Interesting Boon Idea

Hello! I just wanted to share my take on an interesting boon change. I'm not sure how much weaker it would make the perks, but it's interesting. Understandably, the other boons would need to be changed as well to compensate for the changes. I know this topic has been talked to death already and many great suggestions have been made, but this is just my take on it.

This pushes it into the territory of being borderline useless. The best part is the healing speed bonus, but the bonus itself is too high which was literally the problem we just solved. Just now instead of the perk just working the input required to get any benefit too high to make it viable even with 100% healing speed bonus. If someone is going to cleanse a totem to heal a health state why not use a more efficient perk like inner strength?

This is still technically more efficient than Inner Healing.

Just need to find 2 totems spots and you can heal infinitely basically in 14 seconds.

Not if they're going to cleanse the totem as per the wording of the suggested change, that totem would be destroyed. Unless I'm misinterpreting something, which is very possible, You bless a totem and then to get the effects you then need to do the cleanse action on the blessed totem breaking the totem which gives the person cleansing a full health state and leaves a healing speed bonus field for 90seconds for everyone else.

Ah, I just assumed because it's a boon, you just bless the totem = get the heal and the 100% healing speed radius. It's possible the wording might be incorrect. We would need the author to clarify it.

    I love the creativity!

This version addresses the frustration survivors have with having to boon a totem (taking several seconds) and healing (taking MORE time!) but also prevents the boon from being a perpetual and veritably infinite bastion of heals with a wellspring of super speedy health states from match start to end.

It also means that survivors don't instantly run to a totem and start booning, but only go for it once they are injured.

it puts a good condition on the totem that requires preparation and foresight, while adding a finite value to the perk's effects.

I like it a lot, but I also think it has some drawbacks.

Overall - I think this is better than what we currently have - although I think the entire Boon system needs a drastic rework in and of itself.

I don't think it would be a better change, but it is a neat idea to ponder over.
