So excited for the new chapter tomorrow
I feel like I'm the only person super excited for Roots of Dread tomorrow. But honestly I always get really excited when new content comes to the game.
Even if her perks are kinda meh in terms of shaking things up. I'm still excited for Haddie the Baddie and already have the cells to buy her and the shards for a cosmetic piece or two. I'm also excited to go against Dredge. Admittedly, I didn't watch a lot of the PTB, so I didn't see too much of the map. So I'm excited to experience that for the first time as well.
Anyone else excited? If so, what in particular has you hype?
I'll say Haddie, Overzealous (I'm SO excited to add it to my totem builds.), and Dredge are what I'm personally looking forward to the most.

ps: you dont miss much on PTB.
I played 1 single match as Dredge,... logged in roamed around the map for a bit, whacked a couple of survivors didnt really play the match just tried teleporting, chased a little when I saw the survs but mostly just trying out killer mechanics....
what did get in end game chat?
"EZ Baby Killer" "Hope you get some rank 20s next match" etc...
I was literally afk for like 2 minutes because que time was like 15 minutes.... ptb is horrible experience imo. I dont even consider it real matches but the surv teams on there act like its comp scrims LOL

Me too, I managed to acummulate a little over 3m Bloodpoints (How exactly I reached this number is beyond me), plus 3 dailies to redeem, and a few challenges to claim. Time to spend EVERYTHING on Dredge and get Adept asap :v
@DrDeepwound Imagine going through the whole trouble of downloading, installing, setting up and queueing for PTB matches just to play it exactly like you play on live.

I like any new content so I'm pretty hyped up.
Haddie's perks definitely have room for improvement and I'm glad we're getting a new map!
The pre-set load-outs are what I'm looking forward to the most tbh.

I am excited for Dredge, i love teleport type killers. And he is coming with unique stealth power. I loved him in PTB.
But Haddie? Another Nea. Mikaela was last good survivor. After her, Haddie is another garbage survivor.

Dredge looks fun and Iβm curious to see what the live version is like since they mentioned it will fix a couple of bugs from the PTB, notably that on the PTB the darkness during nightfall had too large a radius in which survivors could see (itβs only supposed to be visible to something like 15 meters is what I think they said but on the PTB it was visible a lot further than that.)

I'm looking forward to Residual Manifest, and the locker perk since I hate looking for hiding survivors. Residual Manifest just fits my playstyle like a glove, I've been running an Ace Plunderers Appraisal build in search of flashlights, so this perk is straight up perfect for me. Gonna be so awesome to be able to hoard flashlights.

Have they fixed the "this darkness does nothing to make maps darker and the killer is highlighted in bright white from a country mile away" on the PTR? Or did they just keep things bad and we have to hope the 'fixed' version is actually okay?

I'm like super stoked for it honestly. I think Haddie just looks really cute. <3 I got about 200,000 bloodies to spend on her already, and I'm gonna try and earn some more tonight! I tend to like supernatural detectives, so her backstory seems really interesting to me. Also, having a new map added is exactly what I was dreaming of.

the thing I'm most excited is to finally claim the bloodpoints I've been storing at the tome to invest on the new characters. Also a bit anxious because by my math I had enough shards ready for claiming to finish the rift precisely, but with the double XP oddly enough I've passed the threshold by a good bit.Β It is silly but I can't not feel awkward knowing that I will have too many extra shards by the time I decide to get 'em, but I also couldn't refuse taking part on the double XP boost soπ

Surely some random perk wont get bugged like stbfl wont lose stacks after hitting the obsession or self care causes ALL actions to be done 50% slower.

Are you talking about rift fragments? The double XP event only gave a boost to getting shards, not fragments

Honestly Haddie and Dredge are both great, their perks aren't super good right now but hey - there's always a weak area in all chapters. Plus they aren't completely worthless, they're fun perks.
The new map looks good but I'm not sure how it'll play, especially on live.
I'm also really excited for the upcoming event thing, those masks look amazing.

PTB over here is usually really laid back; it's really interesting to see the differences in regions for PTBs and general playstyles

I know I know, but with that in point, I end up playing more games and consequently getting more fragments. But also, maybe I just didn't notice before, but I've been getting like 3 fragments per match (sometimes even 4 no joke), which is like 1500 xp for the rift (I never realised it gave this much before, even after they changed the values), that felt kinda insane compared to how it felt in previous matches and rifts. Not arguing tho
