PLEASE BUFF SADAKO IM BEGGING YOU
Simple buff: let Sadako attack out of stealth. She already has a lullaby and isn't entirely invisible, so it won't really be hard to tell where she is. Adding a small movement speed buff for a second or two when manifesting would help. Giving a choice on whether you'll try to confuse the survivor or go for a tight lunge. This is only a work around off the top of my head so manifesting still has a legitimate purpose. I'm sure more could be expanded upon with manifesting as well.
It allows her stealth to be used in chase, giving her a small but not completely dedicated chase power. This way she doesn't have insane anti-loop along with high map pressure. Acting like Ghostface's stealth during chase. Just a feasible tool to help her get things going.
FUN BUFF: Condemned stacks decrease the intermittence of her phasing. It makes condemned have an actual mechanical use rather than just being a thing that sometimes happens. It adds so much more depth to her gameplay and makes condemned meaningful. As well as buffing tapes to not only be used for slowdown, as they're intended to do, but are used as a tool against Sadako too. You can nullify her stealth completely at the cost of being mori'd if you aren't careful.
This opens a lot of scenarios. Imagine a survivor is on death hook, so they get full condemned to not be surprise attacked. Giving up the chance to potentially be saved from dying and alerting Sadako to their position as either a distraction or to crank out the last gen with a warning. Making a hail mary to the exits with full visuals on her.
Or, the distraction could be expanded upon. Getting condemned mid game in hopes of looping her for a long time. Giving her a real incentive to potentially shift the game in her favor with one mistake, or waste so much time she's lost 2 1/2 gens.
I really enjoy Sadako. Unfortunately she's one of those killers that needed a little more time in the oven. Her kit has potential for a fun and thrilling chaos. Which is why I'm so sad to see her in the state she's in.

Yeah Normally kill all survivors or they escape before Condemned works

"You can nullify her stealth completely at the cost of being mori'd if you aren't careful."
I think this is a great idea, I'm a big proponent of impactful game choices.
Lets face it survivor is a lot of staring at the skill check and that's about it. Morso in a 1v1 meta where often a single player interacts with the killer all game while the rest just stare at skill checks. Having tough choices that influence gameplay at increased personal risk would make things far more interesting.
She's a really great concept and design, one of the few killers I've actually picked up soon after release just because her gameplay videos looked interesting, (unlike poor old nemesis with his 3rd health state tentacle smash then chase as usual, I waited till he was on heavy discount and I'm not dissapointed that I did, but I digress).
She's good but yeah like many killers something is lacking.

I bought it yesterday
Oh boy, how bad is she
Its like playing a killer without any power
Manifesting barely does anything, condemn is useless af
She is really weak, maybe the weakest of the killer cast imho

You can only see her intermittently while within 10 meters + 2 for each stack of condemn you have. As well as you can only hear her Lullaby while carrying a tape.
Those are the buffs I would do. They make it so the closer you are to death the more she reveals herself to you. Flavortown.

BHVR: We have heard you and agree, Onryo will receive the following buffs:
.5 seconds reduced from the manifest timing, (was 1.5 seconds)
Survivors see Onryo within 24 meters in increments of 1/1 seconds (was visible for 1.5 seconds/invisible for 1)
Reduced the Onryo's lullaby Radius to 20 meters (was 24)
We've also made a Considerable buff to the Remote Control add-on: Remote Control now shows you the aura of a survivor for 2 seconds when they start copying a tape to remove their condemnation stacks.
To compensate for this, Onryo no longer gives survivors Condemnation stacks when teleporting to a nearby TV, and survivors remove all stacks of condemnation upon successfully copying a tape.
We've also reduced the effective range of the Pig's Ambush attack to 10 meters (was 16), and Victor can now be crushed by survivors at any time whether he's in control of the killer or not (so make those sneaky leaps count!)
We feel this is best for the community, because reasons, and hope you enjoy the new and improved buffs to Onryo!
Majority Community: "YAY DEVS! Thankyouthankyouthankyou..."
Minority killer represented side of the community: Sigh "Same #########, different day."

Nope... that'd be Clown now (since The Legion and The Ghost Face got buffed to being actually useful), seriously, how does someone buff a killer AND through their own power do the same for survivor at the same time? They gave him a temporary speed boost to help him with his "map pressure" problem, but also allowed survivors to take advantage of it, and then they went above and beyond to nerf his best add-ons in favor of "balance".
Sigh... these devs man...

