SoloQ is broken
I play survivor solo. I die in 9 out of 10 matches. I must have low mmr. Why am I playing against tryhard killers who have 1500+ hours and who understand the game so much that escape is impossible? MMR is supposed to make the game interesting, which is frustrating. I'm willing to spend more time rebounding than constantly losing. Developers, do you play solo yourself?

Sorry to hear that but can I ask how long were you qued for?

I always find matches almost instantly. The queue is always less than a minute.

That is really odd then unless you play insanely off-peak or something. If someone is qued for an ungodly amount of time they will get matched regardless of MMR but it is often the other way around with killers having an instant queue and Survivors waiting for ages to find a match.

Currently I have to wait as killer more than as survivor probably because new killer but still bit odd but at night time I think don't have to wait as killer but more sweaty swf survivors.
2 -
That's why I say. I'm ready to wait 10 minutes, but the match is interesting, not dead in every match, with a chance to get into the gate.

Solo is broken in most team games.
I played lol, rocket league, rainbow six siege and others and being solo is always a hefty disadvantage and the second main reason i quit most of those games.
If you don't have a team, you can't expect to win above a certain level and that level is sadly way to easy to reach.

You're probably unlucky you should not face killers that good. But you can still try to improve there is videos about how to loop killer in yt. I play some soloQ to do rift challenges and some matches killer just dominate and there is nothing you can do. But some matches I can make difference looping the killer enough so some of us can escape. I think I survive 1/3 or 1/4 of my matches. But when I play sfw with my friends I survive 1/2 or 1/3 of my matches.

so you can find the info here:https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/319692 But when they did bidirectional matchmaking (aka more of what you are after) queue times in their words was " Longer queue times were an understatement; some players were experiencing exceptionally long queue times (15 minutes+)." I don't think they have ever turned it on again.

This can be fixed with just one option in the game settings. Something like a long queue, but with accurate matchmaking, or fast, but less accurate. Everyone will be happy. I can wait a long time, others can't. Everyone would have made their checkbox.

Here we have another game. According to the set of perks, it is made for solo. SWF broke everything. As a result, alignment with SWF made the game unbearable for solo players. SWF made the game unbearable for killers.
2 -
while this is a good idea I don't think it will fix the long queues or slove the issue. This is a I can't play with my friends core issue peak time to I can't find four other players to vs off peak time.

This might solve the problem. Crossplay is an option. Accuracy matchmaking could also be optional. For a solo player, the MMR should be compared to the killer's MMR, not the average of all survivors.

Devs dont play solo Q, they have each other to play with, that's why solo is the dumpster fire that it is.

I almost exclusively play SoloQ and I've noticed the type of teammates you get depends a lot on the time of day! If you're the last survivor to join a lobby or if you notice 3 survivors get added to it at once, I'd leave it. Because SWF's mostly don't care about the random.
Another thing that could help is trying to play the game more stealthy and sometimes just be more selfish until your MMR goes up and you get paired up with better teammates.

That's the reality of SoloQ. I also die in 8 out of 10 games, it's so predictable, I don't play DBD anymore because of that. DEVs don't care about solo.

I can’t believe how long it’s taken for solo q to get buffed. Tired of using perks that SWF gets for free.

My games today have been so miserable it hurts.

Shrug. I always have fun playing survivor, solo or not. Dunno what yall are doing wrong.

I'm quite the opposite in escapes, but this will happen in games where theres no actual decent SBMM, lack of killers and just people not playing properly. Not to mention people that derank and smurf
Personally 80% of losses aren't because the killer made us lose, usually it's the people that DC or dont do gens that make me lose. Realistically they shouldn't be in my games but it's what I expect with the bad SBMM

For me, as a survivor, it depends on time of the day. Mornings and afternoons I'm usually in a lobby between 10 and 30 seconds. Night time is longer, can take up to a couple of minutes. Weekends are probably the worst for me in terms of SBMM. It honestly feels like my MMR is redundant on weekends.

True all games are bad in solo Q but Dbd is worse, solo q is really a slaughter and BP gain is too low, it's a shame cause it's my favorite role but it feels pointless right now, I can just play killer with BBQ and gain 3x more BP even if I play like a monkey

Solo Q is definitely bad. You are basically asking to lose in the game right now. The survivor objective is too difficult compared to that of killer. I lose 9 out of 10 matches as well and still get Blights loaded with the killer meta that basically mop the entire team with 4+ gens remaining.
It is very imbalanced right now due to so many survivor nerfs. We need alternate ways to escape. Finishing 5 gens is too much, especially for solos.

Everytime I see someone say "I always have fun as survivor in solo." I have to wonder how much they're being paid.
8 -
That's not what makes me wonder, it's when someone says "I escape most of my solo games". When you look at message history of such players, they are always killer-mains. What a coincidence.
5 -
Yuuuuuuup. 8 times out of 10 it's a killer main who I assume is trying to downplay how bad solo queue is, because they don't want solo queue buffed.

In the past they used to say "SoloQ is fine, I win most of my solo games". Then it turned out they meant "I pip most of my games", yet they were not satisfied when they just piped most of their games as killer with 0k or 1k. Now they say "I ESCAPE most of my games". They adapt.

I've become a mostly killer main due to the state of soloQ. I don't agree with people who say that killer is the most stressful part of the game, because soloQ is way more stressful to me and I'm having more fun playing different killers. I get to play sweaty or chill, and with the right attitude I generally have fun regardless of the pace of the game. The killer que is so short I almost immediately hop into another game. I feel like every game in soloQ I have to play sweaty to get any reasonable BPs.

Well if one side has the incentive of playing with friends and the other isn't, while playing alone, satisfying enough and more stressful and micromanaging on top of it then you need at least some incentive to even play it. Hence why they finally are going to implement the additional BP incentive for the role with less players. And it is going most definitely the killer side during prime time.

How about running information perks, instead of the ds, dh, bt, iw cookie cutter build. The information you get out of blood pact, kindred and aftercare is amazing. It almost seems the game is balanced around that and not bully squads on discord.

I just stopped playing until they fix solo queue or get rid of MMR lolol

If survivors had 5 perk slots, there might be room for an info perk.
Removing a very critical perk for a much worse perk is like going in the match on a wheelchair.
2 -
Maybe take self care off sluzzy
Use the information perks to find a teammate and get healed instead. Win win
