The one problem I have Dredge

Good killer and everything the one problem though is his ability it's the fact it can snap out of it easily and get a hit and doesn't have a down side like he can't hit straight away or its movement speed isn't lowered when coming out of its ability for a short time I get people would say then your just making it weak and so on but shouldn't there be a down side. Because you have to directly run into the portal thing but it can just snap back to it the killer is overall fine its just that one problem of there's no downside to its ability when just using not for teleporting shouldn't have a slow down or just a moment where it can't hit?

The downside is you slow to a crawl while holding the husk in place, giving the survivor plenty of time to hold w out of the loop rather than get stuck between the dredge and his husk.

There are other counter plays I've had used against it, but that's the simplest.

    He isn't loud

His tells are when he's close

    Slow when not in nightfall

He can exit lockers and break locks with no cooldown with a basic hit

He can just waste the resource because people constantly lock lockers

I'm only complaining about his speed because I can't tell if he is slowed but he is also relatively new so I have to get used to it but the points you made can be just simple answered.

    Nightfall doesn't happen that often

Survivors don't fall for his anti loop, at least in my mmr bracket.

Who wastes resources? the survivors i face only use one locker bolt at a time and it forces me into that locker.

I have not been able to surprise a singe survivor since he came out.

BHVR's reasoning for nerfing Pyramid Head's Rites of Judgement fake into M1 by giving it a cooldown was because they said it was a lose-lose situation for survivors, and they were spot on. Currently, Dredge is the same way. He suffers no downsides for using his power, whatsoever. Giving him hindered movement speed by teleporting back to his husk should be the first change to his kit, and should be implemented in the Mid-Chapter patch.

Nightfall doesn't happen that often because it would be OP and there are add-ons to increase the rate it happens

Because people start to get the idea to leave the loop which means that's Anti loop

Also people are getting used to it at the start a lot of people bolted near generators soon enough bolting them will be rare but usually will happen near 80% of the gens completions due to Tinkerer

For surprising a survivor if you mean them opening a locker for that grab then it makes sense it's like facing Ghostface once you realize it's Ghostface you know what to do look around constantly for Dredge once you know your facing it so you don't enter lockers Dredge is more made for map traversal

    "No downside"

"Moves at 3.68 M/S when channeling"

Sorry, not every killer needs to come with legion/nurse levels of counters on top of counters on top of self stuns.

Not comparable. Pyramid head could hit you through pallets and windows. If you pre drop against dredge, it won't get a hit. This didn't work against pyramid head.

based on this statement then they should have modified DS too cause in the endgame it's a lose/lose situation for the killer (you downed the unhooked survivor who bodyblock for their teammates or unhook himself, you can't pick him up and he can crawl to the exit gates without problems), but we know well how they work on that matter...

This specific wording you used makes me want the old Hillbilly power back :(

(the base power, not the OP addons)

The difference is that Pyramid Head can hit through pallets and vaults, Dredge cannot. Also Dredge has no range.

Dredge doesn't need more slowdown as if he messes it up then he's on the otherside of a loop with his power recharging and his recharge outside of nightfall is pretty long.

Not to mention he's slower than survivors while channeling so if you see him place a remnant you can just leave the tile.

If the Dredge is forcing you to play the tile against his remnant and placed the remnant correctly so he's looking at you when he teleports back then you were outplayed.

Survivors just need to get use too it. It sometimes seems like a lose lose situation but only if the survivor isn't paying attention to where he placed his remnant and which way he was facing while doing so.

He's not looped in the traditional way like most M1 killers are
