iron will is bugged, when is the fix?
for ages now iron will has remained bugged and it needs attention towards it. iron will is meant to remove all grunts of pain sound (it does this fine) but it ALSO removes sounds its not suppose to. for example breathing noises. iron will should not remove breathing noises according to the perk description but it does and this needs to be changed. usually when injured you groan in pain and breathe but iron will removes both of them despite only meaning to remove one. id love to see a fix to this as the perk is doing way too much right now

Oh no you apparently can't hear the unnoticeable breathing sounds while injured and using a very specific perk. There's bigger problems than that ATM.

tbh OP is right. Iron will should replace injured sounds with breathing sounds, not make the survivor completely inaudible.

its not unnoticeable at all, when a survivor is running or stars walking after running they pant and pant. very easy to locate. try wearing a headset. iron will removes all of this when its not suppose to

It's not unnoticeable, just harder to hear.
Fixing the breathing sounds would be a good way to change IW. If you nerf it by just reducing the number I think that would kill the perk almost instantly.

No tot mention foot steps.

Literal whataboutism.

Yeah let's kill another perk lol. Survivors should not have anything good.

I mean... survivors actually demanded that for stridor so, yeah.

Get a better headphone.

Because it made Spirit literally uncounterable?? She didn't always have directional phasing sounds remember??

Nerfing Stridor was mistake. Perks should counter each other. Nerfing IW will be another mistake. We should bring back old Stridor.

Bugs that give survivors an advantge do not get fixed. In fact, it is welcomed by the community since most players prefer playing as a survivor.

Yeah I love iron will on my survivor but i do think it needs to have like a 99% grunts of pain instead of the 100% so if you super close to them you hear them just a tad as i dont see how they wouldnt make ANY noise. Strider should have some play as well. But yah breathing being still on it would probably fix that issue as well. I wasn't around for the strider nerf but if a killer slots it just to hear people who might not have iron will doesnt seem like such a big thing to me.

If you're worried about that just run doctor or even whisper.

What if they got calm spirit! xD! (kidding of course lol)..Guess whisper wouldnt work of cours haha the entity is beyond that!.

Restraint add ons show auras or you can use a headset to hear the steps.

I need to invest in a better headset i think -evil grin as killer-😅

I'm assuming it hasn't been addressed because it would require a rework of the breathing mechanic as a whole. I firmly believe Iron Will needs a rework, but I'm assuming there are technical considerations at play and they're leaving well enough alone rather than breaking all sounds.

Most players don't listen for breathing at all or simply can't hear it. If Iron Will made you breathe instead of moan, it would still be strong vs 90%~ of the player base.
It's mostly an annoying and extremely disorienting perk that is seriously not fun to play against.

its not a nerf. its making the perk work how its description says

If you don’t mind me asking…what headset do you use?

Asking for a perk to work as intended isn't killing a perk. I've been saying this about Iron Will and Stridor ever since that ridiculous change. The entire game operates on additive logic, but for some reason, IW operates on multiplicative logic. It's fine that it removes grunts of pain. Survivors aren't holding their breath the entire trial though. That change killed Stridor. Why equip a perk that more than likely is only going to apply to 1-2 survivors per match? And that's if you're lucky.
Stop defending broken designs just because the only side you play massively benefits from it.

It's not unnoticeable at all. Learning to paying attention to breathing sounds is one of the biggest skills a killer can have. Plenty of times I find immersed survivors just thanks to that
