Hello, everyone.

First of all, I want to tell beforehand that this is NOT A TROLL post. I know it is common belief the game is survivor sided and survivor is easier role. I won't argue with that, but hear me out.

I'm trying (and I even could say "tryharding") to get this last achievement for more than half a year, and I'm completely desperate. Playing survivor for me is super stressful and depressing.

This month I tried again to put a lot of effort into survivor, grinded to Iri 4, and stuck on that for a week alredy. And 13th of the month is very soon.

The usual scenarios are these (in order of probability):

  1. I'm downed and tunneled/facecamped to death. Depip.
  2. One of teammate is tunneled/facecamped to death. Teammates dawdle and don't do gens, I manage to repair two, that's not enough, depip.
  3. One of teammates doesn't like something and ragequit. 3v1 always a loss and usually depip.
  4. Teammates go do crazy book challenges, throwing the game fast.
  5. Killer is really good and keep constant pressure. That's a fun game, and even if it's almost always a loss, not always lead to depip, but almost everytime no more than blackpip.
  6. Killer is new or not skilled, but learning and don't camp. This is the only scenario where I can get some pips.
  7. Teammates are SWAT SEAL commados and looping prodigies, playing the killer like a fiddle. That could also get me a pip if I'm not interfering and play support role (I usually do most of the gens, unhooks and heals by myself). This is the rarest chance, I was matched with such survivors only a handful of times.

I made post about it few months ago on Steam, but people either mock me, or discussed how that is impossible, or gave advice that, sadly, are not that something I don't know already.

To show that i'm not pulling your leg, I add link to my Steam profile, where progress is shown.

I watched lot's of YT streamers (Ayrin, Naymeti, Dowsey) and still cannot get what they do that I do not.

As a killer, I'm trying to notice what survivor do when they give me a hard time and when they are easy to slaughter. Could only say that hard time is only with the extreme gen efficiency and super-highly syncronized actions.

This achievement will soon drive me crazy. Playing survivor is painful by itself, and getting to rank 1 is like crawling naked on broken glass.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Hello, everyone.

    I'm asking for advice.

First of all I want to state that this is NOT A TROLL or BAIT post. I know there is a common belief that the game is survivor sided and playing survivor is easier role. Just hear me out.

I tried (can even say "tryharded") to get this achievement for half a year now with no success, and I think it soon will drive me crazy. Playing survivor is super stressful and depressing to me.

This month I put a lot of effort into survivor again, got to Iri 4 and stuck on that for a week now. And 13th of the month is very close.

Usual scenarios are these (in order of probability):

    1. I got facecamped/tunneled to death, therefore depip.

    2. Teammate got facecamped/tunneled, other teammated dawdle and waste time on unhooking, throwing the game really fast. Almost always depip.

    3. One surivor doesn't like something and DC. 3v1 almost always a loss and depip.

    4. Teammates do some crazy book challenges, throwing the game superfast in a process.

    5. Killer is super good and creating tons of pressure. This is the fun games, also almost always a loss, but not always lead to depip.

    6. Killer is new and learning, but not camping. This case get the most pips.

    7. I'm matched with SWAT SEAL commados and looping prodigies that play killer like a fiddle. If I'm not interfering and play support role (do most gens, heals and unhooks), it could result in pip point.

So in general, on red ranks I get popints in 10-20% of the time and depip in 50%.

I made such topic few months ago on Steam, but people either mock me, or discussed how that is impossible, or gave advice that, sadly, nothing I didn't know already.

I watch many famouse YT streamers and still can't figure out what they do that I don't.

As a killer I always try to notice what survivors do when they give me hard time, and when they are easy prey. Can only say that hard time only with extreme gen effeciency, super syncronized teamwork or sloppiness on my part.

If anyone want to be assured that I'm not pulling his leg, link to my Steam is in my profile (looks like I cannot put any links here, post immediately got deleted), there progress is shown.

