i miss when dead hard wasn't as dominant in the meta
I don't know why, but after it became so meta you are very likely to see 4 each game it just ruined the fun of the perk. I was one of those people who really loved dead hard as a perk even before hit validation was added even if it failed to work sometimes. Now it's like old ruin for me where when I see it I just think of how daring the survivor is for picking the perk everyone uses now, but at the same time, I can't blame them it's just that good.
I guess what I'm saying is, that I miss when it wasn't there every game because I can't use it anymore just because of how awful it feels to play against like noed, and old ruin was to me. Like even as someone who can absolutely say dead hard was my all-time favorite, I can admit when it's time for some changes, no perk should be that used.

When Balanced Landing ruled the exhaustion meta, at least there were times where a survivor would simply not be in a high spot, and therefore got no use from it. It did needed that nerf though.

Dominant, more like omnipresent.

You mean when people were exhausted on the ground and you all didn't complain about it because it didn't affect you till it was fixed?
Yeah I remember that.
The perk has always been meta.

But now it needs a buff it's garbage.
2 -
It is far from garbage. Running faster than a killer is incredibly op.

Yes thats what most people said as the reason why it wasn't the best perk in the game I remember defending dead hard a lot saying how you could get the most value from the perk its just not consistent, but the value you did get when it actually worked was amazing.

I miss when people used to have skill and not a panic button that prevents them from loosing a chase

The reason DH is more of a problem now than it was before is because back then people had insta heals, removing insta heals and the ability to take more hits make people afraid to taking hits at all, that's why DH is extremely valuable, you're removing the possibility of getting hit.
Insta Heals were a 1 time use thing, DH merely has a timer that goes down while you're doing a gen. FREE REAL ESTATE. Insta heal would make people make mistakes because they could afford a mistake but that's just 1 mistake, DH offers you the ability to make INFINITE MISTAKES.

The perk has always been this strong and frustrating to play against. The only reason it wasn’t used before is because it was a buggy mess of a perk that didn’t do anything half the time. I miss when 3-4 people weren’t running it every game too. But let’s not act like the deadhard meta was because of a community thing.

it would be an OK perk if SOME people used it, but now that it's baseline, it's overpowered and I can't wait to see what they come up with later this year regarding dh

Can't really blame people for using it when it's much better than every other exhaustion perk, although I admit it gets annoying when 75% of people use it when I play killer. The remaining 25% use either sprint burst or lithe.. and on the rare occasion balanced landing or head on.
It would help if they add some quality of life improvements to the weakest exhaustion perks. People would still use dead hard the most but it would at least up the rate of other perks being used. Head on and smash hit need to be combined with other perks to be useful, and balanced landing is too situational. I'm not saying to not change dead hard, but I'd rather they look into making other exhaustion perks better (even if slightly)
