DAE not like it when killers let you win?

It doesn't matter if they're friendly from the start, throw the match when they're pwning or getting pwned by survivors, or give the last survivor hatch. For me it's no different than if a killer is AFK or being toxic.

I'm not here to farm bloodpoints (even though I'm a slave to the grind like everyone) I'm here to have fun. The fun comes from actually playing the game, not getting freebies. I don't want you to be nice to me, I want you to kill me.

Makes me salty when I do most of the gens only to die unhooking my last teammate, who was hiding in a closet for half the match, as I'm about the open the exit gate... and then the killer gives that teammate the hatch. Like OK, guess I'll just watch from afar in my superman suit.

Play the game as it's intended please. Killer kills. Survivors survive.

Is this not my first post? I've said things that would make the Queen blush while playing this game... but never over not being given hatch. Like I said, don't want freebies. I'm here to play mang.

I like how you didn't mention when a Survivor DCs. I personally feel like I should go easier on people when a Survivor leaves since it becomes much harder to do things with 3 instead of 4.

Thought I was missing an example. It's annoying for everyone when a survivor DCs, but I'll still want to give it a shot especially if we already have a few gens done. If 2 survivors DC, go nuts. I wouldn't blame a killer for stopping after the first DC (though I've never seen it happen personally).

Literally under a post where I complain about getting the hatch. I run my mouth indiscriminately.

    And what would that be?

"Darn those meddling survivors for wanting to play the game as it was intended, i.e not wanting me to win the game for them!!"

  • WheresTheGate
    WheresTheGate Member Posts: 576

I'm a survivor main and I absolutely hate farming. I wish killers would send a message before a match loads. I would happily leave the lobby and wait for another match. If others want to do it that's their prerogative. I just hate being forced to do so because as with the OP I am playing to play the game. Not farm. If I'm the last survivor I don't care one way or the other if they gave me the hatch. The only thing bothers me in that situation is if they slug me and just leave me there to bleed out.

    Who is "y'all"?

The mistake you're making is bundling every player's opinion into a giant blob, or "y'all", you can attack. Where have I not made up my mind? I thought I was clear that I don't like it when killers let survivors win, I mean, that is the title of the post...

Do I want sweaty or chill games? Either's fine. Matches where killers let the survivors win aren't games; one side isn't playing.

You can complete tome "challenges" and daily rituals during normal gameplay, that's kind of what makes them a "challenge". You don't need to throw the match, ruining the experience for other players who might want to play the game as intended. They do just "take the bloodpoints and go", it's just not fun.

And that's cool that you'd never waste your time complaining in a forum or anything dawg.

Doesn’t matter what you do someone is gonna complain.

That said I prefer playing against a killer who is as nasty as possible. I want a horror movie/horror survival game experience and when you get it, it’s a lot of fun.

That said I’m not the boss of how others play, all I can do is manage my own behaviour and savour the games where I do get what I want from gameplay.

Eh, I may have exaggerated how much I care about the killer giving hatch. Mostly don't even spectate to find out. Just a bit annoying when it's a teammate who wasn't particularly helpful to anyone and who I died saving. Cerealy.

If a killer does not send a message before the match that they plan to farm I am forced to take part in a match where others are farming whether I participate or not. So yes, I am forced to take part in a match that I don't want to participate in

  • RisingTron
    RisingTron Member Posts: 508

But you're also free to do gens and leave lmao. So no, you're not being "forced" to do anything.

If you were being FORCED. That would mean the killer is actively stopping you from doing gens while also refusing to hook you, etc. That, we can agree, is a problem.

But nobody's forcing you to stay in the game when you can go do gens while the rest farm, if that's your issue lol.

tldr: you don't want to participate? Do gens and leave.

Let me put it this way so maybe it's more clear. No one can force me to farm once I get into a match where everyone else is doing so. On the other hand if I am not given the option to opt out before the match begins then I am very much forced to take part in a match where everyone else is farming whether or not I wanted to take part in that match. Can I just do gens and get out. Yes. That is what I do. But I am under no obligation to like it or want to do it just because that's how you feel about it.

tldr: can I be forced to farm? No. Can I be forced to take part in a match where everyone else is farming. YES

Another note, how is anyone going to message you to let them know they're farming? Telepathically? I'm not Charles Xavier. Just do gens and leave.

You cant really know if someone is being helpful or not until you check the point screen, sometimes Ive been accused of not doing anything and escaping while other, more useful teammates had died only to check the points and see I have like almost 10k more than them (5k for escaping but the other 5k didnt came from standing on a corner looking at the sky), even then points can be deceiving, someone farming the hooks will screw their team over and still get a sizeable amount of points.

Just because you dont see them around doesnt mean they arent fixing gens, cleansing hexes or healing others.

