Can every survivor PLEASE bring Decisive Strike in their game?
Tunneling is getting worse these days, and your basically just screwing over your teammates because you didn’t equip it. Don’t get me wrong, I also wanna swap it out to try other perks because the meta perks are becoming more boring these days, but the Killers want someone quickly out of the game so they have a easier time. So please, just bring it! It’s worth it and you can help your team out many times!

No.

Nah. I hop on a gen as soon as I get unhooked, so it’s a pointless perk for me.
19 -
Some people enjoy playing the game and others enjoy waiting in the queue, I can respect that. But to be serious, not bringing DS can cost you and your team the game. Last night a 2k turned into a 4k because I didn't bring DS, if I did my team would've barely finished the last gen. Using meta perks every single game gets boring quick so I don't blame my teammates for not bringing it
6 -
Never. If that means I die faster, so be it. I dont take the game seriously anymore to run meta ######### other than BT but that one is more for me to get safe unhook points than anything else
5 -
And the fun fact remains, that most meta perks hurt fair playing killer more during egc than hard core tunneler/camper during the whole trial.
4 -
DS is the only meta perk I bring in all my builds/surv loadouts,if you actually want to play and enjoy the game you should definitively bring it do whatever you want with the 3 others perks slots but at least please have DS this perk is just mandatory tbh.
It is a fair and balanced perk rn and the killer knows he's taking risks if he's picking you up so it ain't a boring perk just a necessary 'evil' to not get tunneled and die in few seconds and give some time for your team to rush gens.
5 -
DBD, especially on the survivor side, is repetitive and even boring in some ways. So if I'm forced to play perks that don't amuse me, I still prefer not to launch the game.
Anyway, either the Killer tunnel, and the game is boring so I prefer to die quickly and next the game, either the Killer waits 60s so Unbreakable is more effective.
So no, I will not bring DS. BHVR has to solve the problem of the tunnel, it's not for me to change my way of playing.
8 -
DS is too weak to prevent tunneling, you will live few more seconds, and cant repair gens etc.
Killer mains destroyed the perk, overnerfed
11 -
Nah, DS would limit my builds (unless I decided to run a full stun build).
And honestly? In a majority of my games I never thought, "ah if only I had DS."
It's just a wasted perk slot if I use it. Funnily enough DS and Dead hard are probably my least ran perks. To my knowledge I've only ran DS 3 times in my almost 700 hours.
1 -
Except that the effect of the perk is the EXACT SAME as before the last nerf, it only deactivates now if you do anything else but try to not get found directly again and look for safety.
The last change they did to the stun was even BUFF it years ago.
8 -
this what i do DS is pointless now tho it needed that nerf
2 -
I'd much prefer it if my teammates stopped farming me off the hook please and thank you.
Are there times when the killer would have come at me regardless and DS would have saved me? Yes. But for every one of those, there are nine times when a teammate snatches me off the hook with the killer only getting to take three steps away or if the killer did actually leave, my teammate grabs me and sprints away as fast as humanly possible and/or makes sure to hide before the killer comes back.
8 -
Can you also only unhook if you have BT please? Thanks.
Also make sure you have DH, because when you don't extend your chase by 20 seconds you're screwing over your teammates.
Now we've got that out of the way, what would you like to use as your ONE optional perk? Your options are Unbreakable or Circle of Healing.
(Btw, everyone running DS will result in it getting nerfed again. Just a heads up)
5 -
You don't have to ask me twice
2 -
Nah man i think you’re onto something. I have 7000 hours in dbd and thats what i always tell new players
0 -
Hardly. Its a perk to give you more of a chance against dumb killers. A good killer who just downed someone that was recently unhooked, that hasn't seen this person on a generator or healing another survivor is just going to leave you on the ground.
And if you have had the time to start healing someone else or sit on a generator then you're doing objectives and you're free game again and it's totally appropriate for you to be right back on the hook. Like Borrowed Time, its to give you more of a chance to just run the hell away and have an opportunity to do an objective.
It's not supposed to be a shield that covers you because its "not your turn" to be downed again yet as you work on a generator or get someone else up off the ground or heal them.
I would love it if everyone wasted a perk slot on it. Hell bring Unbreakable as well and use your one time Ubreakable on getting up when you're the only person slugged.

