Can people at least play both side before accusing people of crap?

So I just got accused of Wall Hacking because the other side lacks Game Sense.

Post Game Screen:

At the end of the game I just slugged a meg. I then saw faint scratch marks at the bottom of the stairs.

Based on this I then check the top of the stairs leading to the rooftop of the school as it's a common hiding place. A wild Blendette Appears!

She then DCs after getting slapped with NOED

At the End Game Chat, she then accuses me of Wall Hacking as it should have been impossible to find her there

tl ;dr.

I know getting accused of Hacking when you're not feels great but Geez, At least try to understand how it happened. Don't just play one side as that just half of the game. Any Survivor who has a decent amount of Killer experience would just accept that Claudette's Scenario and be a Giga Chad saying "GG" on the chat.

Well maybe not playing the other side but every one should atleast read every killer power and perk before accusing people of hacking

Why'd she bring you to Midwich, the most Killer-sided Map in the game?

  • D3spair

idk, Maybe Midwich is a map where Blendettes are free to blend?

Just because you play both sides doesn't mean that you will know what's happening in every single instance. I've had plenty of times when a landing crow gave away a survivor's position, but I have been in positions where the killer's play were VERY suspicious.

The two people I play survivor with pretty much only play survivor. I hear them in discord accusing every other killer of hacking and cheating because of "how could they see me!? They came right for me! they're cheating!"

And then I have to explain all of the Killer Aura reading perks over and over again.

The brought a Med-Kit, the least stealthy Item in the game, i don't think she cared about blending

I remember a survivor accusing me of hacking the game because they couldn't leave through the gates. They kept running into the gate but they couldn't leave! HAX!!!!

Maybe you should look at that perk Blood Warden that I'm running brah...

Speaking of BW, you'd also be shocked at how many survivors don't know that hiding in the gate area is a really bad idea and will also accuse me of hacking because I knew exactly where they were hiding.

Fun fact In another thread on the first forum page is a Twitter picture that shows that they only made the fleshy growth there bigger and now the potential totem spawn there is inaccessible for survivor to break a potential hex totem 🤦

"Pretty good job so far" and again and again and again....

I'm sorry you got accused, and good on you for having evidence that backs up your case. Considering the current situation with an influx of hackers, the community are more than likely just on edge.

The 4 DHs and the Midwich offering hurts my soul

This is hilarious. I've had the same thing happen to me because they ran into a locker and I see faint scratch marks. Or I see scratch marks entering a tile but never leaving it. I've been accused of hacking/cheating when I play Artist because people don't see her often so they don't understand her power cooldown. I've been accused of firing my birds off like a machine gun when it's literally just the normal cooldown for sending only one bird off. I definitely understand people being on edge for subtle cheats, but sometimes it is annoying when both sides don't consider the possibility that they might be in the wrong.

Oh boy sometimes you just get these guys. No matter what you do you hack.

Start playing Demo and sooner or later you will get reported for hacking in a deletet character

Yes, a lot of Survs don´t know they leave Scratch Marks and make noise when they jump through the windows.

I don´t have this funny snowy locker picture with the big blood trail leading to it... "How did you find me ???"

It just another example of sore losers being just that nothing more.

I can't imagine how many false post game reports they have to dig through that are just the result of salty players being pissy over nothing.

There is a rampant cheater problem. So of course people start to witchhunt when something unusual happens. Is it annoying? Absolutely!

But honestly, i can´t blame them.

This is: "Meg crouches right after a hook and wonders how the killer knew exactly where she was" level of ignorant.

Survivor mains should definetely play both sides at least bit. You get just better understanding how each killer power work and also which way you can counter them. Playing killer helps also improve you looping seeing how good survivors do it. Experienced Killer main however does not neccesary have to play survivor but for beginners I would say play some survivor too so you can see how more experienced killers mindgame and use their powers. It also helps to know where survivors typically spawn.

I've been accused of hacking a couple of times the two I remember were:

Using Pyramid Head's final judgement to quickly mori a survivor. Got accused of hacking for mori without offering.

Downing a healthy survivor with Legion's 5th Frenzy hit.

Both times I told them to read the power description as it says it right there. But you know reading is hard.

I agree on the part that everyone should play both sides regularly. Not just a little. So many complain threads on this forum would instantly vanish, if people could see why the other side plays like this.

One time I got accused of hacking as clown. I had a guy down under a pallet and the whole team was clustered around waiting for the pallet save. They didn't understand that I can hear them breathing? I can see a Jeff through a gap between the locker and the wall? They all got slugged for this empty-brained play and accused me of hacking. Absolutely ridiculous.

I always leave before a survivor get hooked at end game. I don't wanna be stuck with them and the killer.

This is why video evidence is and should remain a requirement for reports of cheating to translate to game bans. I have one SWF buddy that every time we play a Nurse with Floods of Rage, he insists they’re cheating.

Every so often I get accused. Played an Artist match that I got accused by the twitchy. Discordance told me where they were.

Or as survivor, another Nurse missed a blink and said I turned off collision 🙄

The problem is, there was a lot of cheating happening. I hope it’s gone down.

I made a discussion once about the dumbest reasons people got accused of cheats. One dude had to show someone how BBQ works.

BBQ, probably the most common aura perk in the entire game.

NOTHING will surprise me after that...

  • DyingWish92
    DyingWish92 Member Posts: 793

Play vs survivor main TTV and use BBQ and they accuse you of sniping every single time. They don't even know what killer perks do.

People have accused me of cheating for the most stupid reasons. For example: I was looking for a survivor near a gen that had more progress then the last time I checked it. I searched around the gen but couldn't find them. Next to the gen was a locker and because I couldn't find them around the gen I checked the locker and of as you can probably already guess, they were in it. They called me a cheater and told me I was going to get reported. I just laugh about it now, some people will always blame it on something or someone else when they lose.
