What's up now lately with the gen rushing and leaving
I've been in many games lately and all that's been happening is the survivors just gen rush and leave some not even stopping to troll what's up with it and also some are even hacking to win now. Why?

Because everyone plays like they're on Team Oracle now thanks to MMR. Hard split on gens, hold W, pre drop, leave immediately. Game is in a terrible place right now

Only escapes matter for MMR. Also Daily and Tome challenges that require survivor to escape to complete.

So they can get more matches done in a day? I honestly don't know tbf. But I'm glad about the teabagging survs leaving immediately
6 -
Yep. 3 gens popping after downing first survivor is awesome 👌 sigh
6 -
If people are actually not doing dumb touchdown dances in the gates so the match can end sooner I’m all for that.
8 -
I only care about escapes, so I'm doing the gens and getting out

What does that tell you? You gotta play like the killers they face.
I have pretty much stopped running gen slowdown perks on some killers and run Deerstalker instead and play a more aggressive pressure match. I found running and kicking gens all match was boring and will not get you the win against these type of teams.
You gotta play like the comp killers. Comp killers will slug and camp at any moment to put pressure on em, and if you want to compete in this game you must do the same.
My advice, take off gen slowdown perks and adjust your playstyle. Take off ruin and put on noed. Stop fighting for gens all game kicking and running back and forth with pop.

I play solo survivor when i play survivor. Half the games are with killers that hard tunnel and/or camp.
It just takes so long to learn, so now if i go into a game i asume its a tunneler/camper and the best way to punish that is genrushing. Seems like a lot of other surivivors feel the same.
And i only wait at the exit gate to make sure noone needs help. When i know all are save, i leave.

its a vicious cycle caused by the game design.
Survs do gens as fast as can to get out
Killers camp and tunnel to combat having 3 gens done by 2nd chase.
repeat

seconded, the sooner they leave the sooner i can start another queue to get into another match so i can get some bp and shards.
i dont really mind people leaving as soon as they power the gate, its always been super annoying to me when survivors stickaround longer than they have any reason to. especially when they're just standing at the gates, like at least let the killer hit you so everyone gets more BP if youre gonna waste 3 minutes of all our time.

It's unfortunately true what's worse is that its hard to break the cycle

I guess find it fun playing gen fixing sims.

Really, is it just from more matches, I honestly have no idea this just started happening so suddenly, and yeah, I'm glad they just leave to there's no need to troll in a game that was only 3 minutes long
0 -
Same, I don't know how many games I've been in, where they've been literally standing at the gate, tea bagging or staring at and trying to flash me just so the matching go on longer
1 -
Its very competitive now because of mmr, people just want to escape, and people just want to kill. I feel like gen speed and the amount of camping and tunneling in this game are at an all time high.
2 -
Will dearstalker help? I've had NOED on my killer for a while, but I never thought, dear stalker, would work I've just been putting Gen slow down perks or discordance , so I can see whatever they're Gen rushing

Literally, I feel like that's exactly what's been going on like the gens have been flying, and I find myself just wanting to get a kill, this MMR is crazy now
1 -
This is a really good point too. For solo players, the safest thing is to just blast through the gens and leave. The game doesn't give players enough info to do anything else in a consistently rewarding way unless they run weaker builds. You have to run weaker builds to do a sub-optimal thing in an optimal fashion when you play solo queue.

Best way to sum up what's been going on now!!!

I am not much of a Huntress main but I know some of the best Huntress run end-game builds and not much gen slowdown, watch Coco the master S-Tier Huntress Gameplay | Rank 1 DBD Full Match - YouTube
For example on my clown, I run a sloppy/deerstalker build with no gen slowdown and have fun just zooming around downing people and start hooking once pressure is applied, never really worrying about the gens. I prefer the faster matches, win or lose. Running back and forth in a 3gen kicking with pop was getting old and extending games too long. I do like the pain res/dead man switch combo still on some killers too, hard habit to break and I like the explosions when hooking LOL

Thanks, this is really great help. I'll watch the YouTube video and pay attention to my huntress build more, and maybe I'll even start playing a little more clown lol

It's the extra exp event. People are likely trying to get enough shards to unlock the new killer and survivor.
0 -
Ohhh is that's it Iv just been buying them if I really wanted a killer but I understand some people can't spend money
1 -
The quicker survivors get the gens done the less chance they have to interact with the killer. I've noticed when a mori is played survivors tend to do gens much faster because they don't want to see their favorite survivor get brutalized to death.

