Tell me the surivor main... What's going on in your head?

Member Posts: 706

First one.. Calm down

I'm not talking about all the main survivors, but one caste in particular, I'll explain myself just below

It's now been four or even five days with today, or, all the games I play, there are survivors who seem... Completely "crazy"

For example, a survivor is chased by the killer, and another survivor will get in his way (like in the middle of a pallet, window or only passage to get out) and not move, the time that the killer arrives to strike and put him down

This same survivor who will block it, will search for you, make as much noise as possible near you (miss the generators, quickly open the lockers) before fleeing, or even take the killer on you and use you as a shield

Or survivors hiding in lockers when the killer is going to grab someone when they guess that this one is in Chili, and a survivor is going to arrive, quickly get into lockers several times in a row before getting into in front of your locker and try to open it to then flee when the killer is there

What is happening? What is the point? It seemed to me that the purpose of survivors was to work as a team, make your generators, survive and flee, not to sabotage a particular person, or even two...

There was even one, who had fun blocking another survivor in a room with only one exit, and to stay there, the maximum time before he DC because he could not do anything

Is there a new mode of its kind, the goal is to sabotage your team? Not to survive? Or piss off the other survivors? It's really very strange as attitudes, and I only see it very recently...

Remind yourself that these survivors are far and few between. Why they think it's fun doesn't matter. What matters is learning to accept that this survivor is currently in your game, and that you'll just have to live with it. You can't change them, you can't reason with them in post game chat. Learn to deal with it and it'll be less frustrating.

That being said it would be nice if lockers could only give a loud noise notification every 10 seconds or so, vaults became blocked by ANY fast vault after 3 vaults when not in chase, and flashlights could be muted.

They see popular survivor streamers do it or yt videos.

I saw that I couldn't reason with that, I don't blame them, it surprised me to see them suddenly, so often, and that recently

Technically, for my part, the gamechat is mainly there to congratulate the other survivors, if they have played well in my opinion, or when I play survivor, and I come across a super good killer, to let him know.

I don't go being angry, going in insult in a chat ... , but I saw a survivor, once, insult a killer because he failed to kill him, while he himself was having fun, precisely, blocking the other survivors

So I just wanted to know here, what's going on, is it really that recent? Or that the game to consider that my level was identical to theirs and that therefore, from now on, I will have them more and more often?

I wouldnt wonder if this behaviour is connected to the rewards of cocky and bullying tactics in this game that behaviour supports with perks and bp. Some Killers adept their playstyle and its hard dominate them so i could imagine theyre looking for a different target out of boredom and since they are used to this behaviour.

Beside this theory for lobbys including solo q i saw swfs do it for the usual mock your friends reason.

It is funny? Like, I do not go out of my way to sabotage everyone, but if you are annoying me and stupid enough to follow me instead of breaking off, I am not afraid to sandbag. And the locker spams a noise notification for the killer, so I do it when I want them to focus on me. It is not that deep. Survivors still annoy me when I am on survivor, believe it or not. Archive challenges need to be done one way or another, and I choose efficiency... So that I play LESS survivor. It benefits everyone. I am so altruistic.

I can... Understand this point of view, it's clear than, if the other survivor is just a pain in the ass, you do that

But in the case of what I am describing, the survivor who get sabotages are not a potatoes or follow you like a dog

I don't understand the first part... "Some Killers adept their playstyle and its hard dominate them so i could imagine theyre looking for a different target out of boredom" Like... Killer main who play survivor for doing that?

And yes, probably the SWF theory is maybe true..

No more like the usual survivor main bully squad player -> plays some solo q matches and if the killer is not available to get bullied or annoyed in his experience they take other survivors just as happy. To me it seems like these people getting bored by the usual objectives and since they made good experiences with bullying others for fun, because this game rewards and engage it, they fall back into this behaviour. I saw this behaviour happening in survivor main streams and also had games myself were people were like bodyblocking the exit gates and such as well as from the killer perspective like you even though then i punished this person therefore.
