Stop leaving immediately
Seriously. I looped this trickster for 3 gens in solo que, and with how long it was taking them to do gens I say it was worth six. Anyways, they immediately leave and don't even TRY to help. I ended up dying and having the second lowest points. You know, when people say solo que teammates suck, they aren't quite far off. If you immediately leave your teammates when they did exceptional, your a scumbag. And ofc the trickster was all smug about getting me in endgame chat.

Well my friend that’s why we play in swfs. Because In a swf. That would have never happened
10 -
Yea sadly I don't have that many friends who play dbd on a daily basis.

My personal survivor tier list on how good of teammates they are
4 -
Don't do the prestige 3 bills like that. :c
2 -
Hey! Do you know how many times I've died so my team can escape? Kate is on a tier of her own.
2 -
As a quentin and ash player this is accurate
Gens gotta be done, and if its almost finished I'm not leaving it until the killer comes, or its completed, especially if the killer has ruin
1 -
That's valid.
0 -
I mean, I've been sandbagged and left to die on hook by mostly Kate's, so maybe I was too generous with that ranking 🤔
0 -
The amount of games where i had to keep saving peoples asses and they keep dropping like flies is too high, so I tend to just stay on the gen, as I'm fed up of soloq
3 -
You haven't seen my Steve yet, I sacrifice myself on a daily basis so I can get those MoM Stacks.
I'll sometimes get off a 90% Generator while the Killer has Ruin so I can take a hit for someone

I find Kate and Bill to be the most varied. Kate's are either the nicest survivors ever or the most selfish twats I've ever seen. Bill's are either veterans or really inexperienced with very little in-between.
The rest I largely agree with but there's always exceptions.
1 -
Sir, you bump Cheryl up that list this instant.
1 -
This is so accurate I laughed
1 -
I play all my survivors the same. Yes Kate is my main and I really only play others when I have a ritual or challenge for them but I always play any survivor I use the way I play the game. Its really all about the person and not the survivor.
1 -
It is but at the same time certain characters lure certain personalities and most people play the character that is drawn to them the most. It's like any generalization. It's not always accurate nor is it proper to make an assumption like that based on a person you've never met but there's usually 'some' truth to them. It also varies from region to region.
As I'm typing this I just came off a game where I was running kindred and a Kate was teabagging in my direction while I was dying on hook waiting for me to die. Despite me saving her twice and taking a protection hit for her. Thanks.
What this notoriously stupid comment from the dev fails to recognize is that the individual loses but the team wins which is a massive issue in solo play but less when with SWF. In most team games even when its not coordinated and it's a bunch of individuals with a mutual goal, you can win the game for your team by sacrificing yourself and not getting much in the way of 'score' and still feel good about it. This isn't true in DBD. As a solo player if you die you will feel as if you lost even if your team wins.
Chasing someone for 5 gens is bad play on the killer. This is also why camping is such an issue because its most of the time bad play from the killer, unless they are counting on the altruism of the survivors to waste time but most of the time the best play is to simply ignore it or have one person attempt the unhook. You know where the killer is and can do generators. At the same time though 1 is better then 0 for a beginner killer and so the cycle repeats.
Despite this, the individual on hook still loses and on top of that doesn't get to play at all and the killer also loses in this scenario. Anyway that's massively off topic but that dev comment is so eye roll inducing.

trickster is strong at camping hooks. Your teammate were making the right play. Some players refer to trickster as ranged bubba. Trickster has no wipe animation cooldown when using throwing knives and near unlimited lethality in his main event/throwing knife mode.
Trickster burn's healthstates and borrow time like butter.
Saving against him would just lead to more kills for the killer. Until facecamping becomes less effective overall, especially in end game, you can expect teammates to leave when the gates are opened. This will likely occur more often when Decisive strike & Borrow time will evidently get their negative changes in 40 perk rework update and you can also expect more camping to occur when Corrupt intervention, Scourage hook Pain resonance, Pop goes weasel(Popular generator defense perks) are put to rest in the inevitable future.

They were not.
They had multiple opportunities to stay behind and bodyblock/take hits while being 100% safe.
But I guess we'll never know because the Bill and the Kate left immediately.

