Cenobite mains a question

Okay serious question to the 10 people who main Pinhead. If you become 100% accurate with his chain shot hitting at least 9/10 of your shots, is he at all effective in chase against meta survivors or does he still hugely struggle?

Honestly the chains don't really seem too OP. I've gone against a lot of pinheads who were landing chains 24/7 and they still broke a lot before they caught up to me, and that was at loops with the pinhead also at the loop. But the box is the box so he doesn't really need a chase power, so it's fine lol

Basekit his chains are only effective against lesser skilled survivors. Good survivors will barely get slowed down by his chain.

He can be effective with addons. But is to addon dependant in my opinion.

Without addons? No, even if you hit 10/10. Clown's bottles, for example, are easier to use and far more effective.

I'm having a different experience then because if you always hit the right chain hits at loops then you shut down their ability to vault windows and pallets. It's loop dependent to an extent, like you're not going to hit someone on the other side of a shack wall and then walk outside and around a corner to catch them. But most others in my experience yes, reliably hitting the right chain hits lets me catch right up to them.

Yup, stopped many a pallet drop/vault or window vault with a well time gateway cast.

I can hit most of my chains and yes, it helps a lot in chases. Long distance chains don't help much, it's really the closer distance chains that make a big difference.

The chains are much stronger than people give them credit for. They just have to be used in the right spots. It's the same placement logic as Clown gas or Freddy snares. If you hit a chain right at a pallet, it's not going to do much. No different than Clown gas in that regard. If you hit a chain at the end of the long side of a tile, you're probably getting a hit.

I wouldn't say he struggles much if he's played well. His problems are the same as any other high tier M1, but he's not weak at all.

Even if you hit 100% of your chains and used them at the right moment they're still inconsistent.

They're a utility for multiple purposes. As antiloop, they're average at best except at specific tiles. But again, every antiloop power has tiles where it shines.

Impailng wire feels so basekit it hurts. A lesser ppwered version of it should be on him at all times. The Box gremlin builds are pretty humorous but this is a high skill killer with moderate pay off. Inferior to blight, nurse and humtress even with good add ons. That mot necessarily a bad thing but pretending hes top tier killer would be disengenious.

As a console Pinhead, no, I bring engineers fang a lot to make it worth when survivors are moving in a homogenized way.

Since his nerf he needs a purple add-on to be effective, IMHO.

A chained survivor cannot Dead Hard, but a survivor can also Dead Hard a chain.

A survivor can attempt to Sprint Burst or Lithe, but catching them prevents them from running away.

Terrain of any height can break a chain if the chain spawned poorly, and you still break your own chains for some reason.

The power is a fever dream, but a dream nonetheless.

I mained Ceno for a bit when he came out. He's still in my back pocket, but I've never tied myself down to any killer, really. (right now I'm on a real Freddy kick, for example)

    it was super hard.

Ceno's like nurse, but instead of getting a hit, you get dopamine.
