Can't remember when last time I saw The Spirit
What happend to her? I mean she is still very good, has good add-ons. She is still in top 3. Why so few people play her nowdays? Even Sadako has probably bigger chance to see than her lol (in my games at least).

I assume people heard "nerf" and literally could not jump ship faster if they tried.
Which I guess means we know who liked playing Spirit and who liked standing still.

Because she got dumpstered with too many nerfs. She's no longer comp or swf sweat squad viable.

With good add-ons you still can have big chance to stand againts serious SWF groups imo. Her base kit is still better than most killers.

I actually saw one today lol. But most of her mains dropped off the face of the earth because she was actually counter-able instead of just being able to stand still as a 'mind game' she's still a great killer if you know how to play her, but whenever a killer gets any type of nerf, everyone ditches them for no good reason.

You're essentially forced to run speed addons as the only thing she has going for her now is trying to move faster than the survivors can react. Even with those I don't agree, outside of her ultra rare maybe.

That isn't really saying much, most killers are pretty bad.

Well there is really no reason to choose her now, her power is boring and not even *that* strong compared to good killers.

I saw one a couple days ago. The one game in a year where I took off Iron Will and it was a Spirit.

You should be grateful lol. Spirit's changes didn't really do much to her, it doesn't really matter that you can hear her coming if she's going to zoom next to you and hit you anyways. Just makes her feel bad to go against.

Her biggest problem is that survivors get infinitely more info on her, then she on them. You hear this very loud voooshing sound when she is zooming about, yet unless they are running you don`t see marks and Iron Will, a rather meta perk, completely shuts down her other major detection tool.

I think the changes did a lot. You can now tell where she is coming from. That's a big deal. Most hate towards her were because of you didn't know when she is using her power and where she is. Now you have both + bit weaker addons.

I personally don´t play her anymore because yes, she has good addons, but now she needs those addons to be viable. I disike such dependencys, because they are not always availible and i tend to play different killers, so i rather skip her.
Also, i dislike just running in circles, but since her nerf she does just that, while other killers have better options.

Iron Will nerf will make her viable again. I tried to play her time to time but no, i can not take this IW users. It is so hard and i am baby Spirit.

pre nerf or post nerf spirit always needed addons cuz she isn't that fast basekit and her cooldown is too long are we gonna pretend every spirit pre nerf didn't run speed and duration?

Iron will pretty much killed her for most of the people who used to play her as iron will completely removes any audio while injured.
They also toned down the ability for her to stack add-ons that modify the same things. (still waiting on the blight addon nerfs bhvr)
I personally fine that she plays perfectly fine. She was even my go to for grinding iridescent grade and was my most played killer last season , as I found that she still can consistently 4K no noed or stacking 400 regression perks.
I just slap agi+pain resonance and call it a day.

Funnily enough.. i don't play spirit but this one story reminded me, it also put a smile on my face,
There was a comp spirit player who was the best spirit NA or EU (Forgot the name but i'm sure other comp players know the name)
She was always so perfect with the phases like she read the survivor,
...Turns out she was hacking and had Walls even in phase to see the survivor..
It was kinda funny to see her get banned mid-tournament...

Before her entirely justified nerfs, she was seen every third or other game. I'm very happy rarely seeing her.

Survivor mains got what they wanted.

Most Killer mains only play killer, and if they do play survivor they won’t face many Spirits. Even if they do, even less will actually take the time to apply that experience and use it to their advantage when playing the Spirit.
My point is, Spirit is one of those killers that you need to play against to get good at. I don’t think many people bother to do it though.
