Has anybody ever got Hex: Crowd Control value?

I have been using the perk recently and out of the 3 games I played with it, I don’t really feel like I get much value out of it.

The ONLY time I feel like it actually does something, is at the Killer Shack but only because it pushes the survivors away from that area.

The surprising thing is, it was usually the only Hex perk that stayed alive throughout most of the game.

I really don’t see the point of the perk especially since Bamboozle exists and does pretty much the same thing, maybe even better.

Maybe it needs increased time? Or something else to go along with it because I don’t think this perk is really worth a perk slot.

Does anybody actually like the perk or have got value out of it?

only useful to counter early game T-L walls

Crowd Control isn't that bad of a perk, it's just average.

It can help shut down really obnoxious window spawns, especially setups with more than one window, and it's pretty good for Trickster himself since he wants survivors to take one vault so he can get some free hits but rarely wants survivors to loop around window spawns since they tend to have high walls.

It's alright, but I rarely use it myself.

It's great at killer shack and TL walls, but its hex nature typically means it'll be gone by the time you get utility - because if you chase someone to shack at the start of the game, you're probably making a mistake.

I once had it block a window several survivors were trying to go through - I pushed a group off the gen in the vat room in the Game and only one of them could go down the drop. The rest were stuck in that crowded platform up top and couldn't get past me without taking a hit. But overall, Bamboozle's reliability makes it a much better perk.

I do often get pretty good value out of it early game but since it is a hex it often doesn't end up giving value for long. If you get a good spawn for the totem it's pretty good tho

Thrill is a pretty good combo perk with Plaything or with an all hexes build. Ruin + Undying + Thrill means cleansing Ruin takes either takes 40 seconds or 54 seconds. With Ruin + Undying alone, it takes 28 seconds.

I still say just make it a normal perk

Nah man, killers need anti loop and crowd control would be perfect for it as a normal perk.

Just tweak it a little bit and boom, perfectly balanced perk.

Hex: Crowd control seems to be one survivors hate and will cleanse ASAP

No thats blood favor crowd control feeling when your survivor is just cant loop it 3 times gotta either go to a different loop or drop pallet early

The perk isn’t bad it’s just needs something more to make it stronger. The perk shouldn’t have a duration of 20. Since it’s a hex I think the effect should be permanent until another window gets vaulted. It should be

When a survivor vaults a window, that window is blocked until the totem is cleansed or another survivor vaults a window. Up to 1/2/3 windows can be blocked at once

Great perk imo but being attached to a Hex makes it pointless as it likely be cleansed in 30 seconds (maybe 60) if you pair it with Undying.

It's pretty terrible. It's so bad that I'd almost go as far as saying that even if it wasn't a hex perk I'd still run Bamboozle instead. I'd say if it wasn't a hex it would be on pretty even ground with Bamboozle though. There are circumstances it would be better but in general most those times you are vaulting the window anyway and want the additional vault speed.

Honestly keep it a hex, but make it block fast vaults. So as long as it's up you only have slow or medium vaults. Now that is scary and worth running.

Or another option instead is you could make the windows it blocks me permanently blocked until the totem is cleansed. This gives you some urgency to get rid of it as you are slowly running out of windows available.

For how easy it is to lose hex totems they air on the way, way too safe side with their power levels which is why nearly all of them aren't worthy of being hexes in the first place.

Crowd Control´s effect is a downgrade of Bamboozle, like Ruin is of Call of Brine and Third Seal is to Plaything. (Oblivious is the stronger "Blindness")

Like others have said, it's just a worse Bamboozle. From my experience as a Nemesis main, most survivors don't fast vault anyway. You're better off ruining Bamboozle and Hex: Blood favor for those really annoying loops with added pallet block (if you land a hit). Although, like someone else said, "all hexes are bad"; they are bad once the survivors know, since they might go out of their way to delete it and leave you with one less perk.

The biggest problem I have with this perk is bamboozle is a perk that does the almost exact same thing, better, with the minor caveat that you need to go through the window yourself but the added bonus it can never be taken away the entire game. It's not worth it in comparison. If you are a killer who wants to block windows run bamboozle, don't run a hex perk that could go away in the first 14 seconds of the game.

Wait, people actually get surprised by plaything?, it literally tells you that you cant hear the terror radious so you are aware 24/7, I dont get how can you get caught offguard, even better if you are on a swf since you call call out the killer's position via comms

Yes I do it on a hex build on artist, pentimento, pain resonance, crowd control and play thing.

So many times they try to vault then get downed after they can’t use it again and if they cleanse the totems that’s good because I can go around and do 5 hex totems instantly for pentimento
