Pretty sure it's actually blacked out in the model viewer but you can mod it to view it.

I am old RE Fan - i don´t care about Ethan. Mostly because of the first person i can´t relate much.

RE7 doesn't even have a model viewer and that's when Ethan was introduced to Resident Evil, so if RE7 doesn't have a model viewer, and his face is blacked out in RE8 then they never actually show his face until this 3rd person game mode they're adding.
