Bingo Card For The Upcoming Perk Changes
I'm very interested to see what they plan and thought why not have some fun and make a bingo card to see if I can get a few changes correct and hopefully nail a BINGO.
What are some ideas you think they might do to the perks?

The fact that both BBQ and WGLF were on the list makes me think that both BP bonuses will be baked into the base game. BBQ alone is a fine perk, and will get some use but not be meta without the BP bonus, and that'll be healthy for the game and open up the use of many other detection perks. I can't see them just essentially halving killer BP gains with no compensation.
Since the center is usually "free space," I would say "BHVR completely misses the point of why a perk is popular/unpopular and nerfs/buffs it in a way which has literally no impact on how often it's used."
I would also say that I think BT and Corrupt will both be made base kit with much shorter durations, and the perks will be changed to extend that effect rather than add it.

Tinkerer is probably going to get a cooldown or only activate once per gen rather than have the undetectable part removed.
Surge already affects gens being worked on doesn't it?
5 -
Yeah thats what i thought too thats why i had them both the same.
Thats true i didnt think they would do alot of basekit stuff but they both could easily be base kit.

I was tossing up between the two but i thought thry might remove undetectable and just increase movement speed so that m1 killers could still run it more effectively.
Sure affects gens in 32 metre radius, my thought is itd go map wide instead

Thinkerer no undetectable yeaaa i dont agreee one bit . What about dead hard workin 30 sec after unhook that seems more possible to happen as a nerf then your buff version of ENDURANCE.Drink some water survivor main.

All good you dont have to agree.
I think you need to understand the endurance isn't me saying that the perk still has the dash and infinite frames it's more that it may be reworked to involve an endurance effect. But yeah you are more than welcome to disagree.
Edit. Also actually my first thought for Dead Hard weeks ago was that it had a 20 - 30 second timer once you became injured.

surge/jolt on that level would be way too busted with surveillance i think...
0 -
Yeah, the way I understand this is that Dead Hard becomes a Medkit with Stypic Agent but as an exhaustion perk. I don't think this is so unlikely if they identify Dead Hard for distance as the main problem.
It'll also a bit harder to use as the killers swing has to be predicted quite precisely and they might also add another condition to it or a shorter timeframe as I feel it will be weaker as a perk than it is as a Medkit add-on.
1 -
Yeah that was exactly my thinking cause to me i though biggest issue with the perk is the distance and that it is often used not to dodge a hit but make distance.

Seeing as how many killer gen regression perks are on the list, I think they may be slowing down gen speeds across the board so killers will feel freer to run loadouts with no slowdown in them. If so they would be nerfing the regression perks so that loadouts with them don’t have a net gen speed that is too slow. (Basically it would buff loadouts without slowdown and loadouts with slowdown would be about the same as they are now.)

For Spine Chill, I don't think they're removing the speed boost, but the fact it activates when an Undetectable Killer is looking at you.
Undetectable = no Spine Chill.
Detectable (terror radius) = Spine Chill and speed boost.
That'd be more fair for GF, Myers, etc. People will have to open their eyes.
4 -
Yeah i could see that being the case for sure, that would have been my next choice for it

I think WGLF gonna get more interactions included not only save and protection.
1 -
That would be great if they did that, but i think alot of those perks may be here just cause they are popular since gen speeds are bad atm
0 -
That would be amazing, i did the bp cause i believe they will up bloodpoints per match anyway but id be happy with that
0 -
BBQ without the bloodpoint bonus is worthless. There are far superior aura reading perks + this will remove the incentive for killers to leave the hook.
0 -
Right, and the devs said that one of the goals of the rework was to look at the underlying reasons why certain perks are so popular. In the case of slowdown, they’re popular because there’s a broad perception among killers that if you don’t run a slowdown perk then the gens will be completed too quickly. So the best way to fight that perception would be baking in some of that slowdown into the base game but doing it without making the slowdown perks becoming overpowered.

I would think they're changing Surge so that both special and basic attacks can trigger it. Currently only basic attacks will trigger surge, so my best guess is they're going to include all attacks considering that's how they've changed perks in the recent past (Third Seal).

How would monstrous shrine work as a scourge hook? I guess it could turn basement hooks into scourge hooks?
You could even make noed a scourge hook. A minute of exposed for every survivor previously hooked on one.
0 -
Didnt even think of that reckon you are onto something there
0 -
Yeah i know, im not saying that what i have on the bingo card is all that will happen to the perk its just one possible change to it. But yeah if all they did was remove bp it would be pretty bad
1 -
Not sure tbh i put scourge cause it might be reworked as a scourge hook with new effects, but the basement scourge hooks does sound good.
That would be interesting as a rework

I don't think they're going to nerf all gen regression since call of brine isn't on there and it's one of the better ones. They won't nerf hope, the point of all this is to get people trying less used perks and it isn't seen often.

I think what i should of noted was that what i've put down isn't the only changes to the perk but more like a part of the changes coming, so for example with PGTW i was thinking that they would want more gen kicking but also they'd change the amount removed from the gen.
You do have alot of good points though haha i doubt i'll get bingo but will be fun to see

I agree that Gen speed is a problem but having Gens take longer at base is a long standing no go for BHVR. People already complain this game is "gen simulator".

