The ONLY way to SAVE this game.

I have played this game for years as a Killer and play all the killers.

The only way to save the game is to shift the power balance from:

Killer Win = 4 kills

Draw = 2 Kills

Survivor win = 4 Kills

And realise that it should REALLY be:

Killer well = 4 Kills

(50%) = 2 escape

(10%) = 3 escape

1%) = 4 escape.

Happy to adjust bloodpoints where needed.

==========================================

People should be dying way more in this game and that is where the needle NEEDS to be. Every killer should have access to a Mori kill to showcase all our fantastic licenses, and the killers!

    I can't speak for everyone but kills don't equal thrills to me

    I've had some super fun matches where everyone escaped. I've had super fun matches where I was killed. I've had miserable matches where I've 4K'ed all those snot noses little bully punk survivors. I've escaped in a snoozefest of a game where I ran the killer silly and it was clear they were just a smol lil baby killer facing survivors way above their paygrade.

    There is no fear anymore - it should feel like you accomplish something getting out.

    It should be a 4 man for killers, but bhvr isn't going to make killer an actual power role.

    Just look at the killer nerfs, especially deathslinger, he got nerfed hard just because he was good.

    The whole community realised that years ago already. Killers complain about getting smashed by SWF, soloQ survivors complain about being smashed by Killers. Everyone except for good SWF teams is unhappy in DBD.

    Now we just need BHVR to understand that.

    Regarding the OP's post - it's total BS. Survivors already die way too often. Hopefully you will never become a game designer.

    Solo Q Survivors mostly complain about their teammates. When you loop the Killer for something which worth one or two generators, to see the auras of your teammates crouching around... Or when the three of them work on the same generator on the opposite side of the map while you're on the hook and no one moves... Or that Survivor who DC at five generators because they got downed in five seconds...

    Double standards in action once again.

    The average performance of players in any game is the result of game balance. If it is broken, you will complain about your teammates. Otherwise we can apply it to SWF too. if you lsoe against SWF, complain about yourself being a bad killer, don't blame it on game design.

    I'll tell you a secret. If game balance for soloQ will be fixed, the average soloQ survivor performance will "magically" rise.

    So what happens when game balance is designed around one side being inefficient and unskilled? You create a hierarchy of outcomes in which said side will have extremely disporportionate success if they do not have those flaws. The problem becomes exacerbated due to the egos of all 5 players involved, and how they interact.

    Not saying expecting a 4k every game is good either, but any arguments about balance being used to justify the current direction is a bit of a joke tbh.

    I genuinely believe you guys are just a bunch of survivor mains who played killer a few times and wants to weigh in like your opinion matters.

    Playing killer is not fun anymore and has not been for a long time. If you are a no-lifer nurse or blight main, you are going to do well against anything that isnt a survive with friends. ANY other killer really struggles to get a kill unless they camp under the hook.

    The only way to balance this game is to forget about nurse and blight and rebalance m1 killers. Share bloodpoints between survivors - that way people are rewarded or punished as a team for gameplay choices.

    Sharing points is an interesting idea I never saw suggested before.

    One thing though. Share between living survivors. Someone who dies first should have their share of the points up until that point, after that, the points get shared between the remaining 3, then the remaining 2, then last survivor gets all the points for themself.

    But at the same time it would feel unfair for the one or two survivors who do all the work while the others just urban evade around and self care in the corner.

    shared points at the end or nothing at all. The people who got out dont get out without the sacrifices of others.

    Up the kill count - less hooks more mori's. Make the game fun to play as killer.

    Then nothing at all for me. As much as I die first, I wouldn't want to share my hard earned points with someone who DC's (though those get 0) or suicides on first hook, or just dicks around.

    it's true. killer is ######### miserable. no one is afraid of the killer except noobs. killer are ######### pushovers, it's pathetic. the game should be balanced 60/40 towards killers.

    Besides the whole thing being unfair to survivors, i fail to see how this would work, considering escapes rates drop significantly everytime someone dies (hence tunneling the first person out to play a 3v1 game being meta). I can't imagine 4 ppl escaping being a 1% occurence when 1 person escaping would happen 39% of the time, it's much harder to escape when your whole team is dead.
