Make Killers that reach 3rd Prestige from Perk Tiers get the Distinct Rewards
I roamed around the forums and i didn't see this suggestion yet.
I think players that didn't ever prestige, but leveled up the bloodweb to the level of P3 or higher should get the mentioned P3 Distinct Rewards. If I spent same amount of bps on the killer as someone who prestiged them i think it should compensate for it. I personally have P2 Pyramid Head, who's head looks identical to P3. Calculating my Perk Tiers i came to conclusion i will be around 5th prestige. So why would i get penalized for that? I'm not willing to lose all of my offerings and perks just to get the Distinct Rewards. So i think everyone who supposedly would reach P3 should get the P3 Distinct Rewards as well.
Prestiging is not that awful of a thing if you go for it right away, but with the mentioned update people would lose all of the offerings they settled for and that would be very devistating to players who really want the distinct rewards.
Also, please don't make the rewards a charm, that would be the biggest crutch hit i've ever seen

I think it's important they communicate soon more details about that. It's important that we know because right now we know there will be rewards for P3, but we don't know what.
If it's like 100k bloodpoints, then I won't sacrifice offerings for that. If it's cosmetics, or shards, I probably will prioritize getting to P3.
But right now I'm unsure what's best to do with my bloodpoints.

I think they're only rewarding players that p3'd because that means they've gone through the process of losing all their items and all those bloodpoints going down the drain to be able to be p3, whereas people who have leveled up to the point of p3ing without actually p3ing, haven't lost any stuff or had their bloodpoints wasted. That's my theory behind it and why they'll probably keep it that way.

They actually answered this question already in the Ask The Community tab: It only applies to P3 characters and not automatically prestiged characters.
They already said it's not a charm, cosmetic or currency, meaning it will probably be a newly introduced item.

Yes, so they said what it's not going to be, but it doesn't really say how valuable it will be. Which bothers me quite, as I can't know if I should rush P3 a lot of characters or just up them the usual way by emptying them first.

They've already said it is absolutely not a cosmetic reward in other posts on the forum and used language to downplay expectations - I'm guessing it'll be a BP reward per prestige level per character or something similarly nice but simple.

I'm pretty sure this is the reason - it's a way to placate the people who took the old system for "no reason" other than a bloody cosmetic and lost 150+ levels of bloodweb items in exchange for maxing out their prestige levels. With the system changing they could have gotten those rewards for "free" so giving something else is a nice little reward for having done so. While everyone else on the catch up system is rewarded with retroactive prestige on the new system, so everyone benefits. The people who prestiged because prestige was "status" to them or whatever other reason get something unique still for having done so, and those who didn't want to lose levels don't and still get the perk unlocks.

I can recommend doing it the way i do. Focus on P3 licensed characters while getting rid of offerings on next priority characters.

BPs are a currency, they already confirmed it will not be any sort of currency including bps, acs and iri shards

Well if it's not a currency and it's not a cosmetic, then I'm expecting a nice pat on the head and a non-committal thumbs up. 😁

As some already mentioned, they're only giving the P3 distinct reward to those who actually prestiged because they actually had to deal with losing items/offerings/perks, then likely maxed out on top of that, whereas the ones who simply maxed out and spent the equivalent amount of bp even though they didn't prestige didn't do that. You actively chose not to prestige. People who did prestige chose to. So I agree, you should only get it if you actually prestiged and didn't think "prestiging was a waste of time," or whatever your reason for not prestiging.
People who didn't prestige but maxed out are still getting compensated. Your characters will still prestige automatically, likely to at least P3, and you will still have the perks unlocked at tier 3 for those characters. So you're not getting "punished" for choosing to not prestige, and are still getting some sort of compensation. Its that, people who DID prestige to 3 are getting rewarded. But again, those who didn't (by choice) aren't getting punished. But I'm seeing a lot of people phrase it that way. "Why are we being punished because we didn't prestige?" You mean, why aren't you getting the thing, for the thing you didn't do, that others did? I'm not taking a jab at anyone, I just don't understand the "everyone should get a trophy" mentality here, or why people don't understand why they're not getting the reward when they didn't prestige.
The distinct reward is likely going to be wack anyways. Thats the expectation I'm setting at least, since its not going to be another legacy variation or any other cosmetic, and they're choosing to be secretive about it. I mean, what else could it be aside from a banner that displays in the lobby? It COULD be something else, something cool, but I'm keeping expectations low.

It's not really about being punished or not. It's the fact that we find out only now people will get rewarded for wasting their time and offerings prior to update. People didn't know there would be a reward so no one was P3ing. So yes, i wouldn't say it's fair. If you P3 a character you will get in 50 levels around 4 puddings and 1 bps, so if you burn your offerings right as you reached 50th lvl - you don't lose much. So now this is unfair for people that still had to go through the god awful system and level up 300 times to get purple BBQ on a killer, why are those people not getting compensated for spending so much time and bps on it? And since those people might've reached realitically 6th prestige to get perks now they will have to lose all the offerings and perks they grinded in order to P3 and get new distinct rewards. Because of that they would not get prestige compensated either so they will be P3 even tho they are P9.
I for example prestiged pyramid head to P2, because his P3 cosmetic looks exactly like default. Past that i leveled him up to 4 pages of purple perks. I would reaslitically be 5th or 6th prestige and rn i have 20 cakes (had 100 but i play him a lot). Which if i don't get rid of before update i will have to burn in order to get distinct reward.
My point is that P3ing a character doesn't lose that much bps and offerings and if you go for it right as you get to 50th level it really doesn't take that much from you. However now that we are told we get rewards for it it's unfair for people that without prestiging put all their bps into getting every perk. Those people will have to lose so much more grind in order to get P3 distinct rewards and that seems to me absolutely unfair. Those people still suffered from old teachables system and still lost time, effort and bps because of the system. So why are they getting not punished, as you say, but refused a well deserved compensation?

And about the banner, i honestly would love that solution and would go through grind to separate myself from new killers that didn't go through old prestige system if it was the reward for it.