I've received messages multiple times from killers before matches saying they are going to farm, asking for help to do a challenge, etc. They have that option, at least on Playstation. I can't speak for any other platforms. So that's how. Once gain just because it doesn't bother you personally to be in a farming match doesn't mean that I or anyone else has to agree with you. Every time I am in that situation I "just do gens and leave" as that is the only choice I have. But I am under no obligation to like it or approve of it just because it's what you think. If you notice though I have never once told you that you have to dislike it just because I do, but for some reason the fact I don't share your opinion seems to be a real issue for you. It doesn't bother you. Cool. It doesn't have to bother you. I'm not asking you to make it bother you. But I don't have to share your opinion. That's one of the biggest reasons this forum gets so contentious. People think everyone else has to agree with them.

And then there are the survivors who will simply taunt and disrespect you despite being kind to them. Those are the worst.

Cross platform messages aren't a thing. So, I ask again. How would I message you and tell you that I'm farming.

See, all I'm getting out of this thread is that it's impossible to make Schrodinger's Survivor happy and instead I should just do whatever the hell I want.

  • WheresTheGate
    WheresTheGate Member Posts: 576

You wouldn't because I turned off cross platform long ago. Once again though that is irrelevant your constant refrain of "just do gens and leave". While that is indeed the only option I have in that situation I am under no obligation to think as you do about it. I have the same right to not like it as you do to have no problem with it. Regardless of how much you think everyone is required to share your opinion it isn't going to happen.

I always get the most backward salt from people like you. Its hilarious every time.

''Why did you give her hatch???''

''Why did you let them go and not me??''

''Why did my parents leave me''

Like dude, because i wanted to, because i wanted to and to get milk.

While I don't disagree, there are absolutely times when you can tell if a teammate is being helpful or not during a match.

You already gave one example: hook farming or just blatant bad timing. Not helpful. Consistently blowing up gens before running away to hide in a locker? Not helpful. Refusing to unhook, heal or protect? Not helpful. Bringing the killer to you? Not helpful. Fast vaulting for no reason or generally failing at stealth? Not helpful. Attempting to team with the killer? Not helpful. Playing for hatch on the last gen when we could still pop it? Not helpful. Opening the gate when someone's on their first hook and instead of helping just waiting for the killer fully-healed at the exit? You get the memo.

On that note, I posted a suggestion about end of match replays the other day. It'd be nice to have a summary of what players were actually doing over the course of a match, instead of just the amount of points they earned. Could function similarly to Alien Swarm: https://youtu.be/4EVzztri6Is?t=735

Do they need a crystal ball to understand I might actually want to play the game I'm playing?

Yeah but a lot of those things can be one of a kind thing, you may get a teammate who blows your gen twice right at the start, he goes away "Hell what a useless guy" then he gets chased and loops the Killer for 4 gens but since he isnt the Obssession you cant really know it or he gets all the unhooks and fixes 2 gens.

Obviusly there are times where you can tell someone is a drag on the team before points but thats when you see them around enough to be sure my post was more oriented towards "not seeing someone around doesnt mean he isnt helping the team" because a lot of people make that assumption.

I had a game where I showed kindness to a survivor team after one disconnected on first hook. They sacrificed themselves to the end game in gratitude.

I don’t like getting pity points and so I also don’t give people the hatch. That’s just me though.

I'm the same. Had an intense hatch escape against a slugging Ghostie on Bedham yesterday that wouldn't have happened if they'd just nodded and led the way.

Entire match dragged on for 15-20 mins, got the last gen to 75 when my only teammate was sacrificed. 2 straight minutes of heart-pounding vaulting and duping in and out of the school, up the stairs and out the window in that house, and circling the entire map until I finally heard the hatch next to the shack. A picnic table was the difference between the 3k he got and the 4k he expected lol, almost got me but he hit the table.

The very next match I looped a Susie once and they threw the game, tunnelled me while the 2 remaining survivors teabagged my corpse, before letting them escape and telling me to "cry more" in chat. I love this game.

They don't need a crystal ball to look on the forums to see that 90% of the posts are complaining about how sweaty the game is with MMR and how most of the players hate the time their having. Some of us just wanna let people relax for a game and get some BP.

Since I've been farming lately I've had this happen SO MANY TIMES. It's so cute, but so tragic. I always realize immediately when they're gonna let themselves die to endgame collapse and shake my head furiously to get them to leave. Alas, they never do.

Another thing I've gotten to experience a LOT lately is slug races at the exit gate. Survivors are so freaking cute when you aren't sweating your balls off to make their games miserable. I was trying to do a Blight daily yesterday and we got the temple map, and we were downstairs in the main building. There's an area in the back of that building where it's just an empty area with a stone wall, and a giant circle on the floor. And I slugged them all and they all just slugged around in circles around me. It was genuinely funny. Then another time I was on the circus map and the survivors would stick their head through the cut outs near Maurice. Died laughing.

If you hate the game so much you'd rather farm than actually play it, maybe it's time y'all played something else. Civ, Cookie Clicker, Flappy Bird... I heard Farming Sim 22's on sale.

90% of any pvp game's forum is vents about sweaty players and how much people hate the game despite clocking 10k hours. It's called not having a life and being salty.