I think it's gonna be a brand new perk tbh. Its current effects are pretty bad alone if they make the BP bonus separate to the perk.
It's more of a stretch but I would say:
WGLF loses BP bonus, BP bonus base kit.
WGLF reworked into a new perk.
Buckle Up receives WGLF's healing speed for downed teammates.
0 -
This would be interesting. I run WGLF half because of stacks and half because I like the pick up speed of the perk. If they change this perk and add it to buckle up... I'm going to be a buckle up gamer. Never thought I'd see the day where I would run buckle up.

I believe Tinkerer is going to get some form of CD, the main problem I see with it now is it hits, you scare the Survivors, regress the gen with Ruin, they come back, hits again, repeat ad nauseam, it can trigger over and over and while for regular Killers this is nothing for the high mobility Killers like Blight or Nurse its a bit too much.
Sole Survivor I dont think it will be related to people dying mainly because it would promote a wrong way of playing, this is "let your teammates die if you want to use this perk" and how strong the effects had to be to justify letting someone die? I believe it will reworked into some form of "you get this thing as long as you dont have anyone around in X meters", maybe some sort of reverese Prove Thyself?
PGTW is not getting buffed, its already a meta perk and one of the best regression perks in the game.
Distortion may get a way of increasing the tokens, the perk right now is decent but if the Killer has some sort of aura reading the tokens go down very fast, its only use is to bypass BBQ because the others just eat them too fast.
Spine Chill may get some sort of CD, the main strength and why its so favored over Premonition or Alert its its activation condition is permanent and the perk has no CD, Premonition has 30 seconds, Alert depends on the Killer breaking stuff, Spine always works.
Other than those your suggestions are pretty feasible.
Actually I believe both bonus wont be made base and they will just dissappear as grinding is going to become almost non existant once the prestige update hits so theyll give both perks another extra effect instead of the points.

I don't think they'd remove the BP bonuses altogether. Until you get everything prestiged the grind is just as massive as before, and their big issue is new player retention, there's no reason to halve the points players can get just because people with thousands of hours don't need them as much.
0 -
Not really, with the new system they announced first characters can take a while same as now but once you prestige someone to P3 you cut the number of Bloodwebs by 9 for everyone else since theyll have those perks unlocked, there will be a point where a lvl 40 Killer will have every perk unlocked because the rest of the cast is at P3 (there are 13 general perks, each has 3 ranks, 13*3 = 39 levels to get all general perks). Plus you dont lose anything after prestiging so you keep your addons, offerings and items which means there wont be any reason to not prestige anymore.
Sure they can make the BP increases base but after the update theyll be pointless.
1 -
And again, that still comes with the hurdle that you need to put 150 levels into each character before you get the benefit of the new system. Even if you have perks unlocked from other killers, you still need to P3 each new killer to get their perks, whether you have every other perk on that killer or not. The only time the grind gets smaller is that once they're P3 you don't need an additional 200 levels of perk collecting, something which no new player has to deal with for a huge amount of time anyway. The initial insurmountable grind for new players is basically untouched as they generally won't prestige something before working on a new character for teachables.

We’ll see soon enough either way.
0 -
That's the entire point of the changes.. To reduce the grind once you reach p3. And as someone who maxed out every killer before the announcement, and was working on survivors, I'm super glad with the changes. Every new killer meant having to unlock 9 levels of perks on every other killer again, there's 28 were, that's 252 perk levels just to get that last characters perks.. That's way more than the 150 webs to get the new character to p3 and unlock it all automatically on everyone else

It's BHVR... there's no chance that the bp will be base kit
1 -
Oooh Gift of Pain giving broken sounds really cool, I like that.
0 -
I like the theory that Tinkerer is going to get fully reworked with a name change.
0 -
I'm happy with the changes too, but I still don't think they're going to just remove all the major bloodpoint bonuses just because the extra grind after the important grind is less.
1 -
Oh definitely not. If they remove the points bonuses from the perks it'll be too make the bonuses basekit or something. Just because it'll be less grindy doesn't mean it's not still going to be somewhat grindy, especially for newer people. Heck even for "older" players there's still a grind
0 -
But once you get everyone at 150 which isnt that much of a problem (with current system the real grind is getting every character to P3 and once there every perk on every character), getting 150 lvls can be done relatively fast and then you would still be getting double BPs which then would go into green/purple/pink addons and items.
Imagine how the game would be if every Survivor used puple medkits instead of browns, BNPs, purple flashlights with the best bateries and all Killers running their strongest addons because thats what excess BPs does, some streamers who play only one Killer and pour BPs on them have like 200 of the best addons and some dont even use BBQ that much, I believe its something the developers dont want and one of the main reasons they didnt fix the grind just by giving double BPs as base.

Problem is, the upcoming changes will allow people to keep their items and add-ons after prestige, so you'll see people gathering the best of everything and have a ton of them to use.
