pig chasing while bear trap timer still ticks
so, we have a pig now who can chase you around the map without actually engaging to keep the timer on your bear trap ticking until you just die now, im pretty sure this isnt intended but this is quickly becoming my least interesting killer to face these days go for trap removal she just downs you, loop her around the map you die anyways eventually. what gives?

I'm not quite sure how to this could be fixed tbh, as from what I've seen the trap will stop ticking when actively engaged in a chase or when you can fully hear the chase music. But that wouldn't account for the time where the killer may be off you for a bit then coming back to chase you. Mostly this is an issue if you're getting chased near your last cage for the trap, at least that's when it's the most pressing in my experience.

I think the trap timer should be reduced, maybe to 2 minutes, but it shouldn't tick down or be allowed to pop if pig is within 16 meters of you. That would solve this and a lot of her tunneling issues.

Maybe it's time to rework pig. Remove the head traps and give her a stick bomb so she can remotely blow survivors up.

I was playing Pig yesterday, and the timer was still pausing during a chase. Stupid question, but are you sure the game actually registered you as being in a chase?
They did that before but without the timer reduction. They ended up undoing it because it amounted to giving the Pig a free upgraded Whispers basekit, enabling her to tunnel the Trapped Survivor pretty reliably.

What's the issue? well she's standing next to you she's not chasing the others. How is it different from hook camping?

They probably should, they're garbage. You'll be lucky to get 1 go off in 50 Pig games.

I had three go off in the span of four Pig games yesterday, including two in one game. ;)
I understand that OP is alleging that the timers are bugged to still count down while being chased, but at the very least, from my POV, they appeared to be functioning just fine.

Pig honestly just needs a redesign. She and Sadako are perfect examples of why an instant RNG death ability means you have an impossible to balance killer.

if the game doesn't start the chase music, u technically aren't in a chase so the timer will tick down
