I don't have the PS5 upgrade available

I just got a new PS5. Played dbd on a PS4 since september 2017, when I bought the game digitally. I should receive a free PS5 upgrade for dbd, but instead it isn't allowing me to select a version and tells me to buy the game again to get access to the ps5 version. It seems that I'm not the only person with this problem, however I can't find a solution. Can anyone else help me out here?

    I’m having the same issue. I have DBD (PS+ version) in my library. There is no way to upgrade to the PS5 version. I’ve tried everything and it’s literally not there. Only option is to buy the standard or ultimate version or download the PS4 version. It’s not under the little dots or on the right above the trophies where it usually is.

    Is this some kind of bug?

    @GameGene Sadly I haven't found a solution yet and even though I've contacted BHVR 2 weeks ago I haven't had any help from them yet.

    Fingers crossed we’ll hear back. Seems like we’re the only two people with this issue. Have looked around thoroughly and can’t find any other instances, which is weird. Definitely should be there too as a friend of mine got the upgrade to the PS+ version ages ago.

    Same here, got the PS4 version from PS+ and just got my ps5. I can't update :/

    Hey all. I contacted Behaviour and PlayStation last week. They asked a bunch of questions about what was happening. I sent screenshots etc. I haven’t actually heard back to say it’s fixed but I’ve been checking over the last few days. I checked tonight and the issue now appears to be fixed. The upgrade is now listed as ‘free’ for me (instead of being directed to purchase it on the PS Store).

    Also, I clicked on the profile of a friend on the app who who playing the PS5 version and that’s when it listed as free. Might be worth giving that a go too if you know someone who’s playing it on PS5.

    Awesome dude! I contacted them weeks ago and they only just asked for screenshots. Waiting for a reply now.

    Yoooo it just worked. I went to a friends profile, went to their dbd PS5 version and clicked the options button and could download it for free

    Ahh cool - they must have realised it was an issue because some of us have now got in contact with screenshots.
