Would You Like If Noed Rework to This?
It will not be hex totem anymore and it will have totally different power. My suggestion is this:
Whenever generators completes, this perk will get stack (Max 5 stacks). For each stack it will give you 2% movement speed (10%) max.

You can kill them tho.

Base movement speed is something that's very powerfull. I think this would not work because it would 1) be OP, 2) be trash.
Same problem has the last Boon that came out. 2% is trash so no one runs it but if you buff it could be OP on some maps, etc.

You can kill them before they go to gates
This is fair. I do wanna rework NOED from unhealthy state to good perk. Perk has cool name.

I can't imagine most people run NOED because it let's them walk faster...

Extremely broken, base speed is one of the strongest stats on the game, thats why subtle hackers are so hard to catch or loop, add to that your suggestion has no way of fighting back against the speed up since is not longer a Hex.
Because its a 5% after all gens are done, its just the "participation prize", this change would be a 4/6/8% after 2/3/4 gens for the rest of the game, which is big.

Eh, 8% more movement speed with one gen left to repair would be busted in my opinion. But I do think NOED really could use a rework.

This would be stronger than current NOED. That's a permanent stack of bloodlust after 3 gens and 2 stacks at 5. Add on STBFL and bring a pallet buster, and yeah, have fun running from that.

Movespeed can get really out of hand quickly so I'm always hesitant to give move speed on either side.
I'd rather it just relight 3 random gens when the last gen is completed if they didn't cleanse all the totems. Basically making them do 1 more gen if they ignored totems.
This gives you more time to make skilled plays instead of just free downs for nothing.

I'd suggest it gets a stack per remaining totem, then...
At 1 stack: It grants 1% movespeed per stack.
At 2 stacks: It grants instadown.
At 3 stacks: It grants aura vision on survivors within a small radius.
At 4 stacks: It blocks windows you vault through, permanently.
At 5 stacks: Reveals all survivors, and blocks the exit gates.
Just make it so that you don't get the full benefit of NOED if the survivors DID break totems, they just missed the one godspawn.
Also requires camping nerf, since NOED is a massive enabler for camping.

Wait so you just get a base 2% increase in movementspeed for each gen that pops?
That sounds very broken.
- It will mess with anyones musclememory and singificantly affect looping
- There is no downside to having this
- There is no counterplay to it
I think the Perk should stay a Hex with its strength varying based on how many Dull Totems remain when the last generator was completed.
My favourite idea for it is to make it into a Juith's Tombstone for every Killer with the amount of kills you can get from it depending on the amount of NOED Totems on the map (Dulls turn into NOED totems once the last gen is completed). No more oneshot (instantkill instead, so no slugging), no more movementspeed increase, more fair counterplay for Survivors.

I misread it, I thought the speed boost was for after the gens completed (NOED and hooks just determining how zoomy you get to be at the end game).
Then yeah, this rework to me isn't going to work. That would be such an insanely delicate balance that I don't see how you could possibly balance it. Have it a little too slow and it's worthless. Have it just a little too fast and nobody has a chance against it. Which wouldn't be so hard if you then didn't have to do that balance 28 times at the same time (since a speed boost on Myers is going to be very different than a speed boost on Nurse which will be very different than a speed boost on Bubba)

Why not 1 gen per uncleansed totem?

noed is already weak to anyone with brains enough to do bones.
The problem with endgame is the boost they get when you hit them gives them such a large area near they gate they feel godly. On most maps if you can see them and the gate and the gate is open it isn't worth it to bother trying.

Yeah I agree, imo base speed is one of the stats that shouldnt be meddled much with, same as vault speeds or wiggling, its ok to have one or two perks that affect them, especially if they are either soft or have harsh activation conditions (Hope for example requires all gens done) but as you say is very easy to break the game by touching them.
There are things better left untouched.

That would be an interesting idea but %10 extra speed is too much imo. I would decrease the speed boost to something like %5.
