Give us MORE than just generators to fix!

Fixing generators is getting a bit boring for me. Don’t get me wrong, nothing satisfies me more than scoring those checks and the “ding” sound of finishing a generator. But I really really think the devs could do more for us. It’s starting to feel like I’m playing a “fixing generator sim” with horror elements.

I think we could add (at minimum) 2 more types of object to fix in order to power the exit gates.

1) Computer terminals

2) Fuse boxes

Both could operate the same as a generator but have different sounds and “explosion” sounds, like a computer terminal being worked on would emits sounds of typing and beeping, and an error would lead to a loud alarm sound for a second.

They could also take longer or shorter to fix with more skill checks or a different kind of “mini game” than the generators. Or they could be more hidden than generators so would be difficult to find, say, a fuse box that’s tucked away somewhere. This creates more tension and pressure for the survivors.

What does everyone think? Won’t the addition of two more things to fix along with the generators make the fixing process a bit less repetitive and give us more variety?

They tried, with Hex: Undying, which gave killers a random chance to keep some of their otherwise easily-destroyed perks around for a few minutes, which forced survivors to seek out hex totems (or have one of them bring a totem-finding build). Survivors either didn't go totem hunting or complained endlessly about totem hunting, so they completely overhauled the perk to make it way, way less of a secondary survivor goal

They tried, with the Cenobite's Lament Configuration. An objective one survivor has to do every 2 minutes, clearly marked from across the map in a random spot that the killer cannot see, with full survivor control over when the killer gets any chance to follow up. So many survivors just didn't do it, they had to nerf all of Pinhead's good addons, (and give him a terrible on-use power), and people STILL don't get the box.

The vocal majority either does not want or cannot handle anything more complicated. Everyone who can handle it and wants it has already quit.

That...'s not the reason Undying was changed.

It was changed because a hex, aka ruin, could live all cleansing done on it if you were lucky. It was just annoying, when ruin would just not die even if trying (kind of like how boons now work, amazing ain't it?). Same with Pinhead.
