Please remove Dead Hard
If there's one thing you should've noticed by now it's how meticulous the developers were in carefully measuring the distance between pallets (and hooks). There's been countless updates tweaking number of and distance between pallets over the years.
It isn't a matter of Dead Hard being too powerful or not. It's a matter of, this game was not and currently is not designed with Dead Hard in mind. The loops, pallets, windows, everything gets turned upside-down by this perk.
The game was never meant to have Dead Hard in it. Please, do not nerf it when the 6th Anniversary patch debuts. Remove it.

Well the 6th Anniversary patch is already out. Also, why do people keep thinking the developers are actually going to remove a perk? They won't. The best you can hope for is a complete rework of the perk (if a nerf isn't what you're looking for).

Yes please, toxic perk

Yes. Tweaks *over the years*.
It's almost like Dead Hard is not a new addition, and has been around for five years, giving the developers plenty of time to adjust the map design accordingly.

Not yet, I'm talking about the patch where they said they were going to rebalance "over 40 perks."
I mean, it took them 6 years to give Trapper a second trap, and like 3 or so years to kneecap Object of Obsession. Is it so hard to believe they'd drag their heels on perk balances or not design things around them?

Remove NOED first. See? I can have controversial opinions too.

When they removing Camping and Tunneling then they can.
9 -
That's not controversial. That's an easy trade.

Happily, no killer who is even high enough rank to go against survivors that have Dead Hard still uses (or at least, needs) NOED.
Tell you what, I'll throw in a freebie: Survivors get Dead Hard as a free fifth perk if playing against a Blight, Nurse, Hag, or Spirit. Sound fair?

Slow clap.

For real. If givin this choice I would take it without ANY second thought. Yes please! Maybe take another perk with you, giving NOED up actually feels like cheating, if it gets rid of DH. Really, just name your price, I will be willing to pay it. I can work around the loss of ANY perk, if it nukes DH out of the game.

if we can also remove nurse and blight (the 2 Tier S killers in the game) from the game im all in, for the meantime those killers are lacking realistic counterplay specailly nurse and blight with certain addons so no.

Survivors should get Dead Hard as a free fifth perk against Nurse and Blight, honestly, as a killer main. But against poor sacks like Myers and Pig it just feels brutal.

There is no such thing as removing the perk now that it is is the game. Dead Hard is here, and to be completely honest it will probably always have some sort of ability like it does now. I can see reworks for sure, the easiest being removing the invincibility frames or the distance so you don't have both.

Noeds power comes nowhere near the power of dead hard when used correctly.

Honestly, make it an item, like an adrenaline shot. An item that on use just Dead Hard's you (assuming you're injured). It would provide a lot of counterplay options as killers could run Franklin's, Overwhelming Presence, etc, and know to run them if they see the item in the lobby. Meanwhile survivors could play around with other exhaustion perks, because why the hell not, let the adrenaline shot stack with Sprint Burst. It also limits how many times a killer can be dead-harded in a match to the item's remaining charges.

Right, baby survivors have opinions too, but Behaviour shouldn´t take them seriously. Comparing a totem perk to a 40sec CD perk that resets every time you get hooked is something only a noob without knowledge of the game would do :)

You can't remove perks from the game cause the game isn't meant to work without them.

Remove Nurse first, a killer who has literally no counter EXCEPT dead hard. I've lost track of the amount of matches I get versus a competent Nurse and the only reason I don't get slapped with a blink is Dead Hard, and that's only if I time it right so it's not even assured.
It's hilarious that you would suggest removing a key perk that provides the only tool in the entire game to counter a killer with no other counter play and that's once every sixty seconds at best but let's be honest you're never going to escape a chase vs a competent nurse.
Just lazy to make suggestions like this with no key arguing points, how about Blights with add ons that make any sort of movement irrelevant? Oh what's that? Another killer with only one chance at avoiding an M1? Damn better remove that one off so we can just go down and down over and over again against over tuned killers with one single form of counter play from ONE SINGLE PERK.
If you wanted to be taken seriously you'd suggest how certain notorious killers that are widely known to have no counter play could be reworked themselves so that a perk like dead hard wouldn't be the only tool in the game to deal with them.

They won't. They are just going to give you one of two evils that will still leave it overpowered but slightly less so.

didnt know running a perk was toxic

I won´t miss it if it was removed.
It probably would make the game better. -> or - make it a one time use.
P.S. you know that you can disable NOED from even activating once - where can i deactivate Dead Hard again?

I don't think this would fix the issue. If anything, stacking it with another exhaustion perk would make it worse. Everyone would run that item and stack it with something like Lithe or Sprint Burst so now they have the speed boost plus the invulnerability/distance from the adrenaline shot.It only takes the use of dead hard one time to double a chase. Plus you would have to then find a new use for Dead Hard. They won't remove the perk. It is as simple as that. People need to accept the fact that perks in this game are here to stay (with the exception of the ones turned generic from licensing)

If they remove dead hard people are just gonna run sb, and I loathe dh but I can't imagine dealing with 4 sb in a game. And there hasn't been a single perk that's been removed from the game so good luck if you think they'll delete it.

I would concur *to a degree* in that DH is currently badly broken (as acknowledged by the devs) and I would very much support it being killswitched until that fix comes in - however sadly I fear they've lumped it into the "Too hard, we'll fix it when we do the major perk revamp".
For those unaware, once they switched DH to dedicated servers an issue has arisen in which DH "eats" a killer's power. The classic example is Nemmy's tentacle.
- Nemmy uses his tentacle over a downed pallet attempting to hit the survivor on the other side of the pallet.
- Survivor uses DH and gets away without being hit (Working as intended)
- The pallet does not get broken (not working as intended).
There are several other examples with Twins etc. So regardless as to anyone's feelings about how balanced or unbalanced DH is, I would most definitely like to see this major bug fixed ASAP. Given that it took BHVR 3 years to address Nurse's issues, I am sadly not holding my breath.

I mean I've said twice in this thread that you should just get Dead Hard as a free fifth perk against Nurse, Blight, or Hag. I also think it's kind of implied that if you remove Dead Hard you'd have to fix Nurse and Blight. But Nurse has been a problem for 4 or 5 years, they never figured out how to fix her and I doubt they'll ever really try.

Maybe remove invincibility frames, it would make it a lot more fair, and dead hard would actually still be useful in loops for example, It'd still be the strongest exhaution perk still imo. I honestly don't know how else they could nerf dead hard, maybe nerf the distance but be able to avoid the attack still? I think I'd actually rather take that, then being able to gain another 3 minutes to a chase cus I was able to dead hard to a window. (I play both survivor and killer equally, so the pain on killer side, but also it's insane strength for survivor side I've experienced many times) We will see though, I trust behavior will make the right choices with the 40 perks rework.
