BHVR, why is there a 1 Million Bloodpoint Cap?
I recall hearing it was because of hackers.
Anyone know for sure why there's a 1 million BP cap?

Presumably so you can't save up 12 million for when a new character comes out and get all the perks on them instantly.
Of course, that 1 million cap is only for earned BP. Points you get through codes or log-in bonuses break the cap. I, for example, haven't played in six or seven months and am at 7 million BP from the unprecedented number of events they've been throwing out to bandaid the state of the game.

Wow that's quite a break. I think the max I had was 1.3 or 1.5 million.

I have read about both reasons: either hackers or so that you can’t immediately level up new characters to the max
both reasons seem a little outdated, especially with codes and challenge bp that you can actually store.
also these are Rookie Numbers.

Wow . . . that's a lot of extra BP.
I wish BHVR would just say the real reason. And I agree with you. If either of those reasons are the real reason, it seems outdated and unnecessarily restrictive. So what if I want to instantly level someone up? That should be my option.

It's literally a reason for players to keep actively playing, if you can't save up BP then you have to constantly spend & gain in order to not hit the cap. It's a sneaky trick but it's got a lot of people hooked.

If that's the real reason, that rubs me the wrong way.
The bloodpoint cap has never been a factor for me in deciding when to stop/restart playing the game. Obviously, I can't put my personal bias on others, but I'm struggling to see how the BP cap would be that influential for most people.

Didn't they say they were gonna increase it? But nothing has happened yet and they haven't announced it coming any time soon. I'd like to at least be able to have 2 million saved up.

It's the only logical sense to me. The BP in general is a sense of progression in the game, to get items, perk tier levels & more and if people could just keep stacking BP then they wouldn't need to boot up the game daily. It's an easy trick into getting people to open the game up and spend a few hours and bucks.
Yeah I get what you're saying & what I'm saying is not factual but I'm just trying to look at it from their side and it only makes sense to me in that way because capping currency that you can earn is absurd especially since they won't let you cap auric cells. Trust me alot of BHVRS logic is just ???????

I wonder the same, i managed to get 2 million blood points in one single gaming session. It's kinda stupid to have a max that is so low you can max it twice in 1 gaming session.
