Another beyond stupid thing that needs fixing.
I have Interaction Behavior set to toggle.
The hatch spawned near me while I was down and this NEVER HAPPENS. EVER!!
Only as soon as I go to it the stupid as all hell controls kept thinking I would want to recover instead of oh IDK. Win? Then due to me being on toggle I need to hit the button a 2nd time just to cancel it. Leading to a frantic situation of dying for no reason.
Hit the button hit it again to cancel. Hit it once more same thing going on hit it again and again. Killer comes to close it.
Why in the world is it even POSSIBLE to sit directly on top of an open hatch and recover instead of escape?
Considering these options are all about making the game more accessible. This needs fixing it is ridiculous. You shouldn't even have these command conflicts, especially in a situation where there is literally not a single logical reason you would want to perform one over the other.

That's not the control settings, that is literally the actual hatch being wonky. I've had many moments where the killer is letting me leave and the escape option won't show correctly and instead just shows recover even when directly on the hatch.

That has nothing to do with the interaction behavior settings, that's just a stupid thing with hatch that's always existed afaik. One time I nearly had a killer close the hatch on me after they tried to give it to me because they thought I was stalling and refusing to leave.
They need to just make it so if you're on hatch then it prioritizes the hatch over anything else. Now that hatch only spawns at 1 survivor left there's no reason you'd want to recover instead of escaping anyway.

My response to both replies....uhm, no #########?
It's compounded by this issue if you use those controls making it all worse. You have to hit the button a 2nd time to undo the action you didn't want to perform. Only to then possibly have it happen again on the third push then requiring a FOURTH to cancel that out and then on and on depending on how it goes. My entire point.....
If the control options compound other problems in the game it kinda defeats the purpose of making options like that altogether. Meaning it needs to get fixed.
Yes, it should prioritize escaping through the hatch above all. Same thing with healing at exit gate switches and probably other things too. Thuis doesn't sound hard to fix IDK how some of these have been in years.
