We've been begging for years, it's got to happen at some point.
I know Tony Todd is onboard, but I think it's MGM/Amazon they need to deal with.

@Seraphor I had no idea Tony Todd was in to it. There's no reason Pinhead should be the only smack talking villain. Candyman's lines would be epic. "Be my victim."

@Mooks He's got a voice acting credit in the upcoming Sony Spider-man 2 set for 2023. Possible as Venom but that's up for debate. He did a voice for a character in DOTA but can't find anything more on it.
@NerfedFreddy You can't really denegrate something that doesn't exist. The character is Schrodingers, both awesome and sucky, because this is just a thought experiment.
I personally wouldn't use any other killer, if he were in it. And it has to be Tony Todd not that Abdul imposter from the 2021 film. But gameplay wise, there could be some interesting mechanics. His add-ons would be an easy pick (sweets, mirrors, paintings and brushes etc.) The bees could impair survivors, but instead of the crows, you could have a timer to get them off or you go to the injured (or dying) state. Could have mirros dotted around the map and put timers so survivors have to at some point interact with them and have that as one of the 5 Candymans the survivors have to say. Once all five, either exposed or condemned. His add-ons would either speed up the timer needed to interact with a mirror, or slow down the bee timer. His perks could be something around the theme of his hook hand and the trial hooks, maybe. As he isn't really a walking killer, he'd materilaise like Sadako. And maybe faze in the chases. Haven't put much thought in to these, this is jsut what's off the top of my head.
Problem is, in the movie canon he's described as a vengeful Wraith. So I have no idea what he's be called ALA Pyramid head and The Executioner.

Artist's design and backstory make me think she was originally a prototype for Candyman. Or at least based off/inspired by him.

@TragicSolitude When I first thought of Candyman in DBD, it hit me that it was just The Artist. Kinda disappointing. Now they'd have to work hard not to make him just an Artist derivative. I can't think of what his power would be but the bees and How'd you work them without them being exactly the same as the crows? They're just a hindrance and added pressure.

@MrsGhostface That's what we all thought with the Pinhead license and the hook tease we got. I even allowed a vain hope that The Artist was Daniel Robitaille. The 6 would have to be upside down with an elongated curve for it to be juice flowing. But we can all hope, though. People seem to think the new killer will be spider based.

People said the previous killer would be spider based too, and the one before that.
Ultimately there's a ton of breadcrumbs left scattered to throw us off. Too much noise to make out the pattern.

We can hope. Lots of good IPs out there ripe for the picking. The game needs to be in a healthier state, though. I'd rather they wait until the character can be done justice and not rush it out when the game isn't ready for it.

Doctor Sleep would be a great chapter, with Danny Torrence and Rose the Hat.
Could introduce new psychic 'Shining' style perks for each of them.
Rose could have a floating sprint power and a Doctor style illusory passive.

@Munqaxus It was Nia Decosta, Peele just a production credit. But I agree wholeheartedly.
I also think FNAF is a bad idea. The whole deal with the puppets is they don't move when you look at them. That sounds like a massive nuisance.
