[Question] Does the dredge have the best map mobility in the game right now?
Im generally curious.

Mmmm yes and no.
Yes because it's similar to Spirit and that he can "return" to his Remnant for pallet mind games.
No, because Nurse exists. Who doesn't need Lockers and a much shorter CD.
Great mobility but not the best. Also, its surprisingly slow the actual teleport animation. Slower than Demogorgon methinks.

He probably has the easiest to use map mobility but I feel it's pretty solid right now in comparison to other mobility killers. I still believe Nurse has the best mobility for short distances as she has more control over it especially with multiple floors. I feel like Dredge has the best mobility for large maps though but open to debate at the moment. Blight is probably in between Nurse and Dredge with mobility.

Very map dependent but on indoor maps like lerys definitely

In terms of map mobility he's much better than Nurse, because he's a 4.6 m/s killer that can teleport to any locker on a map, even if his teleport is slow, which it should be for its ease of use, number of charges, and how quickly it recharges.
He can use his short range teleport at loops without worrying about a fatigue state.
And if you know a survivor has gotten into a locker, then that's an instant grab. (You'd think no one would get inside a locker against Dredge, but you know people are going to get inside lockers against Dredge.)

If you ignore killers like Blight, Nurse, Billy and Spirit....
Sure

Blight, Nurse, Billy, and Spirit can't teleport across the whole of Red Forest from anywhere, at any time. Dredge's ease of use, puts him ahead.

Any of them can use their power to get to the exact location they want to be. Meanwhile Dredge teleports to a locker (not necessarily the exact location they want to be at) that could also be locked by survivors.
I'm also not at all saying Dredges mobility is weak. In terms of teleporting killers I think he's the strongest. But I believe there's better mobility killers out there.

They also aren't limited by RNG and hoping there's a locker nearby.

He said map mobility, not mobility. Dredge for sure has better map mobility than nurse. Nurse cant travel from one part of the map to the next willy nilly.

Okay but "where they want to be" is limited by various factors. Yeah Blight, Spirit, and Billy all have great mobility and can zip around super fast, but Dredge can just teleport to any locker, and then from that locker to any other locker or back to his starting point up to 3 (4 with an add on) times from anywhere with a short cooldown.
In terms of just being mobile around the whole of the map at any time from any point, that's pretty much it.

There's no RNG with Dredge, there's lockers in every corner of the map, and people playing on the PTB have already noticed that Behaviour has added more lockers to some maps to Dredge's benefit.

The only thing he realistically has going for him at loops is teleporting back to his remnant but when he does that he is slow af so eventually survivors will figure out that the second he uses his power and starts moving to you, you just turn tail and book it similar to how you would run an artist. Except he is weaker than artist at loops because of how slow he is while channeling his power.

I can promise you now there are tiles on Red Forest- to use your example- where the closest locker is at least 2 tiles away.

This isn't about at loops.
? And ? Dredge could still get from one side to the other quicker than anyone else other than Sadako with the right TV up.

Best map mobility, I'd say (seriously, Sadako and Freddy are looking pretty sad right now), but definitely not the best chase mobility.

Iron Maiden is going to be an interesting pick on him.
People always forget about Demo.

'He can use his short range teleport at loops without worrying about a fatigue state.' This part is. Its unrealistic to think you can actually use his teleporting to a locker part of his kit in loops. The only part of his kit thats anti loop is the teleporting back to remnant part but while thats really good at shutting down loops its beaten by just holding w. Tldr, better than nothing anti loop.

Heck, demos forget about their portals.

I'd say it's among the better mobility tools in the game, but it's not the best, the teleport is pretty slow when Nightfall isn't active
2 -
Pros: No set up, easily remove survivor locked locker mechanic, shoet cooldown.
I would say it's definitely the fastest and most convenient, but I'm not sure that makes it the best. Nurse gets Precision and Blight gets raw visual awareness that neither of the former get.

Nor can Dredge, Mother's Dwelling is not a map with plenty of lockers, it does have a lot in the tile with 6 of them but outside of that there arent exactly a lot of them, rocks, hills, wooden piles and rocks tiles have no lockers and several of those tiles can spawn together.

Well it can't be removed by survivors.
Hag's marks can be trigger or burnt with a light
Onryo's Tv's can be turned off
So yeah, it looks like Dredge is basically everywhere and nowhere with survivors having little control over it

Mm. I still reckon that in terms of controlled, sustained traversal on large maps, you're not going to beat Demo. One of my absolute favorite things is his ability to turn literally any gens into a 3gen, even if they're on opposite ends of Eyrie.

Dredge can use devour and make your choice extremely well
