before.
Only the abusing part in the first change needed the change. I dont get why people say it's hard on controller personally
