Elephant in the room
Recently I've been playing against killers that are super toxic.
Not just occasionally, every single killer for the past 2 months has been so toxic even if the survivors are not.
Camping, hardcore tunneling, smacking on the hook and nodding.
Leaving people on the ground to bleed out.
Seems killers are finally realizing the game isn't as survivor sided as they thought because they're finally trying and not crying about getting free wins.
They still complain though 🤔

If killers didn't always play like their mother's gonna die if they don't get a 4K I wouldn't have anything to be angry with.
Idc about perks, killer or anything. It's just the players that make the game unenjoyable.

I don't get how smacking on hook and nodding is toxic... either way one of the reasons you're angry is because the killer is trying to win.... I honestly don't see why that could be a reason to be angry about.

The killers are just having fun and playing the game!! What's the problem?? Just a cheeky little bit of fun, just like teabagging and macro flashlight clicking and emoting at safe pallets. All in good fun bro

Jeez reading this shows the actual problem. It's not us vs them or killer mains vs survivor mains. It's toxic culture. On both sides. Unfortunately, nothing can be done about it. Unless it's an actual cheat or glitch or something that can be corrected via update, the developers can't do anything. The problem is the gaming community that plays this game has been overrun by bullies. On both sides. And cheaters on both sides. I have been in a game that all 4 survivors were downed and hung in under 2 minutes. How is that fun or enjoyable for the killer? Or anyone? If the purpose of the game is to earn bloodpoints and experience, why would you limit it? That's the real problem with this game. No one is here to play anymore. It's a game guys, not an extension of your real life. Jeez....

Playing smart and efficiently isn't toxic.
Nodding and hitting on Hook isn't toxic, it's a strategy, albeit a weird one, that tries to infuriate Survivors, like t-bagging or Flashlight clicking during a Trial.
Toxic is when you tell someone to unalive themselves in post-game chat

I do not nod, beat people on hook, or bleed survivors out because I believe the game is survivor sided. It is, but I would have done that regardless.

As killer nowadays I do a lot of tunneling with a side of camping to punish a gens-before-friends and ensure a stage hook. Bleeding out is only reserved to specific teams built to make any other move unreliable.
As survivor I also get the tunnel and camp, which is fine. However sometimes a killer hits the hook and it's usually when I made him waste a lot of time or broke a hook, blocked, ... I get he wasn't happy. It usually makes me smile because, unless I go against Nurse or Blight, I'm really not that good.
It's kind of what the game is, as for the "BM" it really doesn't matter, be it from a killer or from a survivor. At best, it helps by wasting some time, at worst it's kind of sad for that person to be that way (because sometimes they are venting some personal problems).
It's only a game, cheer up.

I suspect the problem is with the computer. If the enclosure has some kind of stain in the shape of an apple, it's a symptom it should be replaced. 😁

Toxic is side loading brand new accounts and joining as a swf to bully low killers.
Toxic is getting an easy win against a 200 hour killer with your 20k hour 4 man and then belittling them in the aftergame chat.
Toxic is threatening people outside the game or in the end game chat and wishing they would commit no life.
Toxic is making a discord group dedicated to stalking, sniping and hacking against a streamer for their views.
What can a killer do? stand at the hook while your team does 5 gens and out....
Look at any killers profile and then a survivors profile and tell me, what side attracts the most disgustingly toxic and vile people in this community.
There are bad eggs on both sides, but you can't in good conscience sit there and tell me it is even.

Killers who go after the body of a hooked survivor are nuts. You will never make me change my mind.
I always feel like I see some dumb beast spitting his hate, like he's almost trying to actually kill me through the screen. I almost hear him scream "Die !".
It's maybe the only time people manage to scare me on a game.

Maybe it's because having survivors looping you all match while the gens fly and then another survivor comes to the rescue when you get downed and flash lights you for the save puts a little burn in there heart. Constant chasing is for noob killers anywayz

I play only solo survivor, and in most games the killer gets teabagged in the end, even if he lost because he was playing "fair", with neither camping, slugging nor tunneling. Yet, the survivors are toxic. Yeah, its the killers fault, i see that now after your post.

I fully agree with the nodding, it's basically the same as tea bagging. Neither is toxic unless used in a way that is intentionally toxic, which is much harder for the nods.
Tea bagging after outplaying the other player isn't toxic, it's just cheeky fun for the most part, the same goes for nodding as killer after you down that survivor that acted like they were untouchable. A single hit on the hook after you hook a survivor that looped you really well isn't toxic either, it's basically just a way to say "You did well and I don't like it!", as long as you move on after that it should be fine imo.
Survivors waiting at the exit gate for the entirety of the EGC just so the killer comes over to watch them tea bag until they have to leave or the killer hits them out is toxic and just a huge waste of everyone's time.
Killers face camping and constantly hitting on hook while nodding is toxic behavior for the reason that the survivor can't prevent or ignore it at that point.

I nod to survs when they outplay me like "good one" I will also nod if someone tries to deadhard me and I get them. Like "nice DH bro"
Nodding/teabagging during an outplay is not BMing imo. I dont mind when a surv acklowledges they outplayed me there and does a quick crouch. Versing good opponents is what we should want in a PVP game.
Watch some comp killers they nod when they get outplayed too. Its just a way of saying yeah

Agreed. The other things the poster mentioned though (smacking people over and over on hooks, intentionally bleeding people out for no reason) are total jerk moves.

Not every game is going to be a good time and you shouldn't take it like a personal attack if you do get slugged camped tunneled or smacked on the hook. Interactions like that usually just happen in the heat of the moment in game. Just like how survivors can teabag, click flashlights and spam notifications. Happens on both sides and if you can't handle interactions like that this game may not be for you.
I'll slug, camp and tunnel and on the other side I'll teabag and click my torch. I do it because the game allows me to and it usually results in me tilting the enemy for an easy win. Granted on the killer side you need to tunnel at least one survivor out early unless they're all garbage or else gens will go by too quick. You can't do a victory lap around the map each time you hook a survivor.