No 💅🏻

The role of survivor implies surviving but nothing obliges the survivors to collaborate permanently to get out of it.
But you can use Kindred and BT , kindred not only gives information to survivors, it also allows you to monitor them, each monitors the other and no one can constantly hide well on people can ignore Kindred but at what cost ?
0 -
Survivor is literally team based.
0 -
I leave teammates behind if certain killers are camping and I don't trust my other teammates or I'll leave immediately simply because I don't like a particular killer. Trickster fills both those reasons.
0 -
Blame MMR you get points for escaping, not saving in the end. They should give survivors the same amount of MMR points for every escape, and same deduction for number of kills. That would also encourage facecamped survivors to stay on hook all the way instead of suicide or DCing. So yeah I agree with you.
1 -
Change the Bill for "farms you without BT even though it's his perk and doesnt try to take a hit". That's all the bills i get.
1 -
No, it can be team based. People can play selfish all they want. This got worse when the devs decided to have escapes be the win con for survivor.
0 -
No, because if we remove ranks and blood points, nothing prevents survivors from abandoning their allies to get out for sure.
0 -
Yes and no.
The group is useful to the individual and allows him to increase his chances of survival, but the individual is not useful to the group.
So we can sacrifice 3 people and get by or sacrifice 1 person and get rid of 3.

I play Nea/Laurie/Nancy.
you dying on hook bro
0 -
I will always literally die to give my teammates a chance of escaping, unless I have an escape challenge that requires you to do something before escaping. yesterday I did the "get a blue glyph and escape" challenge and had to leave a Nea to die bc i wouldn't have made it out if i saved her, I bought her as much time as I could so my teammates would save her, but they didn't and I still feel bad about it.

I tried saving a teammate during end game collapse once and paid the price when the killer had blood warden, so now I leave as soon as the gates are opened
2 -
With mmr considering you dying for any reason a loss there's no real incentive to do end game saves.
2 -
If you're playing solo, there are times when you need to draw aggro, and times when you need to try and drop aggro.
Don't be afraid to run the killer to a teammate in solo, especially if the gens are about to be done/have just be done.
Also, don't be afraid to leave if the killer has NOED, you suspect BW, etc.
Playing alone requires a lot more thought, awareness, implicit/natural coordination (that YOU usually have to make happen), and nuance.
0 -
There's no incentive to do so. Morality means absolutely nothing, so don't equip Hope on that.
People are saying SWF.. They're right. Quite literally, SWFs are one of the only ways to die and still have fun. Rarely do you earn VERY low playing SWFs. However, my problem is i have a hectic life. Once a day i'll be playing DBD and have to leave because I got called into work. If i'm active in a game I have to either AFK or DC. So playing SWF is pretty much out of the question. I have no choice but to choke on playing Solo.
I stopped trying to find friends in this game some years ago. I just get removed from the team or given a hard time because I can't play when they do all the time. My real life comes first(unfortunately :))
1 -
Kate mains unite. I will sacrifice myself to get my team out. Even if someone's being camped and I'm on death hook, I will happily make that trade so they can escape.
1 -
Nice Kate mains definitely need to be recognized. They have their work cut out from them from where I sit. They do exist for sure but there's a fair amount of horrible ones that make me cautious whenever I see one. Why such people would want to play someone as wholesome as Kate is beyond me...
1 -
I will literally suicide myself so someone doesn't die on first hook, especially if they did a lot during that match or carried it. I don't care enough about escaping to let someone die who really deserves a chance at escape. A good teammate who carried the game shouldn't ever be left behind, and as a Bill main, I'll take a suicide mission if that means I can save someone else and let them escape.
1 -
You've made a dangerous enemy this day, Adam Francis :|
1 -
Nothing stops them now. Especially in OP's scenario. The better play for rank and points is to leave.
1 -
Jane and Nancy can be thrown into the bottom tier.
1 -
That really does suck that they left you. I always go back for people, even if I'm SWF.
1 -
The thing is, most bills I see will try to take a hit (but fail xD)
0 -
I try to make the most sensible play. If there's like 2 of us left, and I don't see them running for the exit for me to body block, I run out so hopefully they get hatch. If it's a killer like Trickster, Huntress, or Leatherface camping the hook, I don't care how many survivors we have, I'm probably leaving, because otherwise we're gonna end up giving them a hook trade and then some.
1 -
Oh you back to forums? Wellcome back.
And yeah it is pointless to save against Leatherface. But Trickster and Huntress are not that bad.
0 -
I'll probably just make passing comments like the one above. I'm not down to talk about balance anymore.
0 -
I mean, why would they? They have no incentive to stay and help besides to be "nice" which going by the BM amount, a lot of survivors aren't.
Even on the BP side you're risking the amount you get for escaping by going back in.
0 -
Im gonna post the match so people like you stop posting dumb takes like this.
0 -
thats why you leave gate at 99% before you save
0 -
Right, it's honestly sickening that people are defending these teammates. U should've escaped, I 100% deserved it.
0 -
Funnily enough this Meg almost killed me today by bodyblocking the exit gate open thing asking for a heal while a very furious Blight sprinted at us. Somehow the Blight hit the wall between us, and she opened the gate and we got out, but dude, the clutch.
