Generator progress is red when 2 or more people work on it?

So when I play dead by daylight and 2 or more people work on it it turns red. It wasn’t like this a couple months ago but now I’m just confused. Why does it turn red? Does it go slower than it would if only 1 person worked on it?

No I dont think so. I have noticed this too. At first it threw me off. I think they changed the colors of the progress bar. You definitely still repair faster the more people you have working on a gen.

Just going to copy paste what I said on a similar thread.

The bar turns red when two people or more are on the same generator, thats intended. This is because generators have a small penalty to speed repairing when more than one person are on them. For instance, one Survivior is repairing a generator alone (no perk effects or items) at 100% speed. Another person joins, and one would assume its 200% speed. But because its lower than that (because of said penalty), like 180% speed (just an example, not exact numbers) the bar turns red.
