Why can't you see hook stages and player grades anymore?
When was this removed?? Was it because players saw very different rank grades and thought the SBMM was not doing its job or something?

It's just sad, I wasn't against being matched with Red rank killers or survivors and if anything it made me more proud to get a 4K or Escape.

I can't speak to hook stages, as far as I'm aware you can still see those, but player grades were removed because it gave the incorrect impression that they had anything to do with matchmaking, and therefore that "rainbow ranks" meant the match was unbalanced even in cases where it wasn't.
It was a good change, in my opinion. It may not be as much of a problem for current players, but newer players would very justifiably assume the grade had something to do either with the matchmaking directly, or their opponent/teammate's consisten skill in general.

Ranks didn't mean anything anyway, so players derived faulty information from seeing ranks. SBMM could have been working perfectly (not saying it was) and the ranks would have been all over the place, causing players to whine about SBMM indefinitely.

Killers never were able to see them. I think they should tho.
It's usually only for worse when they don't see them. I have tunneled a lot of players by accident just because I am too lazy to remember who I hooked. If I want to tunnel, I do it by name anyway.