Yeah, clown is in a pretty bad shape (exept for pinky finger which is broken af)
But sadako has 0 chase power, clown at least, have that. The only thing that helps sadako is that she is like 1m20

I honestly think the only buffs that Sadako desperately needs is having survivors who are in the radius of the TV have passive condemned gained. It would be a rate that's slower than holding a tape, so the survivor has to choose to either have a slower gain, but affect everyone on the gen, or take the tape and only have it gain on one person faster. This allows trade offs because the survivor has to choose if they just want one person slow downed who has to return the tape quicker, or have everyone potentially slow downed because they'll need to take a tape later.
Then, to help Sadako in chase a little bit, let her walk through pallets when in her power and she can't get pallet stunned when in her power. It's not a big change, but I think it's enough for her to at least quickly walk through god pallets during chase and not lose a W gamer.

I don't think the tape lullaby is true. I never use tapes against her and can always listen out for that screeching sound when she's in stealth.

That is one of my suggested buffs.

My Sadako hot take is that her Iridescent Video Tape Add On should just be part of her power. For those that don't know it allows her to turn on the last 4 TVs turned off by her Projecting to them whenever she is able to hit someone within 8 seconds of Manifesting. She doesn't need to be a great chase or anti loop killer, but let's just go *all the way* in the other direction.
She needs to be able to teleport around the map with ease and TVs have too long of a cooldown as is.

Sadako isn’t as bad as some people claim, she’s actually a decent slugger because of her ability to quickly get around the map after a down combined with her Undetectability helping her start chases closer to survivors.
That said the devs haven’t done their full balance pass on her yet. Odds are we’ll see a balance pass for Sadako either next full patch or the patch after that. (I think they typically do balance passes on midchapter releases since the full chapter is focussed more on a new killer entirely.)

I've been having good success with Sadako as she is. Until yesterday I faced an entire squad of all 4 survivors with Spine Chill in the Game map.
Was not pleasant. I won't lie I gave up lol.

My last game as her I got two condemned kills using her Video Tape Add On and being able to teleport constantly to cut off chases and surprise people by gens and hooks.
It's hard not to just chase survivors though, I have to try to fight the habit and just see which way they're running it and if they are heading to a tv to just lose line of sight, teleport and cut them off from the other direction. Worked quite well.
Oh god. Nightmares. I had a match on that level where using the Tape Add On just let me say nope to all the pallets and I just went somewhere else or tried to come at them from another direction, but what can you do? It was awful even using that.

Nope, Sadako makes up for her lack of chase potential with something clown has never had: Superior Map Pressure.
Clown can have some (after sacrificing part of his power), but at the cost of possibly granting it to survivors, whereas Onryo does so far better, without giving survivors any advantages against it, gives them a negative effect that can ultimately let her kill them, and the only warning they have is the noises it makes. Basically Onryo can jump all around the map, and Clown has to pound dirt to get places. This is the difference between a good 1v1 killer vs, a 1v4. Clown is excellent in the right hand for taking down a survivor he finds swiftly, but Onryo can apply pressure all over the map, and take survivors down strategically. In the War of Attrition that is Killers pressure vs. Survivors Gen Pressure, Onryo comes out the champ, because at least she can do something about it, and do it much faster than Clown could ever hope to. She may be a basic m1 killer, but she can approach undetected, and pop up anywhere on the map.
And no, Pinky finger is not "Broken AF" considering it takes a well aimed direct shot to work, and only lingers for 1.5 seconds afterwards. If you think that's broken AF, then you've never faced GF who can expose you for 60 seconds after stalking for only 2.5 as part of his base kit, Plague, who can make the whole team 1 shot down indefinitely, until someone starts cleansing, or obviously the most broken killer of all: Billy who can 1 shot down survivors on any chase, without giving them a chance to react, and I can give MANY more examples... Don't try to make one of Clowns "Best" add-ons seem overpowered, when he's the worst killer in the game, if anything, he could use something "OP" to compensate for his many disadvantages, but that still won't make him "fun" to play or play against. Clown needs a Serious buff, because honestly his last one felt like the devs were just "clowning around" with him tbh.

They need to drastically reduce the range that survivors can hear her demanifesting. When you try to sneak up on survivors they get so much time to gain distance before you’re able to demanifest & hit them. Reducing her teleport cooldown would also be good, there’s no reason why it should be that long when compared to Freddy or Demo.

at the very least they could remove her lullaby radius... what's the point of having a Stealth killer if everyone gets an early warning that you're coming, and it's not like she's got a ranged damage ability, so why all the noise for a killer that is supposed to thrive on jump scaring survivors?
And here I thought they learned their lesson from the "Noisy Ghost Face" debacle of his PTB. I Guess I was wrong.
These devs man, gah, sometimes I just, y'know... these freaking devs.

i see now, my bad.
