Self care

As we all know it was determined that self care was one of the top “meta perks”. And we know these perks will be undergoing changes which will happen most likely this summer.

But how can BHVR change self care because I feel like the perk is fine when used properly. I use it a lot in solo queue whenever I need to heal myself in certain situations.

I would hate to see the healing speed nerf cause I sure wouldn’t wanna use it anymore especially if the killer is running sloppy or any other slowdown mechanic.

I think it could be a major problem with Solo play, since this affects Solo players significantly, compared to SWF. I'm totally against nerfing something that inversely affects Solo play significantly more than SWF.

Yeah self care is not worth a nerf. If anything it’s a killer perk against 4 solos.

No its not, and that mostly the opinion of people who dont understand math or game mechanics.

Remember, they never mentioned that they will "nerf" meta perks. They will "rework" them.

To clarify the devs have never said they’re only nerfing things in this coming update. They said they’re rebalancing 40+ perks and also making some changes to the basic gameplay to shake up the meta. So for example, they’ll probably be buffing some underused underpowered perks like Monstrous Shrine. And since they commented on how gen slow down perks are extremely popular on the killer side they may be thinking of slowing gens down across the board and then slightly weakening the gen slowdown perks so that all killers get a bit of slowdown in the early game regardless of loadout but don’t become overpowered using the current gen related perks on top of it. And similarly on the survivor side they may decide to do something with healing across the board and then adjust all the healing perks accordingly.

So if they do anything with Self Care at all it would probably be part of a broader revamp of healing perks and speeds across the board.

You can nerf it like this,

Self Care: You always pick yourself up when you fall down.

Whenever you are healing yourself you are immune to aura readings. Leave no scratch marks 1/2/3 seconds after stopping healing.

First time you search a chest you will get a basic med kit.

Is it better, probably not. Is it worth taking? Dunno.

Well... i wouldn't be surprised if they made all survivors able to self heal and self care would buff speed at which survivors can heal to 50% of base speed.

A lot of people are misunderstanding what bhvr is saying, the word rework. For example, Haddonfield was not decreasing the number of vaults or windows, Haddonfield was REWORKED. meaning these perks are going to be completely changed, new ideas to change the meta, not just nerf it.
