Theory about the early P3 rewards
MY THEORY: if you P3ed before the changes your icon is silver, number indicates the amount of prestiges you have done to that character, the claws around are your proximity to lvl50

Again it’s my theory, because this makes sense with what they have been saying of what it would be, but I hope I’m wrong and it’s something better :(

Nah, these are prestige tiers of levels imo.
1-5 gray, 6-10 orange, etc.

Same. I prestiged every character I actually care for, but now, I will just get all perks on them and forget about the others if the P3 reward is... that.

I don’t think that will be the reward. They said they want to give prestige characters a border I believe along with a distinct reward. I could be wrong but it’s just that then it’s not worth getting to p3

The tweet is about the new prestige system and one of the DBD Twitter answers is like, 'It's not ranks' (to someone who was happy to see ranks back in the end game screen). Unless they're teasing something else...

I could have sworn that I saw they wanted to give players a postgame border. And then they stated a distinct reward. I got 15 characters at p3. I grind for the reward. If it’s just this it’s not worth the grind sadly

I feel you, I prestige all my Survivors for now, I have like 17 of them, and one Killer. I was about to start Killers but now... A border would have been nice. I was expecting a border, maybe I've seen your messages on the forums. I remember seeing something about borders.
I won't prestige anymore until we got more news because for now, I couldn't care less about the reward.

I mean nothing was ever gonna make me prestige before the updates anyway. I'm not throwing thousands of items away on everyone.
But this is likely to work like the emblems do, so prestige 1-10 will be bronze will small entity pieces, 11-20 will be bronze but more entity pieces and then 21-30 will be silver and small entity pieces etc.

Without knowing what the rewards are there's 0 incentive to prestige right now, especially knowing that the new system won't steal all your items from you.
And knowing that the reward is not cosmetic is even less enticing.

This is why I wish they would just say what the reward is already so people have time to decide if they feel its worth it. Not "here's what it is... now you have TWO WEEKS." They're supposedly letting us know later this week but the anniversary event with the 106% flans will almost be over. If it really is just a silver emblem, that would be very wack (I don't think this is what it is though). I'm sure it IS going to be maybe some sort of emblem separate from what people will get who didn't P3 (maybe also some shards for every p3 character maybe, cuz why not?) but I didn't notice that one emblem in that photo was silver and was numerically close to the others. If that really was a hint to us for what the distinct reward will be, very disappointing, and this was knowing it wasn't going to be something big like a cosmetic XD.
I would have at least hoped the emblem/border would have been colorful, maybe even slightly animated. Oh well, we'll see this week. Even if the reward is wack (again my expectations aren't too high knowing what has been confirmed), I'm going to P3 every character anyways to unlock the perks. On top of that, its no risk to me personally bc I only have discontinued event items on my already P3 characters anyways knowing I didn't want to paint myself in a corner putting those on non-P3 characters but then, in the future being like 'damn I wanna P3 so and so, but I'll lose those items"
EDIT: so afterthought, if the distinct reward is an emblem they hinted at in the picture, it could be the opposite. The silver could be the regular, and the brown/gold/red/green could be the distinct reward emblem. Wouldn't be super hyped about that one either but miles better than the silver one.
