Survivor skill prioritization (self healing over repairing on 99% gen) and deep wound mid chase??

Ran into both of these issues in the same match, had a gen at 99% and took a hit with the intention of finishing the gen yet instead of tapping the gen I start to self heal myself in a CoH boon, how is this issue still not addressed? It would seem obvious that being mid chase that I obviously wouldn't prioritize self healing over touching the gen so why does the game automatically default to the self heal? It cost me the gen and I go down anyways, quite a problematic issue that has been around for ages similar to self healing after taking a hit on hook to prevent a grab which actually was fixed.

Quite literally right after that I was of course tunneled for trying to pop the gen in front of the killer and was saved by a BT hit and proceeded to bleed out mid chase, how is that even a thing? Am I expected to mend while simultaneously mind gaming the killer on a pallet? I was under the impression that the bleed out timer doesn't progress mid chase yet what seemed to be line of sight interrupting the chase for a brief second I ended up bleeding out, that's ridiculous and the timer shouldn't go down as long as you're in the terror radius period.

    The Bleed Out timer does not deplete for as long as you are running. It has nothing to do with Terror Radius or being in chase, for as long as you are sprinting you are good (it used to function differently in the past, but that was exploitable by Killers to cheese chases by moonwalking / having stealth based powers, so it was changed).

    If you are standing still however, yes you have to mend.

    Nevertheless, you still got a good amount of freeway here, as the timer will stop again as soon as you start sprinting again, meaning you can still mindgame with normal walking / standing still, its just on a limited timer - and if this timer completely depletes on a single pallet, I dare suggest that maybe this was the Killers intent in this scenario? Maybe they were actively playing around the knowledge that you were running on borrowed time (pun not intended) and you didnt notice until it was too late?

    This isn't often an issue for me.

    All in all, keyboards have dozens of keys to choose from - it's sort of funny that the devs have streamlined everything through 2-3 buttons.