Any help and advice highly appreciated. Thanks in advance! 🤗

    This is what I do.

Convince a few friends to buy the game or play with some that are super low mmr.

Kick a baby killers teeth in.

    Repeat until rank 1.

Interesting idea. If only I had so many friends playing DbD. The one SWF I had stopped playing because of (quote) "constant humiliation". They moved completely to custom game (KYF), then stopped playing at all.

But the thing is, they need not only to have low mmr, they have to have some skill too, not to crouch in a corner whole match. And low mmr with high chance give you campy/tunnelly killer.

The main problem is that SoloQ is cursed. Maybe when you get some good team mates ask them if they would like to play with you again. You don't have as much controll over the match as a single survivors, which of course makes ranking up a bit tricky. The most important thing about this whole Grade ystem is that you can lose and still get a safety pip or even rank up when you lose. Try to at least get the safety pip every time by going out of your way to get a few extra points when you know the match is lost. Also remember: Your Grade doesn't effect matchmaking so you might get a very good killer when you're still in ash grades or a bad killer in red grades.

Also, low MMR survivors must have some skills too at the same time, to not crouch in the corner, at least. And low MMR will give you campy/tunelly killer with high chance.

I was really afraid to hear that, frankly, about SoloQ. Looks like SWF is really the only way.

About loosing: it works perfectly on ranks below red, but on red I have to do SO MUCH stuff. If I did not survive, I had to do few gens, two unhooks, heals and also win some chases. It's very hard to do consistently, especially with campers, DCers and trolls.

Sometimes I escape, but still depip, because did not have a chance to do enough. Black pip starts in the middle of the perfomance bar on red :(

I don't play survivor much to be honest. I feel more in control as killer and that is definitely reflected in the grades. I wouldn't say it's super easy for killers but you have more influence on those things. But until the grade system gets a slight rework or SoloQ gets less horrible I can't give you much better advice, sorry. Right now you get red emblems if you don't play efficient as a killer and and as a survivor. Doing more than 2 gens means someone does pretty much nothing all game or the killer has insane gen regress. Same for killer with the hunter category. You want that on red? Well, don't just down the survivors as fast as you can. It's clearly much better to let them run you for a while, then hit them and let them go so you can find them again later on, fully healed to repeat that. Same goes for hooks. What am I supposed to do when someone dcs and the next kill themselves on first hook.

It doesn't really make much sense to me right now. It feels like you are not supposed to get your pips unless the match was incredibly hard or you didn't play in a logical, efficient way.

Yeah, I know, right? Killer pips are flying. I don't remeber depiping more than two times ever, and red 1 comes super fast. And yes, that's the core of the thing that make me feel survivor depressing: i'm dependant on others. Survivor team is like a cardboard house, one is doing bad or ended up in a bad spot, and all falls down.

In solo queue it is much more difficult as its largely populated by potatoes. If you have friends to swf with then its much easier even if you lose. At least you can manage to do more to pip than you would in solo where your team are doing nothing and the games end quickly.

Yes, sadly it seems, I repeating myself, the only viable option is SWF and thats frustrating...

Pushing to rank 1 is just harder to do as a soloQ player. DBD is weird that way as your personal actions have an upper limit to how much they matter and the closer you get to rank 1 the harder it is in general to pip due to multiple factors, but what will hold you back the most is scoring as you need to really start getting near maximum point values in each category.

If you want to get the achievement you will likely need to start or join a dedicated premade team

For some reason this post reappeared just now, but I've already made another one, because thought I messed up with some forum rules.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/326588/rank-1-survivor-badge-is-almost-impossble-to-get#latest

My mistake, I hope moderators remove this.

I also play Solo Q and it can be really hard.

For people with normal jobs or not gods like here all around it is absolutely not easy to get to the highest grades.

As the needed points go up for the higher ranks simply escaping is not enough. And in a lot of games you just can´t gather enough points.