Let me know when it's in the Shrine. Until then it's B.T. or Kindred LOL

DS doesn't do anything to stop kills, it buys gen time and that's it. 70% of every DS I have eaten since this patch I have been able to tunnel right back through if I really think I need the kill to win
4 -
yea but it never gets used why I going to try Tenacity Boil Over and flip flop something else only use it if I get really tunneled.
0 -
And in the 30% you didn't, it prevented a kill.
Nothing in the game truly prevents a kill, they merely provide the opportunity to prevent it, whether or not it is prevented relies on teamwork, whether that's taking a hit for someone, or being a distraction and a more enticing target for the killer.
Ultimately, DS, like UB and Deliverance, is a second chance perk that awards you with a bonus health state. You get two health states to play with, and these perks give you a third. That's nothing to be sniffed at.
2 -
Well, give pop 10 secs to use it only. The effect would be the EXACT SAME
2 -
Correct and any killer that throws a teantum about the 15 seconds is exaggerating. (Just like piruluk with "over nerfed")
Also you still have the full minute to hide and find help.
What's your point?
2 -
DS is a staple in my build...most of the time.
1 -
I rarely run DS, and I remember being camped & tunneled through it by a Freddy last year. That person wanted me out of the game that bad. I had teammates even try to body block for me (unfortunately they weren’t good at it, but at least they tried). It sucks getting found first cause you never know what type of player the killer is until you’re on that hook.
That game taught me if someone really wants you out the game, they’ll risk throwing to get you out. By.
2 -
Nice how for you 10 and 60 seconds are comparble.
Ds does what it did before it is meant to counter tunneling its not meant for you to have a shield so you can sit there and work on a Gen and when the killer comes around you can have 39 second plus chase only to smack him when he downs you. Killer are players to we aren't npcs to entertain you
2 -
Sure will do.... If you come around buy lorie and level her to unlock it and the level my main survivor till I have it on them till then don't tell people that they ruin the game for there mates when you literally talk about a perk that is behind a pay wall
0 -
I would if I constantly got tunneled but I don't. So it would be a waste of a perk slot for me.
If games ever get to the point where I am then I'll run it.
1 -
Did you stopped use anti-gen perks on killers? Or you just stopped use survivor meta.
1 -
If it only bought you a few more seconds that's a skill issue, not a tunneling issue.
Destroyed the perk? It's still literally one of the top 3 best perks in the entire game.
1 -
No thanks. I was running it before but after noticing I needed it like once in 10 games I just replaced it. There's no point of running it and 99% of the times I would have a chance to use it, I would need to force it. And forcing DS on killer is a terrible idea.
I'd rather take something that will help more people and will actually find any use in game

My solo queue games are chill enough as it is.
I don't need to run the best perks to win most of my games (full disclosure - I do run DH/WoO/SC/Botany).
Sometimes I'll swap DH and WoO for Overcome and Prove Thyself.
1 -
On killers too, I use shadowborn on everyone since I get sick of normal FOV and usually BBQ and 2 chase perks like enduring and such
0 -
no it's boring
1 -
Meta perks are boring.
0 -
If you are repairing gens you’re not getting “tunneled”.
4 -
Even if you bring ds you can still miss it and killer can just wait it out. Ds needs buff so more people would use it. It should have easy skill check and stun effect should be longer and survivor should not leave scratch mark after using it. Also the timer is too quick probably 80s would be better and you should be able to heal yourself. That would make it real antitunneling perk. Now it's usually small slow down and agains't good nurse or blight it's nothing.
2 -
Playing without anti-gen is hard, i respect that. I am glad someone still has fun on DbD
0 -
In my opinion, the main cause of the tunnel stems from both the gen and healing speed (broadly). Doing gens in parallel and ignoring hooks is way too efficient. There is only one answer to this.
0 -
If ds is an antitunnel perk it should be usable twice and without the skill check
0 -
No, it’s not. But it’s the only weapons survs have to prevent tunneling. If pop regressed only 10% and were the only regression perk it would be meta also.
0 -
This. All of this.
3 -
Don't know on the using it twice thing but that's something that could be tested balance wise and sure the skillchrck can go I don't know why it's still there
1 -
If it wasn't physically impossible to hit that skill check on the switch, I might consider using it again
1 -
It objectively is.
A 10% pop is trash but saying it would be meta if no other gen slow perks existed is a superfluous statement. 10% is 8 seconds off a gen...you would lose more than 8 seconds walking over and kicking it. It would literally be a net negative on time. That's like saying Monstrous Shrine would be meta if no other perks existed.
1 -
Given the nerf to DS that makes it more situational, I'd be all for it having 2 tokens or charges. But it probably wouldn't work all that well.
If you got hit with DS after the first time a survivor was unhooked, then you'll just wait it out the second time.
It would make it far more worthwhile combining it with Unbreakable though, basically covering both bases.
0 -
No thanks it's a boring perk to use for myself I'm good without it.
0 -
Or bhvr could balance the game in a way so the best option isn't to get rid of someone asap.
0 -
Survivors get a -10% repair speed debuff for each survivor still in the game?
That could work.
1 -
On a personal note I try to avoid tunneling as much as possible so I nearly never face a ds other then in endgame when I think tunneling Is fairgame so it wouldn't make a difference for me personally if it had two uses
2 -
I mean tunnelling happens throughout the course of normal play, sometimes the unhooker ghosts and leaves the unhooked up as bait, and often times it's survivors intentionally baiting the DS.
If you're gonna intentionally park your ass in front of my blade it's getting slashed, you're only wasting your DS on an avoidable hit, so I'm not too bothered.