I can understand that, but their only option is just to gen rush? Or even use hacks in the games to win?
0 -
Maybe you made it to a high mmr? That is just how the game plays up there unless you have an altruistic group.
0 -
I'm at a silver 3 ,I don't know is that high MMR ??
0 -
Impossible to tell. The ranking system is garbage to begin with and it resets every month. I am just saying that you do not see efficiency or mmr preservation at lower ranks. And it is very easy to climb as a killer. A few too many 4ks and you might genuinely be playing against high mmr survivors.

I see what you saying, it seems MMR is just impossible these days
0 -
I guess they are at Iredescent 1?
0 -
People play to win, nothing wrong with that in my opinion regardless of side. Sticking to gens is simply the smart play.
1 -
Lol not every survivor
0 -
Ya but gen rushing?? And all that does is increase camping hooks
0 -
why not?
0 -
Because every single game and every single survivor?
0 -
Solo-Q mindeset bruh
0 -
I'm Iredescent 4 on survivor,
u gonna claim that's impossible?
0 -
Dude what no??? No one claiming nothing,What are you even taking about
0 -
Thankfully it isn't too common for me but it -is- very annoying the few games I get 4 survivors who just wanna slam gens and run Spine Chill so they can hide whenever I get near. At that point why play the game since you outright don't want any interaction with the killer.
2 -
It's a product of mmr ranking up being escapes only blame the game not the player
1 -
However, i think that is a misconception by killers.
When i play killer, and i lose 3 gens while just having that one hook, i do feel the same. But there are plenty of games where i started snowballing then and got a 4k out of it still, without camping and tunneling.
To me, it all depends on personal skill. Camping and tunneling is something you do if you are outskilled by the survivors (at least thats what i do sometimes). If i feel that i have a fair game (or even have the advantage, that happens too) i can play the game how i think it is intended to be played.
I think the problem is that killers are often matched against survivors at a higher skill level (both due to a lack of killers, as well as having inflated their kills and ratings by camping and tunneling).
But some killers go for the easy route anyway, even if at the same skill level.
But they rework perks and look into the reason the perks are used, so who knows whats up in the future.

Gotta get that one escape and turn off game for the day vibe.

What killer do you play? Certain killers seem to get more DCs or survivors killing themselves on hook than others, so it might be that you play a killer these teams don't like so they want out of the game asap and genrushing is how they choose to do it?
It's possible it's the double xp but I thought xp is based on how long you're in the game, as well as your emblems, so it'd be in their best interest really to not rush and actually play
0 -
It's happeneds to me with all killers iv been playing different killers a lot lately because I thought there was no winning with huntress but it's just the same with all
0 -
People only care about winning. Fun? An involved game with tense chases and rescues? Nah, just hold M1 and leave.
1 -
What am I talking about?
JW: "I guess they are at Iredescent 1?"
HM: "Lol not every survivor"
JW: "why not?"
HM: "Because every single game and every single survivor?"
If that's not claiming nobody is Iri 1 than idk what it is...
No interaction, no adrenaline, no horror game aspect, no bloodpoints, no emblems,
yet they do it out of simply "winning",
wow, congratulations I guess...
It is a viscious cycle, killers can break half the time but "give up",
you see, even games where the first 4 gens are instantly done, can be won,
without NOED even, simply by using everything the killer has...
Well, if them doing gens is that big of a problem, you can run a build that tackles the problem,
a very effective and annoying build is Scourge Hook + Dead Man's switch,
sure, they can let go of gen, than continue, but than you walk to the gen and it's hard to hold M1 when the killer is about to be in lunge distance,
or better yet, Huntress can already throw hatchet at you.

The chicken and the egg issue... people camp and tunnel so we gen rusb, people gen rush so we camp and tunnel.
People play to win, there is nothing wrong with it.
