When can we expect to hear more about the Prestige 3 award?
In the post about the Prestige rework, it says that all characters who currently have Prestige 3 will recieve a "distinct reward", and the specifics will be unveiled a "little further down the line".
Knowing what the reward will be is going to be an important part of deciding whether to Prestige or not, and I'm wondering how long we'll have to wait before we hear anything about it.

More information will be given closer to when it's scheduled for release. At this stage we're not sharing more information other than what is mentioned in the blog post on the website.

I don't want another legacy.
I got full p3 billy, but all my other characters from back then only have a single piece of legacy because i did the correct thing and spread my points around instead of only playing a single character.
I got punished for doing the right thing. I don't want this to happen again to other people.

Was also wondering the same.. I have every killer at p3.. but I'm wondering if it would be worth getting every survivor at p3 before the change comes. (but at the same time, with the upcoming perk changes, I'll p3 every survivor just to have all of the non-generic perks at level 3 on everyone automatically, so I guess even without knowing what the reward is going to be, I'll do it ahead of time on the survivors I like best and work my list down to Nea)

Seeing as some characters aren't seemingly ever getting more cosmetics I'll bet it's a character specific charm you can't see half the time. If that is the case it'd have been better left unsaid.

The closest we can say for right now is that we're hoping to release it sometime this summer.

Will the bloody cosmetics stay as a prestige award? Or will they go away? I need to know for my Freddy.
Will more rewards be offered the more you prestige? Like every 5 levels after level 5 you unlock more cosmetics? Maybe Make the old rift cosmetics transition to prestige rewards instead of going to the store? It'd be good incentive to play/prestige characters more.

I'm really interested on this as well since the only characters I have p3 are from licenses 💀 while originals that I like I just get all the perks tier 3 instead of prestige since I have skins that I like more than the prestige itself.

Yeah I was wondering the same, about original/licensed...
I expect it to be original characters only, like with the anniversary crowns and a bunch of other things, otherwise it would cost them a lot to get permission to give out free cosmetics to basically half the player base (ok, exagerating there, but.. you know, no money for them to be made, and they'd have to pay the license holders for permission)
So I assume it'll be original characters only.. so they're the ones I'll be working on getting to p3 first.. then the licensed ones after if I can be bothered.

yeah, most likely that'll be the case. I got a little less worried when I read that they would take in consideration how much you invested on non prestiged characters to then give the equivalent in prestige, but I wonder if this would be considered the same as having the prestige itself before the changes/rewards come. Let's hope and see I guess.

I hope you realize that this is something that needs to be announced sooner rather than later, since it's going to take a lot of time to prestige everyone's characters.

There's not going to be a cosmetic for the P3 - I can't yet go into details on what players will receive but it's not "legacy 2.0" which is what I'm hearing a lot of.

I would gladly see a reward in A LOT OF bloodpoints for all the bloodpoints used (aka WASTED) for reaching p3 instead of some stupid charm or skin...

Hmm... could it be:
- A slight glow/aura around a character?
- Banner to signify you made it to P3 before the update?
- Special animation (I very very much doubt this)?
- Special survivor portraits?
What else could it be?
And thanks Mandy for confirming what you've confirmed. I don't think I'll prestige any more survivors now - I panicked and started prestiging Jonah yesterday.

They mentioned that Prestige Crests will be displayed in the lobby, I'm thinking maybe a unique one of those?

you're welcome, I wanted to be clear on this before players believed that legacy was making a return as I've already received messages about this etc. Trying to be as clear as I can on things.

Kinda glad to hear it's not gonna be an exclusive cosmetic, I had my doubts from the start bc there's no way in hell all licensed characters would be given an exclusive cosmetic for free like that
It has to be something general that probably doesn't affect the character itself. My guess is either a unique prestige banner or maybe something to do with that characters addons/offerings (I doubt it but imagine if they let that character have unlimited addons or something)
